James sipped at his ale as he listened to conversations a few locals were having near the bar. Much was rather mundane and failed to have much use to James, how crops were doing, the procession of heros earlier today, and how local trade was. What did catch his attention was a man and a woman guessing at why the heros are here. James ordered two more ales and approached their table. After talking with them and giving them each an ale, he learned bot of giants to the north but the southwest. The news from the north was adventurers being commissioned for a vaguely worded quest in Vael Turag. Some folks went to check it out but have not returned, so it supposedly a dangerous quest. After learning that, James figured that was about all he would get this night and returned to the castle. Upon his arrival to the castle, James inquired about where the others were. He was told by one of the guards that some have already gathered in the great hall. James stepped into the hall, his cloak smoldering and smelling of brimstone and his new rapier in it sheath on his belt, just as Marcus finished speaking about something being broken. He quickly noted that there were only a few of the others here and the Duke. "Discussing your finding in the library?" James inquired as he took a seat near the middle of the table. He looked over the course. It was opulent, almost excessively so in James eyes. He grabbed some bread and a few cuts of beef and a tankard of the dwarven ale. "Hopeful you were able to find some information on our does to the North and the West. I know the folk around here don't have much to say about giants and dragons to the north. Just a vaguely worded quest in Vael Turag that a few people have gone to check out but have not returned." He said rather indirectly while dipping the bread in some of the beef drippings.
