[center]Danny watched the last of his attackers, at least from this group, fall to the ground, dead after Danny had stabbed his foe in the gut with a sword he got from a fallen knight. After the knight had hit the ground, Danny found himself hitting the ground as well, unable to stand up due to how weak he was from exhaustion and his wounds. The scent of his own blood, a scent that he knew too well for his liking, hit his nose.

[color=blue]"After all these failed attempts, why can't the king just leave me to live my life in peace? What could I have possibility done, before the first attack, that made him so angry with me?" [/color] Danny thought to himself as he laid there, on the forest floor.

His wolf companion, whom he had named Aniu, turned towards him and started heading to him. She had sensed his weakness, due the mental link a hybrid and his or her companion animal shared. The link caused one to feel the emotions of the other as if the emotions were just felt by one, and not two sharing the emotions or emotion. 

Aniu let out a whine as she laid down next to Danny. She kept her ice-blue eyes on him, watching him to make sure that he was okay. From the mental connection, Aniu knew that Danny was confused and wondering about something. She felt the confusion too.[/center]
