Yeah, I wanted to explore what the meeting place would be between a corporate state and a military dictatorship - turns out it's not a very nice place to live. Also, I have a fun mental image of a bunch of criminal mooks panicking when they get into a gunfight with the PCs because they realize, 'Oh shit, they have a French guy!"
