His pale golden eyes, often bearing a guarded expression, are only intensified by the relative paleness of his skin and hair(trademark signs of his half-Auron parentage), often giving him a rather ethereal look. Carving it's way down the left side of his face is a long scar, going from his temple to his chin in a pale line of darkened tissue, a memento from an incident long past. When it comes to his attire, he tends to go for plain choices and dark colors when it comes to his casual clothes. A black shirt, some pants or shorts, socks, shoes, and you're done. There have been attempts by some to make his wardrobe more varied, but these attempts never really seem to stick as they end up relegated to the back of this closet before long. [s]Exedo's true form is a vaguely humanoid creature, covered in a number of fungal-looking growths that tend to extend outward when ever he gets agitated, excited, or angered. Standing a bit over 7 ft in height, he towers over a great many races, his hardened dark blue flesh covered in a number of glowing lines that intersect at times to form strange symbols upon his figure, often shifting in regards to his emotions and current mental state in both size, color, and number. He has no eyes, yet can still see his surroundings perfectly well through the fungal growths on his head, as they emit a special form of psionic signal, thus giving him a clear idea of his surroundings much like a form of echo location. The composition of his body, while seemingly fungal, is actually a rather large colony of microscopic organisms capable of near perfect mimicry of any sort of organic material, if they've sampled enough of it. The whole colony is held together by a Psionic consciousness, the core of which is generally located somewhere in his chest area, even when he's disguised. If damaged, the colony is incapable of keeping a disguise, and hardly able of holding it's true form as the core struggles to command the rest of the body to act. In human form, it serves as the place holder for the human heart, and acts in a pantomime of the organ to better sell the disguise under xloser examination[/s] Social Sexuality/Preference: Straight [s]N/A[/s] Allies: N/A Enemies: Some rival mercs that he's had the misfortune of crossing paths with [s]The Humans who found, Perhaps Humanity as a whole[/s] Likes: Sweets, reading, alone time, Video games, Art, Beautiful things, Nature, Animals, Freedom Dislikes: People, invasions of privacy and personal space, loud noises, unhelpful criticisms, doctors, People who don't care about the environment, Slavery Hobbies: Reading, Photography, Biology [s]Fighting Strong Opponents, Hunting, Serving the Matriarch(?), Protecting the Weak[/s] Personality: To most, Tyras is a quiet, withdrawn individual, prone to spend long periods of time with only himself for company. While not necessarily an unfriendly person, he always seems to put a firm wall between himself and anyone that tries to converse with him, responding to small talk in cold tones that leave few uncertain to his apparent dislike for such interactions. While he can at times be coaxed into discussion on matters of literature, perhaps even the current matter of politics, but he's very unlikely to let such conversations stray from these topics. However, Tyras isn't entirely without a soft side, no matter how much he likes to portray himself that way. While many would say that he definitely used to be friendlier in the past, he has proven no less willing to head straight into danger to help others, even those he's shown an obvious distaste for. Not only that, but he often proves to be a rather good listener when it comes to people who he finds more tolerable, more than content with letting them just vent at him, offering just a parting bit of insight where appropriate. Tyras remembers being a lot more open and friendly with people in the past, but for some reason, the very thought of trying to engage with others fills him with such apprehension and disdain, it honestly scares him a bit. [s]Exedo is . . . confused, for lack of a better word. Tyras' mind has long since bled into the Va'Riaak's, leaving him with a host of emotions and feelings that he isn't sure he had before. Despite not knowing anything of his past, these . . . "feelings" are definitely a foreign concept to him, fitting strangely within his mind and shifting his personality as they acquiesce further into his mental state. So much so that, if placed in a situation that would leave Tyras feeling any heightened state of emotion, Exedo is likely to feel it much more intensely due to his inexperience with such feelings, and as a result, can at times break into uncharacteristic outbursts of emotion that often shock or, in relation to some darker emotions, scare those around him. He's gotten a little bit at handling these emotional surges after a year as Tyras, but it's by no means an easy feat and often leaves him mentally exhausted afterwards. The emotional bleed has also seemed to intensify some of the few urges that seem natural to Exedo, those being the urge to protect those under his protection with an almost zealous and self-sacrificial zeal, as well as an inherent sense of servitude to those her recognizes as his superiors, particularly those of the seemingly female persuasion. He has no clue why these urges to serve, protect, and obey are so strong within him that they continue to exist despite him having no context for them, but at times he finds comfort, mostly in taking on the roll of protector, as they fill him with a sense satisfaction, of purpose that is so absent from the rest of his condition.[/s] Equipment ► Weapons: Energy Rifle Railgun Plazma Cannon Heavy Laser Dual Pistols Shotgun: Omni-Gauntlet: Energy Sword Slashing Knife Stabbing Daggers Grenades ► Combat Attire: ► Accessories/Miscellaneous: A variety of books, some plain clothes, an undersuit to his armor, some sleepwear, a portable gaming device with a number of titles downloaded onto it. Comes complete with it's own holo-screen and four controllers. He alo carries a number of maintenance kits for each of his weapons, due to the specific needs a lot of them need to be kept in tip-top shape, as well as a few general kits for use on anything that isn't his, as well as to serve as practice materials for those on board. To that end, he also has a number of model guns of similar weight and construction to the average weapon of it's type, each one equipped to fire non-lethal rubber pellets(note, they will still sting like a bitch if hit, as an incentive to the individual to not get hit. He also has some model energy weapons that fire a harmless concussive beam rather than a heated one, so as to show the difference in the feel of fighting with a kinetic weapon and an energy weapon, and training melee arms, though this isn't quite his area of expertise, and as such, won't be much of a focus in his training of the crew to defend themselves. Fighting Style ➣ [General/Preferred Style]: Tyras oft prefers a run and gun fighting style that keeps him constantly on the move, thus favoring agility and maneuverability in his armors as oppsed to heavy protective armors. An expert marksman and skilled in the use of a great many types of weaponry, from pistols to railguns, it isn't hard to see why he was chosen to be the weapon specialist for this operation, despite his young age. He also no less dangerous when the fight is brought into close quarters, trained in self-defense by the PMC that he ran off to when he was young, he can handle himself quite well in a fist fight. That said, he is still an unaltered human, albeit a well-trained one, so this i san area he tries to avoid when he can when facing those with a distinct physical advantage against him, whether it be natural or not. [s]Exedo's fighting abilities differ only slightly from those of Tyras, as he has no memories of any fighting techniques to consciously draw from, tho he sometimes feels him slip into a more structured stance when engaging in hand-to-hand combat than what Tyras was taught, but the moment often fades quickly. When in his true form, Exedo prefers to fight in close range, due to the limitations of his psionic-based vision when it comes to long distance engagements. Not only that, but his ability to more freely manipulate his body in that form makes him more able to engage foes, employing enhanced strength and durability to overpower his foes before they can have a chance to retaliate in kind.[/s] ➣ [Weapon of Choice]: Grenadesusually 4 in total, of 2 different types Slashing Knife Dual Pistols Energy Rifle ➣ [Special Abilities/Affinities]: Va'Riaak Warrior Caste Composition: Va'Riaak of this caste are much more robust than those of other caste, having a reduced vulnerability to extreme heat that cause many of the Va'riaak to completely fall apart. That being said, this doesn't mean that things such as fire, plasma, or lasers not prove effective against the a va'Riaak foe, only that contact with these types of attacks don't instanlty cause their body to start breaking apart. The same can be said for the use of high frequency noises and vibrations, tho to a lesser extent. These still remain two of a Va'riaak biggest vulnerabilities, but as a warrior caste, the introduction of these elements don't automatically mean a fight is lost, only that the difficulty of winning has gone up by a fair bit. Some other strengths to a Va'Riaak body composition is that, if in full control of their host body, they can manipulate their body mass to assimilate into their "true form" through use of organites produced by the core. This form is variable, depending highly on both the caste an individual Va'Riaak if from, and the Va'Riaak themselves, and is likely to change in appearance throughout their life. Unlike when in Host form, where they're mostly trapped by the limitations of the body, True form allows them a more dynamic control of their body down to the cellular level. While there are seemingly tons of possibilities for this, this power doesn't come without a few limitations, the main one being that altering this form willy-nilly will rapidly drain a Va'Riaak of energy. This will often put the individual at risk of entering a dormant state that can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. To avoid this, most Va'Riaak instinctively choose more conservative ways of altering the body, such as increasing or decreasing it's density to enhance either durability or agility, messing about with the elasticity of their musculature to increase their strength, and so on. These alterations can make the Va'Riaak very dangerous while in their true forms, but the form is still very energy intensive to maintain for most Va'Riaak, including Exedo. the utmost one could reasonably stay in this form without exhausting themself is about 5-10 minutes, maybe 15 if they use the alterations sparingly. Any longer than that, and the Va'Riaak dips into the low and will be forced to enter a dormant stat either as soon as they exit the true form or once a total of one hour has passed, whichever comes first. Va'Riaak Healing: Va'Riaak are also capable of self-healing in both forms(though the process can still be rather costly), once again through the use of organites. The methods of healing are twofold: Firstly, taking energy directly from the core to create a surge of organites to reconstruct and repair any damage sustained, an effective method that also puts quite the strain upon the Core's energy reserves. The second way is through the consumption of Bio-mass, either that from the Host body itself or from an external source. Generally the preferred method due to the fact that it eases the strain on the body. this process is often best preformed after a battle has taken place, due to the fact that it requires the Va'Riaak to remain still for an extend period of time while his Organites first breakdown the biotic material, then transplant it to the sight of the injury and commence with the healing process. Note that this form of healing can indeed be used on other beings, but this should not be attempted if applied on species of a difference race than the Host body, and even then only when the Va'Riaak has an extensive knowledge of how the anatomy of the race works. Otherwise, the Va'Riaak in question can easily make a mistake in ordering his Organites to repair the damage and indeed make it worse. hat being said, a quick patch job to staunch bleeding or meld the flesh of an open wound is usually simple enough to keep the subject alive, if only for a little while. As a member of the warrior Caste, Exedo is able to more easily repair himself than other castes, as well as using his Organites to block certain nerve pathways in the Host Body in order to numb the pain experienced Va'Riaak Symbiosis: Va'Riaak are capable of two methods of bonding with a host body, either they cooperate with the host and share control of the body, which is the optimal ideal for the Va'Riaak, or by taking full control of the Host Body. This is done by either subduing the Host body's consciousness with Psionics, or by attempting to basically render them brain-dead with a Psionic overload of their brain. The latter of these options is something that is considered somewhat overtly cruel in Va'Riaak culture, as well as wasteful due to the fact that, if the Va'Riaak ever mves on to a different host, the previous one is usually unusable by another host due to the damages to their min through psionics making it impossible for another Va'Riaak to take their place. Telepathy: Due to both the latent psionic ability most Va'Riaak have and Tyras' own affinity with Psionics due to his auron blood, Tyras has a stronger Psionic connection than normal for a human-auron hybrid, tho it's rather under developed due to Tyras not having had much use for Psionics in his life. Still, he has potential, and while lacking a study of a particular path, he does have innate ability to easily connect with other Auron through a telepathic link. Connecting with other races is too difficult for him unless they are also psionicly inclined Path of [Name of the path]: TBD ☆ [ability 1]: TBD ☆ [ability 2]: TBD Personal Relationship Status: Single. [s]N/A[/s] Family: Tyras never really knew his parents, his mother having died during childbirth and his Auron father having left her well before that. Luckily or him, a friend of his mother's took him, an Orsen mercenary, Thul'ahsotro, that owed her a life debt. Along side him would be his main squad, who all had a hand in shaping Tyras into the Merc he grew up to be. Known Languages:Galactic Standard[Spoken and written], Orsen Standard[Spoken and written] Personal History/Background: Tyras' story is nothing special, not really. Just another orphan of the stars, his frail mother having been unable to probably give birth to him and passing away during the procedure while his father was never around in the first place. The only one there for this orphan star was a hulking Orsen mercenary that had pledge his life to defending the woman who had given him life. Luckily for him, Thul'ahsotro considered the debt to be transferable. From then onward, Tyras proved himself to be a the loveable pain-in-the-neck that Thul had ever had the pleasure of dealing with. While the Orsen's way of life was tough, and his teachings and parenting tougher still, was able to take it all on with a grin on his face. Under Thul's guidance, it was quickly discovered that Tyras held quite a talent for understanding and using many different forms of weaponry, able to quickly pick their function and use with in minutes of studying it. Not only that, but he also turned out to be a rather good shot , quickly earning himself the moniker of 'Trickshot Tyras' at the age of 16 for his tendency to attempt a number of challenging shots during both training and in real combat scenario. He wouldn't join the Silver tusk's officially till he was 18 years of age, but Thul had been taking him on missions when he was as young as 14, and the two proved to be an effective team. It's hard to deal with sniper taking out all of your men with a railgun when any attempts to get close are met with a giant mountain of an Orsen is standing in your way with a White Dwarf level Gravity Hammer in one hand and a Rail-Shotgun in the other. As such, it was little wonder that Tyras was chosen to take part in the GTG's special expedition as the weapon specialist. The Silver tusk recognized him as one of the best they had to offer, trained by the best mercenary they've ever had since birth. When he got the notification of his involvement of the project, he couldn't help but feel more proud of his accomplishments, glad to achieve such a high honor with this recognition. However, they had a bout a year or so before mission start, as some other crew members still need to be contacted, so Tyras worked in one more mission, a relatively low risk op to guard some scientist while they explore a strange meteor that crashed into a nearby moon. The wildlife was known to get a bit ornery, but it was nothing that he couldn't handle. He just wanted to get a bit of pocket change for the mission ahead all squared away. Life couldn't be better.
