He's also... kind of fat. Like, not morbidly obese, but fat enough for him to have gotten pretty badly bullied in his younger years. It's also enough to hide what would have otherwise been an impressive set of muscles, but is now only just visible in his arms.

[sub]
[sup][sub]-[/sub][/sup]✶ IN DEPTH ✶
[/sub]

[sub][sub]
personality
[/sub][/sub]
Adrien is a very soft-spoken young man, who finds it very difficult to believe in himself. He will rarely get angry, instead just feeling sad. Even when talking to people he's close to, he will seem oddly humble because of his confidence issues. That being said, he is often smiling, or at the very least trying to. He tries his best to be friendly, despite his fears.
[sub][sub]
superpower
[/sub][/sub]
Healing Adrien has the power to heal both himself and other people. This works by speeding up the natural cell processes, causing them to multiply at an astronomically higher speed than usual. However, this is quite difficult, and if the cells are manipulated in the wrong way, it can cause tumours, or even worse forms of internal damage. Therefore, extreme caution is necessary. In addition, the task of speeding up the cell processes takes a massive amount of energy, often exhausting him to the edge of collapse after multiple uses. He can consume calorie rich food to 'recharge', although this is just a short term solution, and he will need to rest if he wants to truly regain his energy. Muscular Reinforcement Using an altered version of the cellular manipulation he uses for healing, he can strengthen his muscles. This leads to greatly enhanced strength. However, it also has a nasty tendency to crack, it even crush his bones between those muscles if he doesn't handle it properly, which is almost always the case at this stage. It also turns the skin around the reinforced muscles red.
[sub][sub]
backstory
[/sub][/sub]
Adrien has lived in New York City all his life, where his parents owned a bakery. Back during his childhood, he was a little more friendly. Still shy, but friendly. However, he was always fairly fat, and this unfortunately led to a decent amount of rather brutal bullying. Ever since that started, any confidence he may have had took a complete downturn, causing an even worse shyness than before. That was his life for the next twelve years, living as the fat kid who wouldn't defend himself. The easy target. On the outside, he still kept up appearances, wearing his mild mannered smile out of fear that, if he showed his true feelings, it would make his parents worried, or worse, angry. Confrontation is something he prefers to avoid, and if they knew the extent of his bullying, they would go in the warpath. Still, beneath the surface, Adrien wished beyond anything else that something would come along to end the bullying. And then the Barracuda Virus came, and he became terrified that, somehow, it was his fault. That perhaps something horrible beyond his understanding had answered his pleas. After all, a lot of his worst bullies ended up dying to the virus. Then again, so were his parents. And so was he. His parents death struck him even harder than his misguided guilt did. Things only alleviated slightly when he too contracted the virus, and he realised that it wasn't something he caused. It was a disease. It was indiscriminate. It had no thought, no consciousness. He did nothing. As it turns out, the doctors told him that it was likely delirium from the early stages of the virus that led him to his original beliefs in the first place. Slowly, as he recovered from his disease, he also came back from his mental breakdown, becoming just that little bit stronger. Now he lives with his grandmother, unfortunately having to sell the bakery. However, he wishes to buy it back and run it himself.
