[b][color=f7941d]Appearance: [/color][/b] His appearance is not as glamorous or elegant due to constant use of his gear due to his fast-paced lifestyle and occupation, numerous nicks, scratches, and weathering litter his suit, the same could be said to his appearance, various scars and scratches adorn his face and body, whereas his facial structure is Germanic and quite defined, and his body is of the Mesomorph type. His hair has been kept away from becoming wildly overgrown, and is shown in consideration of not being a mess, his facial hair has been grown to a shadow of stubble, yet nothing more, to avoid complications of wearing his helmet. He wears no logos, sigil, or any adornments along his armor, leaving the blank appearance of his dark suit and armor to signify his occupation.

[b][color=f7941d]History:[/color][/b] Ryland Astorix conceived on Arxiss Asteroid Colony (Former)  in The Belt at 1:38 AM Earth Standard Time. Astorix, a commonplace name given to some Humans who chose to live their lives among the Asteroids and their Stations in conjunction of a surname formed from the two. At the age of Five, the Arxiss Asteroid Colony (Former) is destroyed by unforeseen collision. Ryland survived on evacuation barge, the mother of Ryland is killed on Arxiss. Ryland with his Male Parent lives in slums of the Floating City Carris on the planet of Uranus. Astorix is hospitalized due to gang-related violence. Laceration scar persists on left forearm, his father is killed in gang related violence. Due to the demise of his guardians, at age Ten Ryland is put on room and board at the [i]Saint’s Arms Orphanage and Hostel[/i] in the City of Carris.

For Six years, Ryland is subjected to the harsh parent-less life on the floating city of Carris, subjecting himself to gang-related infighting and lifestyle, until affording enough to enlist his services among a mercenary group and their ship to leave the floating city in search of employment, and payment. At the age of Sixteen, Ryland is placed under the care of a small mercenary group, trained and raised under the code and lifestyle of space-faring mercenaries requiring payment for services that could not be done without violence, weapons, or the use of such to either threaten, or further one's means of payment. Ryland, for four years, was taught the mercenaric ways of dealing with situations across the stars, from persuasion and diplomacy, to a tactical sense of preserving more than what should be lost, to running and gunning to finish something quickly.

At the age of 20, Ryland left the mercenary group, and became a sole unit, utilizing a personal shuttle, or a cheap space-bus, he would enlist his services in the local cluster, collecting bounties and payments for jobs done by himself, rather than in a group. At the age of 22, Ryland earned the nickname of 'Paladin', his old name rarely being mentioned due to the commonality of his nickname; earning this title through an unforeseen feat of kindness, accepting a bounty to assassinate the heads of the 'Stricken' group, known for their vast ties in Human Trafficking accusations, the subsequent release of those unfortunate souls had them chanting the title 'Paladin' for the masked Bounty Hunter. For three years since then, Paladin has been continuing his Bounty Hunting lifestyle under the guide of his nickname.


[b][color=f7941d]Personality:[/color][/b] Ryland is known to seem stern and intimidating during the missions where he is seen, or rather stoic and to-the-point. Whilst conducting any mission, Ryland is known to take the personality and mindset of what needs to [i]be[/i] in order to get the mission done without the loss of his life; he will however, push these boundaries up until, the loss of his life, either in regard to careless abandon, or for a thrilling sense of tempting fate.

While not conducting a mission, on his leisure time, whenever or wherever that may be, he is quite lax, easy-going, and rather gregarious, feeling the need to sate his social desires not acquired during his bounties, or missions, in order to maintain his appearance of an employable bounty hunter. While [i]off-duty[/i] he enjoys a good conversation, or the opportunity to count his earnings, or prepare himself and his equipment for his next outing. A problem is that when he communicates, he tends to ramble, go on tangents, anything but end the pleasant conversations he has briefly. He has a tendency to expect the same results he produces among those who classify with him, and will tend to push others past their limits if need be to meet his level on the field, during deployments, or completing tasks. He also enjoys throwing objects at people, as well as throwing people, at something, or out an airlock. In attempts to stop himself from overconversating, he has become a workaholic, and will make attempts in strides to busy himself in his work, and preparation of such. He is a chain smoker and will take any opportunity he gets to light up a familiar brand, and take a puff, with or without his helmet. Air quality is at a minimum in his quarters while he is smoking.
