Oh, is it too late to join already?
Faction Leader Name: Lexi Kern Appearance: Lexi, like most citizens of the Collective, is tall and lean, healthy looking female in her thirties. She has dark long hair and there is an ever-present smile on her face. Most of the time she wears a white lab cloak and comfortable clothes underneath it. Short Bio: Lexi was born on Earth in a rather poor family. She was always a great student, interested in studying human body and helping people. Her family didn’t have enough money to pay for a proper higher education, but Lexi worked hard and earned scholarships on the best universities, soon becoming an expert in medicine. After her brother died from a botched-up augmentation, she left Earth and travelled between the First Worlds, working as a doctor. She could see how irresponsibly people treated their bodies, tainting it with unnecessary technology, often to the point of becoming more machine than a man. She was lucky enough to stumble over the Nibari Collective, at that time only a small group of people who renounced all augmentations and implants. The Collective quickly grew stronger, and soon they decided to leave their original world and start anew somewhere else. The journey wasn’t without difficulties, but after landing on Aio and building foundations of Siderea, the people could finally rest, having a peaceful place to live as they wanted to. Lexi never cared much about the politics, she appreciated that the people were chosen for the Committee based on their skills and intelligence but had no interest in becoming one of them. Rather than that she invested her time and effort into research, trying to eradicate several diseased that appeared when the Collective was settling on Aio. Two years ago, she was chosen to join the Committee and she reluctantly agreed, under the condition that she could also continue with her research. Being chosen a representative for the entire Collective didn’t affect her life much – at the time, it was mostly a formal position with no real responsibilities.
Faction name: The Nibari Collective Settlement name: Siderea Colony Theme: The Nibarians believe that human body is sacred and should not be tainted by any mechanical or genetical augmentations. They prefer using advanced exoskeletons and various piloted machinery and focus on improving those, rather than their bodies. Population Notes: Population is 100% human. Augmented people may enter the cities to trade or visit but will never be considered citizens. Any citizen who undergoes any form of bodymodding loses their rights and are imprisoned or executed. The society is strongly focused on family and health. Multiple generations of one family often live together and have close relationships. Every couple is encouraged to have at least five children to help the population grow. Personal health is also very important – healthy and balanced meals and regular exercise are values that each citizen holds dear. Nibarians don’t believe in democracy, but rather in technocracy or geniocracy, meaning the society is led by a group of experts and intelligent people from various fields. This group is called The Committee. Its members pass laws and edicts in their respective fields, and debate with others over matters that cover multiple areas. Each year, they elect one member to be the representative of the Collective. Critical Infrastructure Governing District Governing District is not a district per se. Different governmental buildings for each ministry stand in the appropriate areas – the Ministry of Research is located in the center of the research campus in Siderea, the Ministry of Agriculture near the hydroponics gardens complex, etc. There is one central complex – The Governmental Hub, a beautiful tall building surrounded with parks, lakes and playgrounds in the center of Siderea. This is a place where the Committee meets, but also a place to which every citizen can come and raise a suggestion, make a complaint, or just spend some time with their families. Space Asset - Mining station Janko-6 Located at a nearby asteroid field, this mining station serves as a base for a squad of mining drones and their operators. Janko-6 provides the colony with various materials critical for its development. The raw ores are transported right into the industrial zone via cargo freighters. Write-in Assets 1) Industrial Complex – a large complex located outside of Siderea, filled with smelters, refineries and various factories. The industry is focused on creating advanced exoskeletons, remotely piloted drones and machinery used to make life of the Nibarians easier. There are also multiple landing pads for cargo freighters near the smelters. 2) Research and Development Campus – the smartest citizens gather here to improve existing technologies and research new ones. The research is heavily focused on machinery, mechanics, advanced materials and medicine. There are also universities and education centers located in the campus. 3) The Gardens of Iol – a massive complex of hydroponic gardens, providing food for the population. The plants are grown under artificial light and in strictly guarded environment. The complex provides jobs for hundreds of people, who tend to the plants with the help of remotely controlled drones. Part of the complex also consists of recyclers – waste is turned into clean water and fertilizers. Water used in the hydroponics is also recycled a lot, the excess water is condensed and reused. 4) The House of Asclepius – large medical center located near the center of Siderea. This complex of hospitals and medical facilities provides every kind of care – assisted reproduction clinic for couples that are having trouble conceive children, maternity hospital, physicians for children and adults, skilled surgeons and experts from other fields of medicine, even hospices.
