No. 1278886541 Physical Description: Five foot five inches in height and with a fine bone structure, Captain Maganza is lithe and graceful with an acute innate sense of kinaesthesia. She wears her silver-white hair (an obvious genetic modification) in proper military braids, as per regulations, and the paleness stands out against unlined skin the colour of dark mahogany. Her face is heart-shaped, with high cheekbones and a narrow, pointed chin, her eyes large and dark beneath spectacularly arching pale eyebrows. Svelte and trim, the Captain takes care to maintain herself in peak physical condition; she has a noted preference for swimming and high-gravity environment training. Hyper-dense musculature and other wetware enhancements ensure a more than acceptable level of physical strength and endurance for the Navy despite her slender build. Her nose has a slight but noticeable deviation to the left from the bridge down, the result of a teenage Academy brawl, which she has kept despite the ease of correction. Most of her other physical scars sustained in the Service to date have been erased with corrective surgery or compensated with cybernetic replacements. It is important to note that the Captain has several cybernetic augmentations notable beyond the norm even for a citizen of New Terra, presently comprising: 1.) Complete replacement eye w/tactical optics interface (right) 2.) Tactical optics interface eye (left) 3.) Neural lace (full integration, latest-generation Core hard and software, military-grade hardening applied) 4.) Myofibre rebraiding and mesh nano-reinforcement (full body muscular enhancement) 5.) Nanoweave segmental jacket-reinforcement (axial skeleton and skullcase only) 6.) Secondary filtration (modified Roth splenograft and hyperexpansion of splenic arteries and veins performed; no rejection. Staff Officer’s Note: For details, see Service Jacket, UNSF Warspite, Incident CF33107-X) Personality Quiz: https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test https://www.16personalities.com/entj-personality Describe in 600 words or less what makes you qualified for the requested position: I have served aboard several UNSF vessels in a command capacity (Staff Officer’s Note: UNSF Tevura [Battleship, current command], UNSF Warspite [Heavy Cruiser], UNSF Carillon [Frigate], service jacket to date available from the Bureau of Personnel) and further as staff officer to Admiral Beaufort at Home Fleet, serving aboard UNSF Terra Nova (Staff Officer’s Note: Battleship, Home Fleet Flag). In exercising independent command I have had to use skill and judgement – military and diplomatic - against both superior enemy forces (Staff Officer’s Note: highlights of service include Incident CF32101-A, Battle of Matapan, awarded Morningstar Cross, Incident CF37791-P, Battle of the Reach, awarded Conspicuous Gallantry Medal, Incident CF11892-L, Operation Safeguard, awarded Distinguished Flying Cross, Incident CF13992-X, Operation Meerkat, awarded Bar for Distinguished Flying Cross) and in the resolution of complex incidents both natural and man-made amongst the twenty member colonies of the Union of Nation-States. I feel my experiences in handling Union vessels in anti-piracy operations (Staff Officer’s Note: Operations Safeguard and Meerkat) both in space and providing support for ground operations will stand me in good stead. Independent command has also given me experience in managing disparate groups of people drawn from all across the Union and devoting them towards a common goal, building the necessary esprit de corps that allows ships and crews to perform consistently above expectations, even in crisis scenarios. I feel this will only be more necessary with the Apollyon, owing to its multiplanetary crew makeup and its long-range intended role. The ship will have a crew of the brightest and best, but I recognize that brilliance and amity do not always go hand in hand and a deft hand will be required to encourage the crew to achieve the very best they are capable of giving. As staff officer to Adm. Beaufort I also gained experience of large-scale coordination and management of both fleet actions and ship operations. Given that the likely duties of the UNSF Apollyon will involve long periods beyond easy reach of the Admiralty and Union space, coupled with the likelihood of interaction with other states and species, my experience in managing the differing agendas of the twenty colonies’ agencies to a harmonious resolution will be invaluable in keeping the UNSF Apollyon true to her mission and to the ideals of the Union.
