I enlisted 6 years ago, not sure what I wanted to do and in fact, I was ready to do just about anything. I started out as infantry, but my superiors saw a greater potential in me: maybe it was because of my leadership, field initiative, or my creativity in high-stress situations, as you will surely read in my letter of recommendation. One's thing for sure, medals do speak for themselves. Maxine attached copies of various commendation medals she has earned out on deployment ranging from bravery to tactical exploits. After six months on the front lines, I was given an opportunity to switch to the armored division and jumped into a mech for the first time, the rest was history. Though I didn't pilot right away, I went through extensive training which included 600 hours of piloting, many more hours of simulation, and various classes on mech engineering which thought me how to repair or perform certain upgrades to any Mech's body or circuitry. As part of my infantry training, I've been through basic to advanced hand-to-hand combat techniques. Weapons, other than what you wouldn't find on a Mech such as rifles are also one of my area of expertise. Everything else is pretty standard, such as first-aid knowledge and the like. I lived, breathed, and sometimes even ate in Mechs for the past 5 and a half years and I am looking forward to continuing this service for as long as I can. If you chose me to serve in the naval fleet, I promise to defend the Union and my fellow soldiers with professionalism, bravery, loyalty, all with a smile and a good sense of humor.
