First, she looked at the boy who confirmed her sentiment that they remain silent and obedient. His number was 1. She looked and saw the 6 on hers. What did that mean? Why were they all numbered? Was 1 better than 6 or the other way around? Either way, she gave the boy with number 1 on his arm a comforting smile. He seemed to have a clear head, despite the circumstances. 6 could read the group and she knew they were getting antsy, but it would be stupid to try to fight now. Even if one of the guards screwed up and opened for attack, there were others who could control the situation. No, it was smart to play it safe, at least for now. Once they saw an opening, if they all fought back, it would be better odds. The one guy, the leader of the group taking them she assumed, would pose the most trouble. She inched herself closer to him. Should any of the others try for an attack, she could reason with the man, or perhaps take him on herself. Either way, she had a feeling they weren't being led out to freedom.
