Update - IC Delays
Not my fault.. The following players have not given their say on the upcoming post(s): [@baraquiel], [@Pseudo Stygian], [@Rabidporcupine], [@RoccanIronclad], It has been just over a week. Times up. (unless you did say something and I missed it, like a fool) To those of you who have given their say, you have my gratitude. The IC post is in the works and was supposed to be done by today but with the Guild site going haywire it was impossible to write it up. To the players currently filling a Teacher role, if you want to have your character do something IC please let me know. There's an optional event same as the Students are getting that you can participate in, to show off what your teacher is capable of.
[@Feisty-Pants] While I do like the Gladatorial Paladin of the Academy angle you're working for, you have taken a very big liberty with the Headmaster here. I don't recall saying yes to it. Kano would never adopt someone from a different element but his own without justifiable cause. He would have given you a home, a path, and a way to walk it, but adoption? You didn't even use his name. Just 'The Headmaster adopted me <3'. Asking me before you went ahead and said it might have been enough for a yes but that ship is sailed, closed forever. Under no circumstance should you be putting someone elses established character as part of your backstory without at least an inquiry. Her ability to create light weave, bendable silk like material at will within a few seconds, is an interesting concept. I like it. What I don't like is just how much power you believe a 21 year old can muster. "Dozens of swords"? Try like 3 at a time. At best. Your ability to create armor in such definition as you have described is on the scale of nothing short of a Primal. The living embodiment of the element itself. Capable of twisting it with barely a thought as it reshapes and hardens on a microscopic scale, allowing it to be armor that isn't actually just a big series of hard light planks. Impossible to control for a sustained period of time longer than a few seconds. Can't stress enough how much I want to like your character and would ultimately serve my purposes down the road when the real threats emerge, but as you are it would make those events trivial. tl;dr - limited bladework, no armor (Maybe a shield?), no adoption, bump up her age a bit. Maybe like 24/25. Fix these please and we can properly accept you.
