On bad days, he still looks pretty good. Self-positivity and all that jazz. Coach is a tall individual, standing at 6'2" with a fairly obvious and well toned build, exceptional for doing long and grueling work outs to stay fit for baseball. Well, to stay fit, in general. He's pretty much what people would expect for a fraternity bro, which he isn't ashamed to admit. He's got white, clear skin, and the kind of stereotypical hair for a college student of his status. Though, his eyes are very chocolate brown with flecks of green in them and his teeth are almost impeccable aside from a stubborn canine that's been pushed forward due to his top left wisdom tooth. Coach walks normally when not under stress, but when put through the ringer, a limp can become very obvious due to an improperly healed kneecap. It means he can't quite work out for as long as he usually did, nor can he run too fast or too long. It's something he lives with and something he doesn't let get him down. Though, he has put a hamper on his muscle tone, but he's sensitive about that, so hush. He speaks with an airy baritone that denotes his often relaxed and lackadaisical way of moving.
𝗅𝗂𝗄𝖾𝗌 & 𝖽𝗂𝗌𝗅𝗂𝗄𝖾𝗌 ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔✶
✓ Any and all sports (fav: Baseball) ✓ Brisk Autumn jogs ✓ The smell of chamomile ✓ Ice baths/cold showers ✓ Chill Time ✓ Likes giving deep body massages ✓ He's a dog lover (but cats are cool, too) ✓ Competition ✗ Yelling ✗ Repeating Himself ✗ Rain ✗ Losing ✗ Not pushing himself hard enough ✗ Cheaters ✗ Bad sportmanship
𝗁𝖺𝖻𝗂𝗍𝗌 & 𝗁𝗈𝖻𝖻𝗂𝖾𝗌 ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔✶
✂ When under stress, he sings a refrain from Gwen Stefani's Hollaback Girl under his breath. A person's person. Someone who can relate and associate. Most importantly, Coach is a social creature with a love for supporting those under him and those around him. If someone needs a guy to paint their entire body and scream on the sidelines, Coach will go that extra mile and paint names across the chests of willing and unwilling subordinates. He'll be there for you, even if he's never quite there for himself. Coach has a hard time with introspection. Most of the time, he'll convince people that their concerns, fears, and worries are his. He'll spend too much time helping others, that he stops caring about helping himself. A classic tale of a man who thinks his problems are mole hills compared to the mountains other people have to carry. In doing so, he cracks under his own stress and pressure, often forgetting that he can ask for help, too. Other than the deep and cumbersome pressure of his own issues, Coach is a fantastic friend. He's the type of individual who likes to hang, to socialize, and to party with those he deems his close friends. To him, everyone's a close friend. Of course, being in a competitive environment all of his life, Coach has issues with taking competition too far. He goes to great lengths to make sure his team wins and in an environment that has no actual rules (aside from the law), Coach can take things to a dire level. He wants to win and he'll trample anyone over to get that win. Most of the time. He'll apologize afterwards, probably after he's done gloating.
𝗁𝗂𝗌𝗍𝗈𝗋𝗒 ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔✶
All-American Family, U.S.A. Coach has had an easy life and an easy time growing up. With his parents owning a large firm in Memphis and working primarily for big-time companies, they've never wanted for anything. Their big plantation house with their full staff of hired workers meant Coach had a relaxed living, with people caring for him here and there. He was provided for and allowed to maintain a child like wonder of the world while growing up. All the work he's had to do was in school and, more importantly, in sports. Growing up, Coach found his passion for baseball at an early age and further cultivated his talent right into college. Losing wasn't a concept Coach was familiar with, finding himself the crutch of the team, he took everyone on his back and carried them to victory. Well, when he was in his element. Coach had a talent for baseball and other sports he found himself more of a supportive player than an all-star. It's likely why he found himself in a coaching position now and why he adopted the nickname Coach early. Where his actual coaches slacked, Coach picked up on. He had as much vim and vigor to ignite his entire roster of teammates — he was the heart of his teams, even if he didn't play exceptionally well himself. Perhaps it's just a childhood fancy, but Coach found his passion early in life and he's always felt the need to pursue that. He wants it, deeply, and with all of his heart. Yet, his parents have other plans for him. And, while they aren't necessarily monsters like in fairy tale books, they have their own ways of worrying for him. If that means dashing his dreams so that he can actually live off his work instead of living paycheck to paycheck, well... his parents do like to play dirty. Which is exactly the reason why he's playing dirty himself. Penbrooke was a place his father went, and his father before him, and so on. Naturally, it's where Coach found himself and, even more naturally, it's where he found Phi Kappa Delta. His father was something of a legend, or at least that's what he says. It's not really something Coach here's a lot through the halls of his fraternity, nor is it something he wants to here. He doesn't fancy living in a shadow. Upon hitting his Sophomore year, Coach found himself in just a few predicaments: he needed to join Phi Kappa Delta, which he did, he needed join at a very inopportune time, and he injured himself during their little hazing ordeal. Hazing's an outdated concept and he already pledged the money, so he really didn't need to bother. Unfortunately, he liked making people happy and in doing so he made himself incapable of playing that season and then consecutive seasons he found himself benched over and over again. His injury never did fully heal and he felt slower and less reactive than he was before. He never faced his issues, instead he decided he'd help coach his teammates, help them practice, make sure they were primed and ready for the season. He couldn't actually coach a team, but he could help them practice and train off the field. Plus, he's had recent duties lately that would keep him from being able to dedicate that much time to actually playing.
[sup]FC: Daniel Bederov Color: #44a28b[/sup]
[@Hushed Whispers] [@Apokalipse] He's a president boi And done!
