[@rush99999] Jacoby would know that as long as the spell doesn’t make the bandit do a harmful act, it should work, but it also depends on their Wisdom (AKA how they do on their Wisdom Saving Throw).
Telling him to release the girl should work as it doesn’t really hurt him.
