Ever since Joe was a kid he had always had a very loyal mentality. For the Homie there is nothing he won’t do, from giving a place to sleep all the way up to jumping the man who did you wrong. He has nothing but love for those he calls a friend, be his enemy and you are a world of hurt. 
 On first impressions Joe is a tough guy who seems more at home working as a mechanic or as a bouncer in some seedy bar, rather then in a college class room. While that may be true Joe is in fact very smart, as he made the honor roll and attended advanced placement classes in high school. Having said that Joe prefers to blend in with the other students not to stand out.
 Continuously Joe has been called friendly as he knows many of his classmates and genuinely cares how they are doing that day.While he enjoys being with people, very few actually know anything about his personal life as he prefers to change the subject or avoids it in general

Joseph Allen was born to an Italian American family in Oakland California. Being the Eldest child of a busy mother and a deadbeat dad, Joe had to grow up quickly for his mother and siblings. He was always the first line of defense for when his father came home from the bar. 
 The Allen's were the stereotypical ghetto family. Every police officer in town knew the Allen's on a first name basis. Marco the drunk and drug addict, often dragged home from a week long bender, his saint of a wife Diana. Along with the parents the police knew the kids as well. The three girls, an idiot and the smart ass.
  With the absence of their father Joe had to take on the role of father for his siblings. Everyday Joe had to wake up his siblings, fix them breakfast grab the lunchs he made the night before and walk them to school. After which he would go to school. His life revolved around his family and he had very little in terms of a personal life other then the occasional date and his best friend Elena.
