Welcome to my interest check, thank you for showing some tentative interest. ~le bow~ I am OfWindAndRain, or you may refer to me as Rogue, Will (or an variant of the name- William, Willy, etc.), or Resident. I am an avid gamer- too many games to count, easily in the triple digits- and even more enthusiastic reader. Overwatch, World of Warships, Command and Conquer, Civilization, Arma 3... or, if you're looking for books I read, you can find me buried in fantasy or scifi- anything by the author Christopher G. Nutall, Rick Riordan, and more. In addition to all this... I am a writer. A good one, I'd imagine, though that might just be what little of an ego I have talking. Advanced-level, with some pride in always having posts that are at least ONE THOUSAND characters long, and can often reach or surpass FOUR THOUSAND characters. Monologue is something I enjoy writing- giving insight in a character's thought process while they make connections. Generally, much like myself, I enjoy writing characters that do have a sense of respect and honor towards others- often polite, or quiet. I can write many different types of characters, but I'll most likely default to intelligent, well-brought-up sorts. I myself am a former college student. I tried college for a semester, loved the people and community, sick and tired of class. I'm currently working, as well as searching for a job and home in the Dallas/Denton area since I'd like to live/work there more permanently. I have aspirations to having a simple job to pay the bills and pass the days, while I play games, save up for a gaming computer, and brainstorm on good ideas to write books on. tl;dr: Gamer, reader, sick of school, working. Respect for the partner; no hostility or negativity towards the other, please 3. Usual rules for roleplaying- no godmode, metagame, etc. 4. Brainstorming. I'd like to throw ideas back and forth. 5. OOC conversation- sometimes we get a rapport going and we don't ever bother talking to each other, but I do wanna talk to you. You don't have to, I respect one's distance, but I appreciate making new friends as well as new partners. 6. I'm currently interested in the following: ROMANCE - above all else, I love love. I'm a lonely dude, writing warm-and-fluttery hearts is fun and improves my mood, and I feel like in doing so it helps me become a little better of a person. SCIFI - I do love me some laser beams and railguns. However! I don't like unrealistic scifi- I enjoy things being as realistic as possible. That guy can't teleport just cause, he teleports because of an advanced device using lots of power... that laser beam isn't a bolt of colored energy flying at me, it's an invisible beam of extreme heat that melts stuff at near-instant speeds. Cause it's near instant. This stuff can be real fun even with it being realistic, guys, give it a try! FANTASY - Yo I love fantasy! Honestly, I'll do almost anything. If you wanna play a centaur? Go right ahead. Elf? I approve. Hell, even if you like monstergirls, I'm up for that. I do need some quest of some sort to focus the story, on, though! A good bad guy, a plague, or some place to defend... SUPERNATURAL... tentatively - I'm curious/interested in supernatural roleplays, but they've never worked out well for me- I usually ended up losing interest. If you've got something supernatural and real interesting, then by all means share. If it's just some average supernatural plot, however, I'm out. FANDOM... tentatively - I could do fandoms- video games, books, etc.- but I'm only willing to roleplay certain characters from certain universes. Otherwise, I'd much rather use the universe, but not the characters. I've often enjoyed plots that go parallel to the books', allowing for various run-ins and effects to butterfly-effect between the original story, and our story. The Meat![/color][/sup][/h3] Now, I'm up for just about anything, however, these are pairings that I've been curious more than most lately. Bolded is my [i]default[/i] role. If you want to play either in particular, I'd be happy to switch. Italics is a [i]preferred[/i] role, meaning I'd VERY much prefer that. Do also keep in mind I only do FxF, or MxF. I'll play either M or F, but I will not do MxM. Succubus x [b]Summoner[/b] [i]Incubus[/i] x [F]Summoner [i]Scholar/Magician[/i] x Monstergirl or Elf [b]Small Starship Captain[/b] x AI-in-a-body [color=red]NOTE: These hiders contain ideas, first with information on the universe and the main character, and then the beginning of a plot. No plot idea will be written with a major enemy or end, as that could be brainstormed with the partner to suit both our interests and tastes. All of these are 18+[/color] Legend: RMC = Romance ACT = Action ADV = Adventure FTS = Fantasy MDR = Modern FTR = Future/Scifi [hider=RMC/ACT/FTS - Borderland Estate] Far to the West are the Outerlands- a land filled with vicious beasts and mythical creatures. Dragons and minotaurs, herds of wild centaurs and hordes of orcs, all sorts of creatures dwell there. Occasionally, small nations rise- a nation of orcs, goblins, kobolds. At one point there was even an empire, long ago, ruled by dragons and home to all manner of beasts. But between the lands of the humans, where kingdoms quarrel and city-states nestle defensively, and these dangerous Outerlands... is the Borderland. Not many people live in the wild, lush Borderlands, given that more dangerous creatures from the Outerlands enjoy raiding humans. However, creatures born and raised in the Outerlands have a unique vitality given to them, and those lands are lusher and more fertile. So, the Borderlands are more valuable, but much more dangerous. And because of the danger, some kingdoms enjoy employing those that live on Borderland estates to guard their kingdom(s) against invaders. The Main Character is one such person- a relative of the now-deceased Demison line, a somewhat renowned family known for their excellent horses, bred in the Borderlands, and for holding their land against invaders. The Main Character, only recently leaving service of the military, is given the deed to the estate to protect and utilize, and so he returns with his bow and arrow. Only to find that, with all the other properties of their famous horses, the land, the house, stable, and barn, there's also a list of... more mythical creatures being held. And so the Main Character meets Your Character, who isn't aware that the new owner is half-[Your Character's Race] himself. ((Example: MC is larger than average, featuring stronger features and a greater constitution and hardiness, due to being part-centaur. In addition, he's never had any interest in the human woman he's come across- until he meets Your Character, a centaur, who is the only female he's met that gets his blood going in any fashion.))[/hider][hider=RMC/ADV/FTS - The Master Elementalist] He didn't expect to have any real affinity to anything. After all, of all the 'elements' that one could wield, you would only be proficient in one, half-as proficient in two others, and alright in all the other elements. The maximum proficiency ever recorded was a Light Mage, with a score of 780. Most people score about 500 in their best element, and anywhere from 200-300 in their second and third. Each element had a range of utility- Light magic dealt with anatomy and positivity Dark magic dealt with countering and negativity Fire magic dealt with heat and passion Water magic dealt with fluids and erosion Air magic dealt with winds and flight Earth magic dealt with earth, metals, and solidity Time magic dealt with the ether of the universe No one has ever wielded Time magic- that seemed a skill reserved for the gods. Every Element had a different realm- the Fire realm with nothing but fire, the Water realm nothing but water, etc. Each realm was filled with Elementals of varying strengths- Phoenixes were powerful Fire elementals, for example. However, when he, the main character, finds himself with a proficiency of over 2,000 in Dark Magic, and with a proficiency of nearly 1,200 in every Element, he finds that Elementals are being drawn to him- and they each want to be bound, permanently, to him. Among the first to force his hand and become bound to his soul is the Dark Lady, the Queen of Succubi, having captured the main character the moment he stepped into the Dark Dimension. While one's respective dimensions can be used for transportation- opening portals into one's dimension, traveling a distance atop a bonded or tamed elemental, and then leaving- you can also receive some very scary attention. In this case, your character, the Dark Lady, the ruler of Succubi, has managed to capture this all-powerful main character shortly after he enters the Dark Dimension for the first time, before even Lucifer, Lord of Lies, or Cerberus, The Hell Hound, can get to the main character. And now the main character has to deal with a Succubi, who is trying [i]very[/i] dearly to bond with her dear powerful elementalist.[/hider][hider=Alchemist's Revenge (MxF)] Why, the main character, a demigod, world-renowned alchemist, summoner, and forger- a blacksmith dealing with magical objects- is the only man, or half-man, alive who knows how to create Objects of Power- an outcome of a forger's work that creates a permanent and powerful enchantment- and the only key to immortality- a potion made from rare ingredients, with its recipe a secret. This Demigod grew up centuries ago, training as a dimensional mage- and after dabbling and experimenting in alchemy, stumbled across the recipe for immortality! Some century later, this twenty-something near-immortal magician finally found the key to making the lost art of Objects of Power, being able to create weapons of legendary strength, or items with immense utility and infinite use. The enchantment never wears off, the item never breaks- a true legendary object of myth and legend. And after the centuries, the demigod too has fallen into legend. Until he resurfaces, and all the Allied Lands, the some two-dozen kingdoms of great size, strength, and wealth, all want the secrets this man knew. Which is why the demigod, my character, woke up in the morning in his Keep, a seemingly-small two-story tower with a dozen floors and hundreds of rooms inside, with an assassin frozen by his bedside, locked into a curse that he had set into the very flagstones of the Keep. And lucky too- this assassin had somehow stumbled through all his traps, curses, guards, beasts, and pets, any of which would've killed her, and instead landed on the powerful curse that enslaved one's mind, and forced their loyalty to the caster- the demigod. And so your character, formerly a legendary assassin in her own right, is now stuck in service of a very angry demigod, my character. [/hider][hider=RMC/ACT/ADV/FTS - The Deceit of an Elf, and the Care of a Ranger (MxF)] The main character knew how to use magic, and use a sword. He searched for ruins to explore, dungeons to plunder, villages to rally, monsters to slay, and maidens to save. Why, he was starting to make a name for himself! He had distinctive armor, skill, confidence! Even rode upon a horse, with a legendary sword on his hip and ancient magic at his fingertips. Until he began entering more hostile lands. Lands where dragons lorded over from distant mountains, lands where dwarves dug deep beneath, elves watched you from the forest, uruk-orcs raided each other and other creatures, and deadlier, darker beasts occasionally came out to play. He wanted to make even more of a name for himself, go and find those Lost Kingdoms, human strongholds fortified deep in the Wilderness. Until he came across a minotaur and its squad of uruk-orcs. He killed a few of them, even crippled the minotaur, before he found himself being overwhelmed. And then arrows struck his enemies, slaying them quickly and without remorse or miss- and out came an elf. Charging into battle, the gentle and loving elf-folk of the forest, only helping passing travelers when they truly required help. And then as he recovered, and the elf approached, an uruk-orc leapt up, having played dead, and struck the elf. Down she went, dazed and confused, even flashing both orc and Ranger at the same time! But not to worry, the man looking to make a name for himself slew the last uruk-orc, and found the elf gazing up at him, almost cowering, in a rather... compromising position. And instead of taking advantage of the elf's apparent weakness and fear of him, he gathered himself, picked the woman up, and found a spot to camp. He awoke in his sleep to the elf screaming at him because he hadn't raped her, hadn't given him the daughter she needed, and with quite a loud, hostile, angry demeanor, kicked him and ran off into the woods. He had tended to her before going to bed himself, of course- made sure she was safe, warm, her bruises layered slightly with healing ointment, that she was fed. And for the next few days, every time he came across a group of bandits, orcs, any sort of monster or hostile- any of them that got too close to him, too close to hurting him, fell with an arrow in them. It took over two weeks of wandering the Wilderness, mapping out the world, before he came across the same elf, small and rather petite, bleeding out and very nearly broken, having ranged too far ahead of him, and fallen prey to some greater beast. After slaying it, the man took the rude, loud-mouthed, deceitful elf, who had intended to save him only for her to service him, due to the elves' extremely low male population, and helped patch her back together. And after that, despite her anger, her sneering, her insults, and even the occasional jab, punch, or kick, the elf never left him. This can start at any point in time, of course- from first meeting the elf, trying to entice him into taking advantage of her, to finding her broken and nearly dead- for whatever you'd like. The main character would be skilled in spellswords, your character being skilled in archery and more rogue-like skills. The elves having extremely few males, and so trying to prey on humans to try and continue their species- until one elf messes with one human who is far more refined, and does nothing but take care of the elf... and the elf hates to fall for. Sort of the Ranger being a good guy, and the elf hating and loving that, reluctantly following while denying everything.[/hider][hider=RMC/ADV/MDR - The Djinn and the Scapegoat (MxF, FxF)] Why, it was nothing but a summoned creature! It didn't like having a form, it much preferred his home dimension where everything simply [i]was[/i], and there was no need for time or matter or space. All the spirits and entities there just existed, without form. But ever since the ancient magicians of Egypt had discovered the art of summoning, these spirits were never left alone. To the modern day- of which coursed an underworld of magic, of elementalists, summoners, supernatural creatures- magic still thrived in humanity. And even more so, summoners. They were the most powerful, calling in creatures of enormous utility and power. A magician was no match for a summoner and a couple djinni, after all. And it was a djinn. The oldest djinn, the first summoned, the most experienced, the most powerful. In the mortal world, he was known as Samarkand, and he didn't take kindly to being bound like a slave by those few who managed to discover its name to bind it. It had no gender- it was Samarkand, and it was the most powerful of djinn, because it was the smartest djinn. So when a summoner fucked up- damn straight, Samarkand whirled forth and slew him, destroyed him, absorbed him, before turning into the form of an Egyptian mau, its favorite, and fled the scene, knowing it was quite unable to un-summon himself. Other summoners felt his spirit breaking free, and chased after him. So the Egyptian mau ran far and wide, coming to a stop finally in an American city, before glancing about in the fading light for an opportunity. The summoners had spent the last year chasing him, after all- an escaped djinn, especially one as experienced, clever, old, and powerful as he, stronger than summoned creatures even two or three levels above his own. They had been closing in lately, getting closer, and he needed to blend in rather than just run! And that's when it saw her. She was perfect! Just some normal human being, pretty or cute, maybe. She was talking on those metal-glass things, communicating to someone somewhere else, appearing flustered, angry, sorrowful. And the real perfect part was that she was stepping out onto the street as some large vehicle came barreling down the road, too fast and too large to stop in time to save the poor girl. Not a moment later, the mau was falling through the air, shifting into a human who would be nothing but alluring, charming, intriguing to the woman, and swept her off her feet- literally, dashing forth and almost tackling the woman, saving her from the vehicle... and carrying her in the process. And so the djinn smiled at the woman, adopting a completely different persona, and asked how the weather was, as if the spirit hadn't saved her life- all the while, magicians silently, invisibly leaped from rooftop to rooftop, searching for the spirit that got away, not even thinking to look at the humans staring at each other. After all, the best disguise was never being alone... and being quite seductive was a great way to ensure someone on your arm. [/hider]
