What I’m saying, punk, is that you don’t want me to remember ya face, because, and this is the best case, you might get away scot free, you might even avoid me for the rest of ya life, but your great-great grandson might not be so lucky” Physical Description Phil is built a little bit like a tree stump, he stands at an average-slightly below average height and has a thick neck and limbs. His hair, below his hat, is a blackish grey and his eyes a muddy brown, his body is covered in bruises and scars, and (although his picture might say otherwise) usually has either a sandwich or a smoke in his hand. He leans and walks with a slight favoring of his right side, as his left arm was recently replaced with a cybernetic one, and he both doesn’t quite trust it and isn’t quite used to it yet. Psyche Serving and protecting is what Phil does, it’s what he knows, and it’s what’s in his blood. Though how much of it is to maintain the family honor, and how much of it is to do the right thing, that’s anybody’s guess. Phil is inherently wary of anybody with “augs”, even himself. He’s seen what can happen when a good person loses their mind. Phil doesn’t like using his gun anymore, he never really did, but now he only uses it as absolutly necessary. Deep down, Phil’s got a good heart; he likes the simple things in life, a long drag and a stiff drink with good friends after a hard days work, the feel of cracking a hard case, the sound of the bell that begins a fight, and his son’s laughter. Motivation Phil was on leave when he heard that a new Special Unit was being formed and wanted on it, a lot of it was that he just wanted to start working again, but, after what happened to his old partner, he wasn’t sure he could, or even wanted to, go back to his old precinct anyway, what he did know was that he needed a new start. Besides, this Unit’s precinct is closer to home and frankly, the sandwich place around the corner has better pricing than the last one. Relations Phil’s Son - Amier Phil’s Wife - Anna Various Other Cops, (Family Friends, Old Buddies, etc) Various Others (Old friends from school, connections, etc) Personal History Phil is the Son of a cop, the son of a cop, the son of a soldier. He grew up in Detroit, not very far away from where he father was stationed, and only a few precincts over from where the unit is assigned. All his life he looked up to his dad, and wanted to become just like him, but when the Police became privatized, Phil’s dad was let go. His pension covered the family for awhile before Phil could join the force, but not working changed Phil’s dad, he became drunker more often, colder, one night, worse than normal, Phil’s dad came at Phil with his belt, and Phil took it. But then the monster headed for Phil’s Mom. That’s when it began for Phil; beaten, bruised, and bloody Phil, a teenager at the time, stood between his parents, set his jaw, and looked into his father’s blurry, cold eyes, and said “No.”, enraging his father and causing Phil to take the belt again and again, until eventually Phil’s Dad fell down drunk. Phil’s dad never got that bad again, and a few years later he died. But it was at that moment that Phil really knew what he was going to do with his life, he was going to Serve and Protect. Years passed, Phil rose through the ranks, he was a good cop, becoming a detective and eventually getting his own partner and marrying her sister. The family as a whole became very close, and Detroit even seemed to be eeking out it’s own version of peace, all was good. Then suddenly, it wasn’t. The riots, the rapes, the murders, they all seemed to be coming in too fast to deal with. But Phil’s partner never wavered, and the “aug” in her brain seemed to be able to deal with the stress, almost better than the ones in her arms and legs, that helped Phil, it helped a lot. Then, one day, She snapped. While running down a particularly disgusting perp, something. Just snapped in Phil’s Partner’s brain, she drew her gun and began shooting into a crowd, At first it was just shots in the air, causing the crowd to turn riotous and make their lives harder, but then it was directed at the perp, and it suddenly didn’t matter who was in her way as long as she caught this guy. So she lined up her semi-auto, and Phil, making a split second decision, took his shot. It was enough to slow her down and get her attention, but not enough to stop her, no, that didn’t happen until after Phil had left his arm, and emptied six more bullets. After that Phil was given some “Administrative Leave”, for which he was grateful, but after what felt like a long time of dishes, spending time with his family, and enjoying life. He’s ready to get back to work. Phil doesn’t know if he’ll ever be the same, physically or mentally, but he know’s that It’s time. So he asked his Captain to recommend him for this Unit, and the rest, is history. Equipment Grandad’s Stun Baton, not technically standard issue anymore, but Phil likes the way it feels in his hand, and trusts it more than his pistol right now. Standard issue pistol (seen in pic) Cybernetic Left Arm: Capable of dealing some serious melee damage, more or less indestructible, also capable of delivering an electric charge. Body Armor - Resistant to Kinetic and Non-Kinetic (Laser’s, etc) damage (seen in pic) Hat - Stylish
