Perhaps it was the night air, cold and brisk even in warmer seasons, that forced her awake not incredibly long after fainting. Perhaps it was the levitation spell which made it hard for even the wounded to remain in a state of unconsciousness, but whatever the case, Dagny's eyes slowly opened, groggily, as though they were heavy from lack of sleep. She focused on her surroundings, trying to make sense of the city lights, scattered all about her. The noise in her ears - chatter, cars passing by, honking - were all contributing to her confusion. Was she outside? Of the tunnel? Her heart skipped a beat and immediately after, panic took hold of her. Though wounded and weakened, adrenaline picked up the slack for her and she found herself struggling against the spell to the best of her ability. "No, no!" She shouted as loudly and demandingly as she could muster: "Let go of me, let go of me right this goddamn instant! You can't!" She kicked and shoved and tried her best to escape the grasp of the elf whom she hadn't even bothered to look at again in her frenzy and whom she did not remember seeing mere minutes before. "They're here, they're out here, I won't let you take me back!"
