I only call-in sick for work if bed-ridden (or tied to a bed, maybe [reaching a phone would be hard, though])...

However, if I cannot take my temprature within 1 hour of claiming sick (due to the thermometer breaking, or the batteries frying), my requests not to shovel snow for my nieghbor are denied.
