Wanted to run a mecha rpg that drew a lot of inspiration from the X-Wing series of books, in that the players would be pilots, but also skilled as a ground team to accomplish missions their machines could not do alone. Suffice to say it is expected that they won't be the top of the class in either, but flexibility is the goal. So being a sniper, cqc specialist, a hacker, a medic or something else useful on the commando end would be required of the character The mechs themselves. Should be something like 20-30 feet tall. They are relatively new to the world and as such the common ones will not be very advanced. Flight is very rare, very limited energy weapon use, transforming being basically unheard of, etc. That said. The first thing that the team will be doing is infiltrating an enemy research facility and stealing some high tech mechs that break all conventions. Don't get too attached though as your machines may not always be the best way to tackle a job or maybe you'll spend an extended period of time posing as pirates or something. I am okay with running this in space or on earth and am willing to run the underlying politics of it all as simple, good guys, bad guys and neutral parties, or complex with a bunch of different ideologies running around. By all means ask questions and give opinions. Not terribly much is set in stone at this point.
