Announcement
The GM team have been in discussion, and we have decided to make a few changes which should hopefully enhance the game. If you have any concerns or feedback, please tell us.
Avatars
We have decided to change how much Avatars cost. While Avatars are powerful, we do not believe that they grow exponentially more valuable as you get more. Furthermore, as Avatars tend to provide more versatility and diversity, they are typically beneficial for roleplaying and story. The new sequence of Avatar pricing is: 1-2-4-8-12-16-20-24-... where the price increases by 4 MP per Avatar. Deceased Avatars still increase the cost of future Avatars, encouraging you to preserve Avatars. The new pricing sequence is identical to the old for the first four Avatars.
Fate's Might Pot
We have a bunch of Might sitting around in Fate's Might Pot and not much to use it on. The GM team has decided that Fate can give out grants/loans to demigods or gods who petition Fate for some special project. The details are as follows: First, as a player, you must send a PM to us GMs to discuss your plans. We will go through the process of negotiating and approving your plan, determining whether you actually need the grant, the size of the grant, and what special conditions might be tied to that grant. Second, after receiving approval, you would make a post in the IC where your character calls upon Fate, meets Fate, and (likely after some dialogue) receives Might from Fate's Might Pot along with any associated conditions. This can be written yourself- all the clerical matters will have been predetermined via PM. Third, you are to spend the received Might in the manner you had agreed to do, lest you bring upon yourself the ire of the Primordials. Alternatively, Fate might spend the Might on your behalf, depending on what you had agreed upon with the GMs. These grants are aimed mostly at demigods, because they are typically at a disadvantage Might-wise, but are also open to gods albeit with more stringent conditions. The main idea is to help give people assistance if they want to contribute something to the story but don't have enough Might to do so.
Levelling up Heroes with Might
Nothing special here. The original table of values was found to be flawed about half way through, so we are replacing it with:
Levels 1-8: 1 Level per 0.25 MP Levels 8-16: 3 Levels per 1 MP Levels 16-24: 1 Level per 0.5 MP Levels 24-32: 1 Level per 1 MP Levels 32-40: 1 Level per 2 MP Levels 40-48: 1 Level per 3 MP Levels 48-56: 1 Level per 4 MP Levels 56-64: 1 Level per 5 MP Levels 64-72: 1 Level per 6 MP Beyond this, each group of 8 Levels costs one more MP per Level than the previous group.
Since no heroes are that high level, this change does not affect anyone.
