One of the former humans reached for her and she smashed the thing’s wrists with one spin of her left handed weapon and followed it up with all the force of her right striking just above its forehead her weapon at an angle to minimise its area and maximise its power. He went down like a sack of potatoes as they all did once they’d suffered enough brain damage just like anyone else. The next she had to drop with a spinning backhand to to the temple leaving her open briefly to an attack from another had she not went into a crouch kicking its feet out with a sweep follow with a flip of her tonfa which she used the handle like a hammer hearing a pop of bone and the thing sagging limp. As she snapped to a standing position she watched as the last of her group head into the storm drain which she dropped down into soaking the impact at the bottom with her legs forcing her to sink into a squat as the soles of her feet stung with the force. Luckily it was of a common battery type (triple As) but she hadn’t had a chance lately to find any to replace those she’d already been forced to use. She didn’t just click it on and point it up the tunnel knowing it would blind those head of her pointing it instead at the nearby wall so it would reflect off and illuminate the tunnel in dim light.
