If he runs out of magic while playing the song, then it ends then and there. If he's fighting, then he'll have to avoid attacks while playing, which will probably be hard, since his magical focus is on the playing and not defending himself.

As for immune to ice, im not sure. That'll just be a weakness for him i guess.
