Fucking move!" Without asking for it, Hiroko soon had the help she needed. Leeroy leapt to her aid, albeit in angrily manner as he shouted at Hiroko to get out of the way. Remembering the American had a rather useful tool to pry open the manhole, Hiroko stood back, raising her aluminum baseball bat to guard herself, the rest of the group, and their only exit out of this madness. One by one the party begun to flood through the manhole, stepping into the dark abyss that awaited them. No one was certain what would be down below--not even someone as intelligent as Hiroko was. It was all a guessing game, but none of the group had time to casually guess what might be down there. While the group descended, Hiroko found herself waiting, holding back the walkers that were desiring a tasty meal. Perhaps she was stupid for risking her life for some strangers Hiroko hardly knew, but even then, as a teacher, Hiroko knew she couldn't let harm come to them. They were her comrades in arms, and Hiroko had already seen enough death. Once everyone was out of harm's way, Hiroko gave the walker-infested streets one last look before descending herself. Pulling the manhole closed with all the strength she could muster, Hiroko climbed down the ladder, landing in ankle deep water. She wasn't sure where they were, or if they would be able to escape the winding tunnels, but Hiroko knew one thing for certain: it reeked. Nonetheless, Hiroko tried her hardest to ignore the stench that came from the tunnels. "Is everyone here?" Hiroko asked as she attempted to catch her breath, while those with flashlights turned them on to see in the darkness. It was evident that not everyone was okay, given Maureen's ankle injury, yet Hiroko hoped to God that no one was bitten. They were all exhausted, and just like a bite was a death sentence, it could easily become one for the group too.
Short post, but I wanted to give the group some respite before they planned their next action. Anyway, I know most of you had already spoken to me within the OOC about sticking around, but I thought to include a roll call just so everyone knows that the RP is back in business.
