The man watching the ad on his device yelped as he was rudely interrupted. Seriously, who just does something like that other than... oh...

"Oy', it's time t'make our rounds boyo, so don't y'even think 'bout skipin'm."

The man sighed as he looked up at the senior officer and nodded. Like hell he was going to use this as an excuse to watch some ad over and over. Snatching up his device, he promptly pocketed it before grabbing his FAMAS, his eyes glazed over as he began loading the gun up with ki-laced bullets - a specialty of their organization.

As he trudged on out with the other soldiers, he and his squad acknowledged the others they were switching with a salute before heading off outside. "Two weeks ago, huh?"

Even though the field agents handled the situation well, there was still something bothering him about what occurred in Rio—why did those robots strike? The lack of any answers just left him with more questions that piled up each day, leaving him more frustrated than anything...

... but as paramount as these questions were, they were dismissed by the soldier once the squad was greeted by a bit of drizzle, light raindrops, and a semi-darkened sky.

Weird... Japan's forecast didn't say that there was a risk of rain today.

Welcome to World Warriors: The Nomadic Fist. This RP takes place in a quirky, anime-and-fighting-games-themed world (think of shows like One Punch Man, or games similar to Darkstalkers) where supernatural warriors known as "Nomads" head out and engage in supernatural battles.  Fueled by ki, magic, or technology, they journey the world, and, for whatever reason, they seek out fights.

This won’t quite be a PVP roleplay, and is more story and character driven, with your characters fighting NPCs and a variety of sinister plots (with player fights for special occasions).  The world is very, very free-form; lore is loose (basically amounting to everything just described in that first paragraph), and you’re free to create almost any kind of character or backstory you please.

So what do you all say? Are you all itching for a fight for the ages or a bizarre adventure? Well, your story begins here!

Ki, at its simplest, can be thought of as life energy, invisible, preternatural, and primordial. It has gone by many names, and it empowers and imbues all living things. Everyone has some amount of ki inside them, and ki gives them the strength to grow and live.  Most people have a ‘normal’ amount of ki, and display no abnormal abilities.

While some people are born with a small amount of ki, while others are born with massive amounts. It depends on their ancestry, as someone's great ancestors can pass on their ki throughout the generations (They have to be dead for this to occur, however). The further they get away from their ancestors, the less ki they can be gifted with. However, long as a warrior trains, they never have to worry about their descendants running out of a natural supply of ki. However, if one descends from a magical being of some kind, then they will always have a naturally large amount of ki.

These beings are capable of superhuman feats, ranging from speed, to strength, to durability, to agility, resilience. All of these feats increase alongside a person’s ki reserves and can occasionally open the way to unusual powers. Many modern hospitals, for example, often have a ki specialist who can treat illnesses that affect life energy, or use their own ki reserves to heal injuries. However, the average joe will most likely know about ki in the context of nomads.

The nomad has become a staple of global pop culture in the last century or so.  he name 'nomad' refers to a wandering warrior with fantastical powers, a vagabond who, for one reason or another, travels the world seeking new fights and new challenges. They have epic showdowns, they participate in international martial arts tournaments, and they are features in movies, TV shows, and airport paperbacks. On Earth, there are superheroes, and supersoldiers, and ki-wielding doctors, but none of them have quite captured the public eye (or been as heavily commercialized) as the nomad. 

By nature of their ki, your average nomad or nomad-level person can punch through walls, deflect most bullets like paper spitballs, and is shrouded by a subtle shield of life energy that makes them difficult to damage by conventional means. Of course, as with all things, if you hit them enough times with enough force, or enough ki, these defenses eventually break. Keep in mind that your character doesn’t have to be a ‘proper’ nomad, or even have to rely on ki, as magic and technology can allow even otherwise normal humans to tangle with ki-powered superhumans.

Ki can be increased several ways. For most, meditation is one of the most basic—if unrewarding—ways to build ki, and this life energy, whether it’s called ‘ki’ or otherwise, often figures into a variety of religions. Disciplined physical training that unites the mind and the body is another way to increase ki. Because of the lasting impression of the nomad on pop culture, most people will associate ki with physical training, especially martial arts. Indeed, martial arts is probably the most effective and straightforward way to build ki.

Beyond the across-the-board stat boost that high ki reserves grant, ki manipulation opens the way to a variety of abilities. Most use ki to emphasize specific attributes, like speed or strength.  Others learn to manipulate their ki and focus it into specific forms. Ki can be transferred to allies to boost strength and stamina, and the more talented ki manipulators can even use it to heal. Ki can also be forced to take physical form, usually manifesting as a specific element that reflects the wielder’s personality and temperament, or to manipulate elements in the immediate vicinity. A person isn’t strictly confined to one element, of course, but will generally find it difficult to go outside their natural comfort zone. A person whose ki can manipulate rocks might find conjuring wind to be extremely challenging, for example.

Others might forgo these versatile abilities, and focus on the overwhelmingly difficult technique of manifesting ki in its pure, unconverted state, which often makes for the strongest shields and the most armor-piercing attacks.

One of the last well-known ki abilities is the power to sense life energy, and depending on practice and ability can detect increasingly specific details about power level and mood at increasingly great distances.  The average nomad who has chosen to learn the sensing technique can gauge the general concentration of ki in the immediate vicinity, and notice people like nomads with unusually high ki-reserves.

Magic is a rarely seen and often poorly understood art, the biggest misconception being that 'magic' is what Mythics use while ki is what humans use. While this is incorrect as humans and mythics both utilize ki, true magic did originate from Mythic society, where it is commonly referred to by Mythic practitioners as "Mana".

In a general sense, if ki functions by drawing on the inner energy of the user, magic is exactly the opposite and draws on an external source to generate power. Most commonly this takes the form of a magical weapon such as your classic spellbooks and wands, or a Mythic bloodline having an innate ability to channel magic. Otherwise, magic can function similarly to ki in many regards, from boosting physical abilities to channeling and using unique powers and abilities. Much like how ki being honed through physical training, magic can also be honed through scholarly study and practice, making it an attractive option for many Nomads.

■ Humans
Humans are the dominant species in this world and make up the majority of the population as well as a healthy portion of the nomads. Renowned for their mastery of ki throughout the centuries, what sets human apart from older races with seemingly more powerful ki is sheer versatility. Humans possess hundreds of fighting styles both new and old to channel their ki, some even choosing to fight with the aid of advanced technology, arcane artistry, or whatever else works for them.

■ Machines
Obviously a newer entry into the Nomadic world, Machines cover any artificially created or augmented being forged through the incredible power of science. Ranging from cyborgs to androids to sentient drones, machines forgo ki in favor of advanced technology to give them an edge in any fight. For that reason machines rarely use ki themselves, though some partially Machine beings like cyborgs can still use it, so long as part of them is living enough to draw life force from.

■ Mythics
The catch-all term for non-human beings of magical origin. The Moniker Mythic covers a wide variety of creatures, including creations of myth such as centaurs and ice giants, creatures of the divine such as angels and demons, and even folkloric monsters such as your classic werewolves and vampires. Most mythical creatures have an innate connection to ki and are able to channel it on a level similar to humans, while some Mythics possess more powerful ki but lack the flexibility of use that humans enjoy. Because of events long past, Mythics are a largely uncommon sight in the world, though there are several Mythics or humans with Mythic bloodlines that choose to become nomads.

An elite peacekeeping task force founded in 1950 and managed by the United Nations, MAVERICK trains its soldiers specifically to combat superbeings like nomads and to handle situations that standard emergency personal could not.  They wield advanced technology like anti-magic riot shields, ki-piercing bullets, and other such tricks and toys.  These are the soldiers dispatched to keep the powerful from abusing their gifts, and, according to their charter, can only be involved when the superhuman is involved, and have the primary directive of civilian protection.

Despite this, MAVERICK has been the tool of influential dictators and underhanded international politics in the past, and such as its infamous 1975 suppression of anti-junta rebels in Argentina.  In the current, modern day, after several decades of internal investigation and reform, they are seen in a more-or-less positive light, though mistrust and conspiracy theories still haunt the organization.

MAVERICK does not, in fact, actually stand for anything, as it was quickly realized that no one really cared what these acronyms stood for as long as they spelled something reasonably compelling.  A common in-joke at the MAVERICK offices is brainstorming actual names to go with the acronym.

A highly influential robotics and weapons development company, run by the wealthy and powerful Auden Rose.  Their drone technology is especially advanced, sold to many militaries worldwide, primarily the United States.  The company claims its work lies in self-defense and protective services; others label them a merchant of death.

The drones used in the attack on the Brazilian Open were all Domovoi Mechanica, and, while only conspiracy theorists believe Auden and DMI would use their own technology (complete with Domovoi Mechanica logos) on a terrorist attack with no clear benefit to DMI, the incident has caused serious doubt towards the safety and reliability of the company and its product.  Some say subpar programming allowed the drones to be hacked, others that poor security allowed them to be stolen.  Governments are especially worried that Domovoi Mechanica is selling under the table to terrorist groups, though Auden vehemently denies this, and so early in the investigation, no concrete information has emerged on how exactly a warehouse full of powerful attack droids ended up assaulting Rio de Janeiro.

The House Miyamoto is an old and prestigious group that has had their hands in many fields, ranging from technological advancement and medicine, and have met with nothing more than success. This has allowed them to accumulate a wealth of resources and renown over the past years and their charity work has helped maintained their positive appearance. However, despite all this, the biggest thing they are known for marketing nomad and ki-training to those around.

The service for their training services have been set at a high price, and for a good reason. Most martial artists and nomads that dominate tournaments have been known to have training from this organization, and many other company's often pay top dollar for nomads to act in their services.

Along with that, they have also been known to adopt orphans with high ki potential, giving them the ability to pursue any life given to them, whether it is being a nomad or going into a field in technology or medicine.

While Miyamoto is supposedly a surname, it more or less acts as a title, denoting that you are a part of the House. Moreover, most of the orphans here are known to have Miyamoto as their last name in most databases, regardless of whether or not they had a surname beforehand.

Sanctum is a global organization and secret society dedicated to the preservation of magic and the protection of the Mythic population. Rumored to be thousands of years old, Sanctum first emerged in 1951 in response to a MAVERICK raid on a Mythic population center in Greece and has since attracted both scorn and wild speculation for its actions on the world stage. Since then, outside of emerging to defend the rights of Mythic communities or respond to an incident involving Mythics or magical artifacts, Sanctum has been content to sit in quiet isolation, rarely interacting with even the most powerful humans or human-led organizations. 

What little is known about the organization, such as them being led by a mysterious Council of Elders or the fact that they are responsible for training most Mythics today in the art of ki, comes from their Agents, quasi-independent Mythics, many of whom have become nomads, sent into the world to interact on behalf of Sanctum to carry out some unstated goal or task. Everything else about Sanctum is a closely guarded secret though, even the location of their headquarters (though rumors abound that they are based out of the mythical city of Atlantis).

Horizon Frontiers is regarded as one of the best scientific foundations in the world, specializing in biotechnology & prosthetics at a level head and shoulders above any previous organization. But unbeknownst to the public, the company moves far beyond just the limits of technology: It goes beyond the limits of morality. Deep in the bowels of their operations, Horizon Frontiers has made dozens of amalgamations of flesh and technology, known as Symbiotes, and then testing their capabilities by pitting them against other Nomads & leasing them to mercenary groups, in hopes of creating the ultimate lifeform.  In recent years, Horizon Frontiers has even begun to study ki.

Founded decades ago following the death of (in)famous Nomad superhero Ryuji Raiden, SHINING is a corporation interested protecting the Earth… as well as their profits. Most famous for their wildly successful Justice Riders franchise, the organization has the uncanny ability to sniff out Nomad talent, get them under a contract, train and equip them, and make them into a brand, complete with everything from TV shows to toy lines.

Though based in Japan, SHINING operates across the world, with many governments paying the organization to deal with superpowered threats in a more... PR-friendly fashion. Though the flashy, marketing-focused way they conduct themselves has earned them significant criticism, SHINING remains the ideal place for the charismatic, photogenic superhero willing to sign on for a few advertising deals.

Notoriously bureaucratic, grossly overbloated, mildly corrupt, and absolutely rolling in cash, the WMAF manages some of the biggest and most viewed martial arts tournaments in the world.  They have had a hand in lifting many well-known and beloved nomads to international fame, and their own share of scandals, from the rigging of the 1999 Warsaw Grand Prix, to the 2005 bribery scandal, to the infamous pee tape leaked in 2012.  They also sponsor ki-training schools, though the quality of those schools can vary drastically.

The NomadicNation is website backed by myriads of sponsors and organizations such as MAVERICK, The House Miyamoto, The World Martial Arts Federation, and so on. The NomadicNation is a compilation of data over most Nomads known to man, machine, and mystic, acting as a tool for most regular people to look up thinks about their favorite nomad and buy some merchandise that is sold by certain organizations. For organizations, they either advertise for a tournament or sell merchandise to different people.

However, there is a much more informative side to the website, with an example of it also acting as bounty board for some of the worlds most wanted... who are mainly nomads. There's a top ten most wanted nomads board always at the side to see who the big contenders are for getting the most bang for your buck. Another is posting jobs that can only be handled by nomads. Some jobs are much more upfront with nomads whilst the more secretive jobs are, well, not upfront. The list of jobs will constantly fluctuate each day, sometimes completing before you even get to the other side of the globe. If you're down on your luck and need a job that pays as a nomad, it's best to go here.

The website also has an easy function to help determine your language, making it accessible to most, if not all ethnicity's.

▻ Clouded
A martial arts tournament is being held in Tokyo, with the grand prize money being 20,000,000 in yen. Despite the public turmoil and officials protesting it due to the very recent attack on a tournament in Rio, this event was hosted against most peoples wishes. Some Nomads are reluctant as well, not willing to risk wagering their lives... but for others, they are attracted like moths to a flame. In any case, MAVERICK has also been deployed to the tournament to watch over anything that may threaten the tournament. Surely nothing will happen like last time, right?

▻ Connections
In the Hokkaido prefecture of Japan, MAVERICK agents have been stationed out there due to reports of machines similar to those in Rio wandering the landscape. Out of fear or further investigations, they have been set to guard, but not to pursue or engage. Along with that, a job was placed under the NomadicNation by MAVERICK, detailing that they need assistance from Nomads to help smoke these wretches automatons out, and that they would handsomely pay anyone who would respond. However, the problem might be a lot more complex than it might seem at first.

⋗ 1 . 1 | Remember that everybody is here to have fun above all else. We may throw a few flowery jabs at each other, but remember it's all in good fun. The Golden rule is: don't be a dick.

⋗ 1 . 2 | That said, remember that I have the full right to deny anyone access to the RP, and I will remove anyone from the RP should they get too unruly. I hope it doesn't come to that, but I'm just putting that out there.

⋗ 1 . 3 | I (And any Co-GMs I may elect) have the final say in all matters - we aren't tyrants, but if I put my foot down, that's the end of it. Please make any edits to your character sheet/posts/etc that you were requested to. If you're too unruly, I'll have no choice but to enact 1.2.

⋗ 1 . 4 | I enforce a policy of not informing people of every time they should post (unless their character is in the middle of interactions). If you go inactive without a peep, I'm not going to babysit you. It's a player's responsibility to keep up with the RP.

⋗ 1 . 5 | Please be respectful towards all other players.

⋗ 1 . 6 | Please do not post a "wip" sheet. I find it very irritating when someone posts an incomplete character sheet. If you want me to read over what you have so far, just PM it to me. If you need a place to work on it just private message the sheet to yourself (or write it on one of many platforms).

⋗ 1 . 7 | This RP will strictly be "first come, first serve." Meaning I will not reserve any powers/character roles/etc, and they will go to whoever finishes their character sheet first. If there's a conflict over it, I will decide the outcome.

⋗ 1 . 8 | Character applications will go into the OOC (where we can work things out) until they are accepted. In other words, the character tab is for accepted characters only. Also, do not "reserve" a spot in the Character Tab unless you were given permission to by me.

⋗ 1 . 9 | I am... somewhat thorough and critical when looking over character sheets (sometimes deferring to judgement from those I trust), and so are the rest of the co-gms. ⋗ 2 . 2 | Let me say now; the story will be pretty fast-paced at times (the way I enjoy them). If you don't think you can keep up with it, then I don't recommend joining. But, I will try not to leave people behind.

⋗ 2 . 3 | Adding onto the above, the story will be a little messy with a lot of different storylines running alongside each other - with lots of characters. If you don't think you can handle that, then I don't think you should join.

⋗ 2 . 4 | The Roleplay will have plenty of collaboration posts, as I think they are good for the pacing I desire. I heavily recommend you do collaboration posts for most of your interactions.

⋗ 2 . 5 | All I ask for is one post a week. If it's been a week since your last post, your character will be placed into the inactive section until they are written off. Once a character is inactive however, they are officially an NPC, and can be used freely by the GMs, or the players.

⋗ 2 . 6 | Despite being in the Advance section, I am not a stickler for post length. I'd rather have a meaningful paragraph, over a essay full of filler.

⋗ 2 . 7 | Character death is a real possibility. By submitting a character, you understand that they have to take responsibility for their actions. They will not be bailed out by me, and may get injured or die. I won't jeopardize the story for one character. They can also be killed by other characters. I won't go out of my way to kill off any character - that I like - but I may injure them for the sake of the story.

⋗ 2 . 8 | Romance/Sex/Whatever is allowed in the RP. "Fade to black" is so beaten into your heads by now that there's point in even repeating it.

⋗ 2 . 9 | To keep things a bit more organized, please say where your post is taking place at the start of your post.

⋗ 2 . 10 | While this RP is based upon anime, it's not an arena RP. It's mostly supposed to be a light-hearted RP in which people can use creative/fun ideas and have fun in a zany world. If you're one of those "play to win" dudes, go home.

⋗ 2 . 11 | As far as fights go, try to plan them out to the best of your ability so we don't make things too confusing, and don't have arguments over the outcome. Once again, this isn't a game.

⋗ 2 . 12 | If you're also expecting me to hold your hand every step of the way, then you're going to be disappointed. This is going to be an RP that rewards taking initiative, and starting plotlines of your own. I'll provide a storyline, but I'm not going to be railroading everyone.

⋗ 2 . 13 | As for the fights between characters, we'll be going for a very simple rule: whatever is more interesting for the story. That means, instead of trying to make your character the winner, you should decide what would be the most interesting story to write. What would make the most interesting character developments, etc. Wish I didn't have to overtly say it, but I feel it necessary.

⋗ 3 . 1 | When you make a character; I want some interesting and creative ideas. I'm not saying that everyone has to be the most unique thing on the planet, but don't just make your character bland. Think outside the box. There's all sorts of potential and possibilities for making new characters, don't be that one guy who just makes boring characters for the sake of being badass, be quirky for once.

⋗ 3 . 2 | If your goal is to basically make the strongest/best character, and try to "win" the Roleplay, let me stop you here and say you won't get far. This is a story, not a place for you to wank your OP self-insert. Nothing says "I'm a bad writer" to me than giving your character the strongest abilities (along with an asston of skills). While I try to be critical, other gms exist to point out problems that the other might of missed. If one of us dislikes something in your character sheet, we will not hesitate to voice it.

⋗ 3 . 3 | As for the lore... I left it mostly a blank slate for a reason. I designed it so that everyone has something to work, but are able to build up a lore with all the writers here. If you want to make up an event, organization, or etc, go ahead. I implore you.

⋗ 3 . 4 | There is no character limit, you can, and are encouraged, to make as many characters as you can handle. Just don't get stupid.

⋗ 3 . 5 |  Characters can use weapons, magic, guns, fists, anything. Anything goes in this RP.

⋗ 3 . 6 | You can make "evil" characters, or villains, you edgelord you.

⦋ Centuries Old  || Draco Sapius  || Male ⦌

APPEARANCE & PERSONALITY

APPEARANCE          
Calistrophus is a scaly draconian standing at a tall 6'1", which is around average height for his race. He has dark yellow skin and a light peach-tan underbelly, has golden yellow eyes, and displays large spiny brown horns curling from the back of his head. His white bushy facial hair stems from large eyebrows and has a long beard that spikes at the tip, with white mustache wisps descending from directly underneath his nostrils. He also sports black claw tips from his hands and feet, and has a muscular tail with small spikes running down it.

As a sage for his village, Calistrophus is usually seen donning a traditional religious robe. It's predominantly tan, with yellow stripes, and has a dark brown undergarment underneath. It also dons green shoulder pads with small knots running down it. Some of the flaps that flow down the robe are engraved in Draconian calligraphy, which basically mention several philosophical quotes from other philosophers and religious monks. The robe also has a belt that wraps around his mid-section, which holds several compartments to store small items such as books, potions, scrolls, and other misc. His sword, "Kurogica" ("Balance" in his language), is extremely long, nearly as tall as himself, with a black blade that's inscripted with draconian lettering that glows a different color depending on the element he utilizes it with. It looks and acts much like an armorslayer sword, although the tip can open and close upon the user's wishes.

BACKSTORY & MOTIVATION          
Calistrophus Draconius, or Callus for short, was born in an ancient underground draconian village deep within the remote northern mountains of China. This village had already existed for thousands of years, to the point where it's been rumored that they've seen the rise and fall of the first Chinese Dynasties. They never expanded into creating a larger civilization, knowing full well how the human race dominated the Earth. Only four other separate villages have ever been founded, with each not more than 10 miles away from one another. Further conflict with the humans will bring the Draconian tribes to ruin and so they hid within small villages far away from human activity. Yet they've rarely been seen by human outsiders, through occasional conflicts through sheer coincidence and luck. Only legends and rumors had been spread about the draconian people through the centuries, claiming that these lizard-like humanoids having access to magical supernatural powers.

And how right they were.

Callus was born into a line of sages, those who wield extreme amounts of magic and were lore keepers of the world. His family was the last of its kind. An average draconian can live up 200 years at most, living nearly double or even triple the lifespan of an average human being, in which many have seen a lot happen in their life time. He was born around the declining years of the Qing Dynasty, yet already did his parents have big plans for him. The local fortune teller of their village foretold of a time where they would become extinct, long forgotten as humans would expand and eventually find their village within the next few centuries. What would come next was unknown, yet knowing how the humans behaved, the fortune teller believed for the worst. 

Yet they wanted to pass their knowledge and legacy towards a single individual, one prophesied to keep their traditions alive through their magic. As long as their practices, their magic, and ultimately their ideals lived on, they would survive in memory within their followers for generations after the Draconians die. And so, blessed and destined for good will, Callus was entitled very early on as the "Great Sage of Draconianism". In order to prepare him for this role, Callus was not only taught by his parents, but was also sent to the finest teachers of the other villages to reinforce on their beliefs to him. Each presented him a different way to channel his key, with each village being able to manifest their own ki into an element. These elements were fire, water, earth, air, light, and darkness.

After decades of training and meditation with these teachers, by the age of 50, Callus was ready to officially don the prophecy's title and to carry the legacy of "Draconianism". On that day a major ceremony was held in Callus' honor, as everyone from the surrounding villages came to bless him on his journey, and gave him the legendary Sword Of Sages, or what they call "Kurogica", or "Balance" in Draconian tongue. He was to travel the world in search for additional guidance and to form a school to keep the spirit of "Draconianism" alive. Yet the sage must never again return to any of the villages, as they feared he could be secretly followed by nefarious humans wanting to cause them ruin and spread the word on their existence. And with that, Callus left the village of his birth, never to return, as a "nomad".

Through his travels, he has seen much at what the world had to offer. At first, he kept his identity rather secret and usually came into sparse towns or villages. He eventually made his home near the Himalayan Mountains in Tibet, where he sought to practice his arts once more before becoming comfortable in becoming a teacher. But of course, the humans were soon to catch that he was certainly not a man. They began nicknaming him as a "lizardman", and some were curious as to who he was. Eventually, Callus was discovered by Tibetan monks, who recognized his Ki powers and began to worship him. In fact, they became the first students under the Draconian and eventually Callus' school became a reality. As of now, he had been training disciples for nearly sixty years, and has became a local icon for Ki users who come to Tibet.

FIGHTING STYLE & ABILITIES

FIGHTING STYLE          
Calistrophus' fighting style is essentially a mix of several martial arts techniques. Hand-to-hand, he often utilizes a form that combines Taekwondo, aikido, and jujutsu, while uses primarily Kendo when wielding his sword, along with other sword-based training. When fighting weaponless, he can change stances accordingly depending on the opponent he faces. His long limbs, thanks to his height, already make it fairly easy to hit opponents from a distance, much like an "out-boxer" does in boxing. He's usually calm in combat, and is nearly on the defensive in most cases. He observes the movement his opponent uses and attempts to fight against that style in which he thinks is the best counter to that movement. He attempts to tire out his opponent or bring him to a point where they think they'll win, only to suddenly go on an all-out offensive just when they least expect it. In short, Calistrophus is primarily a defensive fighter, only going for a quick burst on the offensive when the opponent's guard is down.

The same can be said when wielding the sword, its range being more than capable of hitting someone from a good distance. However, Calistrophus uses the sword also as a tool, such as vaulting off from it, using it as a make-shift shield, and of course to utilize his ki into elemental forms which it can wield. 

There are six elements that are at his disposal. You have the four basic elements, fire, water, earth, and air, but also aether and void (which are essentially light and dark) which are used for ultimate attacks. Earth is Callus' primary element, yet fire, water, and air give him a different boost in buffs, but at the cost of lowering another buff. 

Fire boosts his attack power, but lowers his defense.
Water boosts his defense power, but lowers his movement speed on land (unless he's in a body of water in which it actually implies the opposite).
Air boosts his speed and agility, but lowers his attack power.
Earth is neutral, for it's easily accessible as long as their's actual ground, and balances out both attack, defense, and speed.
Wood and Metal are also essentially neutral, for they cannot be artificially created, but they can be manipulated from the environment defensively such as in creating walls and being used as projectiles. However, they can only be manipulated when using the Earth element.

Callus can switch elements through "Combat Meditation", where he communicates with the surrounding environment at hand. For example, if he's in a rainy environment or near a body of water, he can focus on that element and change into the water element. If he's in a hot and sunny environment, or near an area that produces a strong force of heat, say a raging fire or volcano, he can change into the fire element. And if he's in an environment that produces strong currents of air, he can change into the air element. It all depends on what's around him. He is also capable of switching when nearby users that wield these elements are near, although he'd have to trick opponents to forcibly use these abilities first before attempting to switch to said desired type (i.e: fire type user igniting a large puddle of oil). 

However, these elements are strong and weak against one another, so if an opponent uses something like water when Calistrophus is using fire, the latter's attack become far less effective due to fire being weak to water.

Light and dark must always be kept at a balance, each being able to be beaten if too much overwhelms one side. Light can created through a combination of all four elements through peace and harmony, while rage and chaos being the thing for darkness. Light is a defensive healing type, while darkness is an aggressive fighting type. Too much usage in darkness can blind the user and potentially can turn the user evil. Darkness should only be used in the most dire situations and only in very limited amounts at a time.

SPECIAL MOVES & TECHNIQUES          

■   [Battle Meditation]
Through calm concentration, the user can "communicate" with the surrounding environment and tap into the Xu-Wing elemental table. Depending on the element and the temperature that's most predominant in said area, the user is then capable of switching elements to match the environment he/she is in. For example, in hot environments the user is most likely capable of switching to the fire-based element. If near bodies of water, or if it's raining, the user is most likely capable of switching to the water-based element. If there's heavy winds, or if any wind is present in a location, the more likely the user can switch into the air element. And if there's dirt or any form of physical ground, the user can switch to the Earth element. This takes some time for it to truly take effect, so concentration is key for it to work successfully, even when in battle. This can also work if a user wielding any of these elements are also nearby.

■   [Xu-Wing Slash]
An offensive slash that changes to fit what element the user is utilizing at the moment.

Fire allows the user to send a wave of fire wave of fire towards his opponent. It goes quickly in the direction of the swipe and upon impact can cause severe fire damage if it hits an opponent. It can travel for very short distances in water before it extinguishes.

Water causes the blade's edge to become enveloped in high pressure streams of water. This makes a blade capable of breaking through rock and dirt at such pressures and can easily detach organic limbs on contract.

Air allows the user to produce a gust of wind that can knock back opponents and break through wooden walls with a single sword swing.

Earth has the user simply strike the ground hard with his sword and issues a small earthquake to stun and/or throw the opponent off. The shaking only lasts a second or two, but its strong force still can tip unbalanced opponents off. It also produces a small shockwave that can knock opponents within 2 meters off the ground, however any farther and it doesn't effect the opponent.

■   [Xu-Wing Wall]
A defensive ability that allows the user to create a wall of the element the user is utilizing at the moment.

Fire allows the user to erect a wall of swirling fire. It causes fire damage to anyone who touches it.

Water allows the user can create a wall of water in front of him to slow or block incoming projectiles and as a source of water to extinguish fire. If used underwater, it has the altered effect in removing water around a certain spherical radius, providing a pocket of air in which air-breathers can breath in.

Air allows the user to create a barrier of wind that can deflect most projectile attacks. The user can also issue a strong pushing motion with its hand in order to move the wall towards the opponent, which can effectively knock back it.

Earth allows the user to erect a wall of whatever ground is available to them. It can be made of dirt, stone, wood, or even metal, each having a different quality of defense (loose dirt being the weakest and metal being the strongest)

■   [Xu-Wing Energy Bolt]
The user is capable of unleashing elemental energy bolts of whatever element the user is utilizing at the moment from its hand or sword.

Fire allows the user to unleash a bolt of fire at his opponent. This can range from small fireballs to torrents of roaring fire.

Water allows the user to issue a ball of water at his opponent, which issues a powerful knock back effect upon impacting the user. It can also allow the user to fire a water jet at the opponent, which can get to being as powerful as a water jet cutter, effectively cutting through stone and weaker metals. To get as powerful as this however, a huge water source must be present, as well as an intense amount of concentration to pull this off.

Air allows the user to issue a ball of air at his opponent, issuing a powerful knock back effect upon impacting the user. The user can fire a stream of ultra-pressured air that can push an opponent farther back.

Earth allows the user to manipulate the ground below him by throwing chunk of any element below him at his opponent through telekinesis. Through immense concentration, the user can even "liquify" the ground and unleash it at the opponent in it's static form. This also includes wood and metal respectively.

■   [Xu-Wing Breath]
The user is capable of firing a breath of whatever element the user is utilizing at the moment from its mouth.

Fire allows the user to fire a breath of super-heated plasma from its mouth, ranging from small fireballs to roaring fire torrents.

Water allows the user to fire a breath of high-pressured water from its mouth. He can also fire water steam from his mouth to be used as cover to confuse the opponent.

Air allows the user to fire a breath of high-pressured air from its mouth, blowing its opponents away.

Earth allows the user to fire a breath of liquid earth, wood, or metal from his mouth, which hardens upon impact with a physical object. Breath variants depend on whatever material is more accessible to him in said environment.

■   [Xu-Wing Infusion]
User can infuse himself or his sword in a particular way based off of the element the user is utilizing at the moment and gain a significant buff or advantage to said part.

Fire allows the user to buff its sword's blade, where it ignites to be covered in aggressive lashing flames. They can cut through most material, which even includes metal, and issues fire damage on the opponent. It only lasts several seconds in water before becoming extinguished.

Water allows the user's skin to become much more smooth, allowing the user to become more streamlined. In water, this allows the user to become a better swimmer in water, and on land he secretes a watery substance that allows him to slide almost effortlessly on the ground for faster movement.

Air allows the user to become much more light on its feet. The user is capable of jumping higher, running faster, being more agile, and drains less stamina for up to a minute.

Earth allows the user to harden his skin to protect itself from most physical blows and gives a slight added strength boost to the user for up to a minute. Fire cannot effect the user as the thicker skin is basically fire-proof. The user is slightly slower in this form as a consequence.

SUPER MOVES          

■   [Concentrative Light Wave]
Then the user is at its calmest state of mind, he can gather upon all the light that is within him into his sword and unleash a powerful strike that unleashes a wave of light towards its opponent. Upon impact, the wave creates an explosion that engulfs the victim in blinding light, usually burning victims before finishing. It's most affective against those who reek of darkness and to those who are demonic (essentially to those who are evil).

■   [Forbidden Dark Slash]
When the user is in a desperate state of rage and anger, he can gather all the darkness within his soul into his sword as he unleashes a fury of dark-type strikes on his opponent. After finishing, a massive explosion occurs as it begins sucking away at the opponent's health. This dark ability is to be used cautiously, as those inexperienced are prone to be corrupted by this very move. It's most affective against angelic foes.

WEAKNESSES & LIMITS          
While Calistrophus' elements give him a boost in certain stats, it also lowers a certain buff from him (as stated in his fighting style). His fire element produces more attack power, but sacrifices in defense, making him prone to get wounded easily. His water element produces more defense power, but unless he's inside a body of water, his movement speed is nerfed significantly, making him less capable of dodging attacks as frequent. And his air element produces more movement speed, but nerfs his attack power, making his attacks less affective then they usually are. Only his default element, Earth, doesn't have a significant disadvantage, but also doesn't give him an advantage in any aspect as these buffs are balanced out equally.

As also stated, his elements can also be countered by other elemental users using certain elements, as shown below (although exceptions may apply):

APPEARANCE & PERSONALITY

APPEARANCE          
Malus stands at a terrifying seven feet tall. His skin, if you would call it that, is largely grey in color with a few brass segments here and there. Mounted on Malus's head is an intricate headdress with a green power gem sitting in the middle. This headdress serves to protect his artificially held mind from most forms of psychic attack, and it serves as a symbol of rank among the Dread Lords. Malus's face is set in a perpetual scowl, and never seems to move. He does not eat, he does not breathe, and not even speaking needs his face to articulate. Not even his glowing green eyes blink, creating a truly terrifying visage. Malus wears a thick armored collar that protects his neck and shoulders, and also holds two power gems. Malus's arms are rather plain in nature, and possess a power gem on the outer forearms. Malus's chest holds several power gems arranged in a sort of "ribs" pattern, and in the middle of his chest, as a sort of sternum, lies the overall symbol of the Dread Lords. Malus's "stomach" is a darker shade of metal, and his waist and legs are rather plain. He does wear a sash with a glowing green emblem upon the front, but it is nothing more than another mark of rank among the Dread Lords.

Malus wears a cape made of many small squares of metal with green power gems nested between them.

Malus's primary weapon is a huge warscythe. He is more than powerful enough to wield it one handed, but usually used both hands for additional power. One end holds a long and curved scythe blade, while the other holds a mace. This scythe is incredibly dense and heavy, lending a lot of power and momentum to it's swings. The blade of this scythe is connected to a power generator just below, and this power generator allows Ghostscythe to be used. Along with this, the power generator provides a field around the warscythe, protecting it from damage. During the Dear lord war, there were repeated incidents of warscythe's surviving battles that their owners did not, even as hardy as the Dread Lords were.

The other object that Malus possesses is a Power Orb. This power orb is extremely rare, being a gift directly from the God-Machine, and hosts many effects. This orb is also incredibly dense and possesses a protective field much like the Warscythe. The power orb may be teleported to and from Malus at almost any time, and may teleport bits and pieces of Malus under it's own will to allow him to regenerate at a later date. Even a small chip of him would suffice to rebuild his entire body and mind.

PERSONALITY TRAITS          
Ruthless. Calculating. Cruel.

BACKSTORY & MOTIVATION          
Malus is not a nomad by choice. His people were originally servants to an ancient machine god that, at random, decided to overtake the world. Their minds were ripped from their bodies and placed into mechanical bodies to carry out the great war that the machine god wanted. Malus himself slew hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent people during the march outward. His capacity for killing earned him award after award, and he was even granted a sliver of free will to more creatively destroy that which lay before him.

Eventually, the machine god was destroyed. With its corrupt AI now dead Malus and the rest of the Dread Lords were freed, but without a central AI to lead them, many simply shut off. This included Malus, but his story was not over. Hundreds of years later, long after the Dread Lords were forgotten, the sliver of free will granted to Malus had grown into a full personality. Cruel, merciless, but not necessarily evil anymore. Malus awoke deep within the abandoned prison that held him and his comrades. Breaking free, Malus armed himself with the artifacts that had been stored alongside him and left the prison behind.

The world had changed drastically as he had slept, and now Malus has to adapt to this new world that lay before him. A terrible revelation came to him as he began to explore the changed world: He was not the only one who had been granted a sliver free will. There were others who could awaken, and they could choose to resume the great war that they had been a part of.

Malus resolved that he would hold his own splinter faction against this event, should it happen. He and the other Dread Lords were made for a war that was much bigger than the current world was used to, and Malus feared that they would not be able to adequately stand against the threats of yore should they rise again.

Until that time, Malus decided to test himself against the new heroes emerging into the world. This had two beneficial effects: Malus would learn their techniques for himself, and they would learn how to stand against the Dread Lords should the threat emerge once more, even if it was a lesson to be learned in blood.

FIGHTING STYLE & ABILITIES

FIGHTING STYLE          
Malus is optimized to kill... Everything. With combat algorithms created by an omnicidial god-machine and a body far stronger and much more durable than most bodies of flesh, Malus simply marches forward in a ceaseless tide against his opponents. He doesn't need to be flashy, he doesn't need to be subversive. All Malus needs to do is simply smash his way through to victory. Raw and brutal power are all that it takes for him to get what he wants.

SPECIAL MOVES & TECHNIQUES          

■   Ghostscythe
Malus's scythe flares bright green, and for a time simply melts away armor, much like a lightsaber would.

■   Plasma Pulse
Making use of the cap of his staff, Malus releases a bolt of plasma energy in a direction. This bolt of plasma is fast, hits hard, and is extremely accurate. However, due to its volatile nature it lasts for only a few meters before fizzling out.

■   Living Metal
Living Metal is unique in that it is both passive and active. In it's passive state, Living Metal repairs minor damage over time and heals light damage fairly quickly. When activated, this healing is amplified to extreme amounts, capable of pulling Malus back together from just about anything. Due to his power orb, Malus can also regenerate at it's position rather than where he was. As such, even if you blast him apart, one small part of him might just go missing, leaving him to regenerate over time.

■   Power Orb: Shield projection.
Holding his power orb upwards, Malus projects a green shield around the area. This shield protects well against ranged attacks, but does nothing against people entering or exiting the shield or melee attacks.

■   Power Orb: Repair Machine.
Malus can use the power orb to render a non-functioning machine functional again. This can range from simple things like an engine or a toaster to even complex machines like fellow Dread Lords. It can only repair one machine at a time, but can be supercharged to repair multiple Dread Lords, as they resonate with it's energy better.

■   Power Orb: Hack.
Using fragments of the destroyed God-Machine AI, the power orb is capable of hacking through most security systems with ease.

SUPER MOVES          

■   Wrath of the Machine God.
Malus supercharges his body, granting him the ability to sprint and move extremely quickly while still striking with the titanic force he usually has.

■   Power Orb: Army of the Machine God.
Holding the power orb high, Malus summons some of the Dread Lords he was imprisoned with to the field. They fight independently, but are not sentient like Malus is. They work towards the same goal as Malus. The warriors summoned carry gauss rifles, which fire bolts of plasma for a longer range than Malus's warscythe can. Needless to say, they are ranged focused and will not eagerly engage in melee, though are more than capable of holding their own. Visual Aid.

WEAKNESSES & LIMITS          
Malus and the other Dread Lords were not built with speed in mind. The Machine-God thought his victory inevitable, and thus organized the Dread Lords to slowly push outward like a wave. It didn't need to hurry, and it's design reflects this. Malus cannot run or move faster than a brisk walk. He also cannot jump very high and cannot float, though without need for air he may simply walk along the base of any body of water he encounters.

Malus is also rather disliked by the world at large due to his status as a Dread Lord. What does not help this is that he is utterly useless for stealth due to the sheer amount of noise he makes. Malus does not really interact with people at large, and he often avoids towns and cities when he can. Nomads are a tad bit more accepting, though not by much. At the very least one normad does not call an army upon him.

I've brought Al back again for review. I don't think there's much else I'd change outside of recommendations from the GM's so for now consider this his complete sheet. He won't be the only one as he does have some opposition that will likely appear, should he be accepted.

Standing at around 6'2" and weighing one hundred and eighty two pounds his guy is sort of a tall lanky fellow with lean but dense muscle. He stands with a forward slouch and generally dresses down, his aim more for comfort than style. As a matter of fact he tries not to stand out by generally wearing plainer colors such as black, grey and white. Overall people who know him would describe him as a rather miserable looking guy. He rarely smiles and he keeps his eyes mostly down to the floor more often than not. His most identifying feature is his set of black fingerless gloves with blue straps.

BACKSTORY & MOTIVATION          
From the beginning Allan's life was a hard one. He was raised an only son with only a mother to take care of him. From an early age his mother had to dedicate more time to the flower shop she ran in order to keep the family afloat. He only really ever saw his mother early in the morning before he went to school and even then she was much too busy to properly take care of him. He did everything himself since he was forced to take care of himself since his mother was simply too busy to help.

Life at school was no easier. Being as shy as he was he never really made any friends and many of the other students took great delight out of tormenting him as well as anyone else who was unlucky enough to not fit in. He learned very little in the classrooms but out in the playground he learned to be hard, to be tough and to survive. Needless to say the days of his life when he was supposed to be enjoying life and having fun were spent in misery, fear and social isolation. Still, despite all the terrible things the people around did to him he vowed never to become like his tormentors.

Many years of this life he spent like this, resolute on trying not to become the scum of the earth which he had to endure the company of in the hallways and streets. It was at this point he started to realize he had strange powers he wasn't aware of. He went to the places he usually went when he wanted to be alone, places no one else typically went to such as abandoned junk piles, abandoned buildings and the sort. Outside the prying eyes of his peers he practiced, examining these strange new abilities he could now wield. In these places he practiced, testing the boundaries of his strength and improving them. Even with these new gifts he still continued on with life, keeping the power he wielded as a secret only he knew.

As he came of age he figured he needed to pick up a career in order to feed himself and afford rent. He managed to score a job as a security guard at a mall. It was by no means a highly prestigious position but they were willing to hire him and it beat working as a fry cook. What was nice was that since he picked up the night shifts he was often times the only guard on shift. He'd find areas away from the cameras and work out, testing his powers in secrecy while at work. It was also nice because during the day he had time to train in hand-to-hand fighting, an additional means of better controlling his strength. Of course he was definitely careful to make sure not to use any of his powers while training lest he end up revealing his secret.

One late night while Al was busy doing curls with a vending machine he heard a strange noise coming from down the hall. He set the large soda dispenser back against the wall and started walking towards the source of the noise. He approached a strange curio shop full of all sorts of unusual miscellanea, trinkets and the sort. Inside he could see three figures approaching the entrance. One set of footsteps was heavy and hard while another was accompanied with the rattling of a chain. The third was normal.

When the intruders stepped out he was in for a surprise. The first guy looked like the usual street punk with long ratty hair, dragging along a long heavy looking chain. The second guy looked like some sort of high end CEO type of fellow, complete with pitch black slicked back hair and a suit that looked like it cost more than Al's yearly pay multiplied by ten but more worryingly were his eyes which were blazing with fire. The third guy was the most surprising, a huge man covered from head to toe in a suit of chitinous stark black insectoid armor, a pair of glowing red eyes peering out from the open slot in what seemed to be partly a helmet and partly a growth fused to his black skin.

"What the..." Al was rightly at a loss for words upon stumbling upon this band of intruders. The serious man in a suit simply raised his hand, pointing straight at him.

"Take him out." The man with the burning eyes commanded. Al's body barely had time to even tense as the hulking man in chitinous armor lunged forward immediately upon hearing the order. With a fist easily as large as Al's own head he smashed him with a straight punch to the chest, sending him flying back with the sheer force he hit him with. Sailing through the air Al's body hit the mesh gate in front of the grocery store, tore a hole straight through it and continued through until he crashed into the side of a line of shelves.

"Huh. They usually break." The armored man remarked as he looked to where Al had landed. He was slumped in the crater his back left on the shelf, food items scattered about the floor. His whole chest throbbed with pain and his breathing was labored. Still, despite the tremendous force of the blow his rib cage remained intact. There was still fight in him yet as he struggled back to his feet, attempting to gather his bearings.

"Haha! Looks like this night just got interesting!" The one who held the chain jubilated, the thrill of the fight sending a chill of excitement as he surged forward, his chain slithering behind him. Swinging the chain forward the linked line of metal suddenly became a whole lot more animated, whipping out towards Al who was still staggering from the previous blow. The long chain cut through the metal mesh in front of the store like it was tissue paper, lashing out and wrapping around Al's torso. Al attempted to grab the chain but before he could attempt to seize it the seemingly living metal launched up, driving his head into the ceiling before it slammed him down into the floor. The whole ground shook at the impact, leaving an Al shaped hole in the floor.

This was bad. He was just being slung around like a toy doll by this greasy street punk, cackling as he manipulated the chain to his every whim. The chain's hold on him was powerful like the grip of a titan, even for one as strong as he. There was little way he was going to loosen it's grip on him, not that it was giving him any real opportunity to as it ran his head down the shelves along an entire aisle. Thinking fast as he was real tired of being smashed into things he caught a loose glass jar of salsa. As the man wielding the chain reeled him in for a real beat-down Al pitched the jar as hard as he could at the guy's head.

Crash! The jar connected, shattering from the force of the impact. With a short note of surprise and pain the punk's head whipped back. The chain lost all strength as the body slumped to the floor, knocked cold. Before Al could rise to his feet however the armored man rushed over, arms raised to deliver a haymaker.

Al rolled out of the path of the blow just in the nick of time, sending chips of flooring and concrete up at him like shrapnel. Even as thrashed as he was the sharp debris failed to pierce his rock hard skin. Without a moment's pause he scrambled to his feet and started running away, the insectoid ogre of a man giving chase. Though Al was light and strong the larger man held a lot of momentum and was gaining on him. Seconds from being caught he made a sudden right, turning down and aisle and taking off. The armored attacker had more difficulty turning on a dime like Al did, the distance between them growing.

Despite this gap he grew with so much aisle to travel down Al realized he wasn't going to make it to the end before his pursuer could get to him. In a snap decision of desperation he skidded to a halt before leaping at the heavy pugilist, both legs out in a double kick at the guy. While the kick connected the force only served to briefly halt the man while Al simply fell to the floor, on his back once more. To keep the chitinous bruiser from descending upon him he attempted to kick the foe back but he simply swept Al's legs aside and started raining blows upon him.

Al had his arms tucked in a tight guard but each hit landed with enough force to drive him through the ground, a little deeper with each punch. That was not to mention the fact that he felt like he was getting hit by a speeding car with each punch he took. He knew that simply defending only meant that he was going to get killed, plain and simple. With that in mind he seized the brief moment after a strike where the man wasn't hitting him and lowered his guard, reaching down and grabbing hold of the man's black chitinous ankles. With a swift yank Al pulled himself in between the man's legs, his head slipping right below a blow meant for his face. Now behind the guy he swiveled on his back, facing his feet at the assaulter's back plates. Pushing off from his back he kicked the man's rear end, sending him tipping over onto his face.

It was a window to act. He was succeeding much better than he initially felt, what with one attacker down and the other now open for retaliation. He could of run then but he decided to try his hand and fight back. Quickly pushing himself up onto his feet he was about to seize the opportunity to strike back when something caught his eye. Right in his arms reach on the shelves next to him were jars of peanut butter. Now this would not be an interesting fact under any regular circumstances but in this case it was pertinent since his foe was armored. The likes of this guy's chitinous shell might rebuff his fists however peanut butter would definitely find it's way through the cracks in his protection.

Just as the armored man was rising to his knees in the process of standing up he looked up only to see plastic case of peanut butter rapidly approaching his face. Before he could intercept the object with his hands Al drove it right into his face. The package was ripped apart upon the harsh edges of the foe's face plates, the gooey light brown paste splattering through the brow guards into his eyes. Al leaned back, dodging a fast swat at him as the blinded fighter roared in inarticulate offense. This was it, the time to lay down some revenge pummeling.

Only for everything to suddenly light up. A beam of concentrated fire, about as large as Al's own body, burnt a hole through each and almost every object in it's path. Were he some ordinary human he'd be little more than charred dust at this moment. Thanks to his phenomenal defense however the stream of fire only served to completely immolate him, the heat blistering his skin.

This whole time the man with the burning eyes had been following his every move, watching him even through the many shelves and other obstacles. This was why they needed him, because once he sees someone he can always see where they are. The ability to incinerate all that he sees with fire was simply a pleasant side benefit.

At this point the man in armor was not important. The man with the chain nor even the man in the suit were important. The only thing that was important was the fire. He needed to put it out, nothing else at that moment mattered to him. Quite nearly flailing in agony Al ran for the nearest freezer and jumped into it, not even bothering to open the door as he simply crashed through the glass pane. Once inside he grabbed several buckets of ice cream and pressed them flat against himself, dousing the flames in ice cold cream. Once the worst of the fires were quelled he looked out to assess the situation.

The guy with the chain was starting to come out from his brief bout of unconsciousness and the armored man was still busy trying and failing to clear the peanut butter from his eyes since the chitinous plates around his fingers were too large to fit in his eye slot. The man in the suit however was still looking straight at him, the flames in his eyes growing with intensity. This wasn't a fight he was going to win. Even if he tried to stop the man in the suit from immolating him all over again the man with the chain was going to be rejoining the fight shortly and the armored man not long after him. Seeing no clear victory to be had he decided to take this momentary recess to escape.

Leaping from the freezer Al ran for the exit. Like a rabbit in pursuit his heart was beating rapidly as the adrenaline carried him forward, keeping him moving and holding back every sense that was pushing at the gates of his awareness to tell him he should stop moving and collapse. He bolted through the exit, tripping the silent alarm to the building as a result. This did not keep him however as he kept running, not pausing until his legs were on the verge of giving out beneath him. After the panic that gripped him had faded fatigue filled the void it had left, leaving Al with little other choice than to collapse into the nearest dumpster, resting upon bags of garbage until he was able to fight through the pain he was in and find the strength to dial a cab.

As the man with the chain's vision stopped spinning he held his head which throbbed with pain, looking about for the guard that dealt him the blow only to catch a fleeting glimpse of the man running through the exit. Before he could chase however the man in the suit extended an arm, holding him back.

"Hey, we just letting him go alive-like just like that?" The punk complained, the chain in his hands itching to coil around Al's throat and crush the life out of him.

"No. More formidable foes are on route to here. We have the stone, we need to leave. Now."

The two wanted to finish what they started with the lone security guard however neither one were going to disobey the words of their leader. Waiting only long enough for the man in armor to rinse the peanut butter from his face plates they fled the scene before their opposition could close on the situation. Aside from failing to kill a witness their crime went mostly without error. This was not the last time Al was going to see them however.

He recovered quickly after the incident. By the time he was home he felt fine despite suffering injuries that would of left most people hospitalized for months. He discovered he could use his power for more than just taking hits and dealing them out. He could also heal damage suffered simply by concentrating on recovering, hence his state upon returning home.

Despite keeping his powers hidden all this time he knew that hiding was no longer an option. This was made especially clear when investigators interviewed him regarding footage of the encounter. Given how he was on shift when the damage occured he was guaranteed to be out of his job. Luckily the information regarding the more supernatural aspects were kept from the public. The police records were confiscated by government agents for review from higher agencies.

After all that Al figured if he couldn't live a normal life he might as well become a nomad. At least then he might have the free time to try and find the guys who attacked him and figure out what that was all about.

FIGHTING STYLE & ABILITIES

FIGHTING STYLE          
It's quite evident that Al's not highly trained. While he's not bad off in Thai Boxing he's no master, not even a black belt. As such his style is largely characterized as simple. He throws jabs, hooks, straight kicks, roundhouse kicks, knee strikes and elbow strikes. His defense is fairly tight though, able to block or avoid most shots thrown at him using a healthy combination of arm & leg blocks with moving in and out of specific attack ranges. He likes to play it safe and stick outside of his opponent's range until his foe closes the distance at which point he moves in close, keeping up his defense while throwing out powerful short ranged strikes. If his opponent chooses to keep poking at him from afar he'll try and close the distance, tanking whatever blows come his way as he attempts to cross the attack threshold. Despite his lack of techniques he's quite adaptable, able to use his opponent's weaknesses and the environment to his advantage when possible.

Al is a nephilim, born of a human mother and an angel. As a result his ki is quite substantial, complete with benefits straight from his divine half. The most substantial feature of his is the nature of his ki. His ki's affinity is Internal so while inside him it's substantially more abundant and powerful whereas it quickly dwindles when used for external purposes. He possesses an internal reservoire which replenishes at an extraordinary rate, allowing him to recharge his ki from nearly empty to fully charged in the span of five minutes. This ki rejuvenation is constant, replenishing like a never ending stream born from within.

This ki is born of the divine so it is limited to holy effects. Given it's affinity he's mostly locked to effects which only effect him, the closer the better. The various applications are as follows:

Divine Might |Toggleable|
Al is able to boost his strength to superhuman levels, allowing him to bring a speeding bus to a dead stop with the right footing. This power is spread through his entire body, making him stronger all throughout himself. This power is only at it's strongest unarmed however. Using a weapon reduces the force of it's impact as a result of his strength by half, decreasing from there in proportion to the length of the weapon. The maximum force to length ratio begins at a small knife and simply shrinks further for longer weapons. Almost nothing Al wields impacts harder than his fists, feet, knees, elbows, head or just him in general. Thrown objects will still maintain the full force born from the use of his strength however since throwing something does not count as making it an extention to himself, thus the ki never leaves his body which allows it to maintain full potency.

This power drains a steady amount of ki while active, only slightly less than the amount he passively rejuvenates. He can choose to relinquish his strength and regain it at will nigh instantaneously. In addition when this power is used against demonic subjects or things with demonic energy present in or upon them the effects of this power are doubled. Furthermore this power infuses his attacks with a spiritual ki which can effect intangible foes such as ghosts and other phantasmal entities so long as they possess a soul. The ki infusing his strength interacts with the soul as physical matter would with the flesh.

Divine Protection |Reactive|
Upon taking damage Al's ki will harden around the area harmed, turning his flesh and bone into reactive armor. His flesh becomes as hard as steel while still maintaining it's organic flexibility and his bone becomes as solid as high carbon substances such as diamonds or cubic zirconias. Unlike Divine Might Al can conduct a lesser portion of this power to others through touch. Al must remain in physical contact with the subject in order to continue channeling his ki through them and as such the protection will end immediately upon loss of contact. In addition the protection is only half as effective for the recipient than it is for him.

This power requires no manual activation, only spending ki upon shielding against damage. The amount of ki spent upon activation is proportionate to the amount of damage received, up to the limit of damage it's hardness can endure. In addition when this power opposes anything demonic or containing demonic energy it will only spend half as much ki to shield against the damage as it would for a regular attack. Furthermore this power will defend against spirits and other phantasmal foes in possession of a soul as if they were solid.

Divine Healing |Channeled|
Al's most notable ability, the power to heal wounds and purify ailments at a relatively rapid rate. At will he can focus his ki, spurring it to begin restoring his body to it's predetermined state as according to the blueprint of his soul. The rate at which it heals is as follows:

Small wounds & bruises - between five to ten seconds for full recovery.
Large wounds, small burns and minor fractures - between ten to thirty seconds before it ascends to a lesser wound category.
Major wounds, second to third degree burns and large fractures - between thirty seconds to one minute before it ascends to a lesser wound category.
Deadly wounds, limb loss and bone breaks - between one to three minutes before it ascends to a lesser wound category.
Nigh fatal wounds, multiple limb losses, major bone and/or torso destruction - between three to five minutes before it ascends to a lesser wound category.
Wounds greater than this cannot be healed from as they result in near immediate brain death.

If limbs are removed but later placed back on the healing to restore said limb is one category higher. Types of injuries not listed above are to be given an approximate estimate of severity which will decide where among these categories it falls under. The same can be said of diseases, poisons, and even magical ailments. Anything that is at all connected to Al's body directly can eventually be undone with relative haste. The same can be said for afflictions of the mind. If something alters his memories however the process of restoring his mind might leave him with selective amnesia as it will purge the altered memories along with whatever else is influencing him.

This power drains a steady amount of ki while active at a rate which is just slightly more than the amount he passively rejuvenates. Al can conduct this power to others through maintained direct physical contact. The healing takes twice as long for others and costs double the amount of ki. In addition this power holds no benefit for subjects with demonic energy present within them as the ki will damage them for as much as it heals them.

Divine Flight |Passive|
Al possesses the ability to fly at will. He is currently unaware of this ability however. At first he will begin to understand that he can make himself lighter at will, allowing him to jump greater and greater distances until he eventually is able to cease falling altogether. With training he will learn how to direct his motion in midair until he attains a finer degree of control over his aerial movements.

This power is technically always active but can be consciously suppressed if needed. The power costs slightly less ki than roughly a quarter of the rate at which he rejuvenates it.

SPECIAL MOVES & TECHNIQUES

WEAKNESSES & LIMITS          
Al's biggest weakness is his relative lack of training. He's competent in Thai Boxing but that's about it. While his innate angelic powers more than make up for his lack of experience in combat their nature is bent more towards healing and defense, leaving him quite lacking in diversity when it comes time to attack. All he has to throw at his opponents are unarmed strikes and whatever his creativity can come up with at the moment.

Due to his ki's innate nature being limited strictly to his body his ability to fight at a range is nearly non-existant. He makes up for it largely by closing the distance between him and his opponent however he can. While he might have versatile mobility if he's unable to reach his opponent he'll be at a significant disadvantage.

As for his defense he's vulnerable to being pressured for extended periods without rest. Given even a brief reprieve he can recuperate a great deal but when forced to use multiple powers all at once or simply hit with an onslaught of attacks for his defense to soak he'll start to run out of ki. When he runs completely out ki not only do all his powers deactivate but he also passes out for about a minute since his stamina is directly tied to his ki. This leaves him completely vulnerable for that amount of time.

Lastly there are instances where he'll be reluctant to fight back. He'd much rather avoid hurting women and children even if by not doing so he puts himself and others in danger.

APPEARANCE          
Makoto is an intimidatingly beautiful young Japanese woman. In fact, there is very little about Makoto that is not intimidating. Her gaze is a piercing crimson, and her long, black hair runs down past her waist, contrasting sharply with her smooth, pale skin. While not much taller than most women her age (173 cm), her presence makes her seem far larger than she is. Makoto oozes with confidence, aggression, and projects a constant aura of competition and determination. Her dress sense is practical yet stylish, generally preferring black boots, trousers and sweaters.

PERSONALITY TRAITS          
Tomboyish, aggressive, confident, straightforward, honest to a fault. Can be somewhat lackadaisical, is generally bad with money, and is flirtatious with other women. Constantly seeking new challenges and trying to achieve new heights.

BACKSTORY & MOTIVATION          
It is not an exaggeration to say that martial arts have defined Makoto's entire life. She was born in Kurokami Temple, a monastery and dojo in a rural, mountainous region of Japan. While her parents are both esteemed martial artists in their own right, her grandfather is a true legend. Kurokami Tenshin, a man known by some as "the God of Battle." Considered to be one of the most powerful fighters in the world at his prime, he retired to raise his family and tend to his ancestral temple some forty years ago, disappearing from the world stage.

Though his son did not inherit his legendary power, it seems that his granddaughter has. A true prodigy, Makoto demonstrated uncanny skill and might from a very young age. At age eight, she was able to defeat a grown adult in hand-to-hand combat. At age fourteen, she was able to fight the Assistant Master of Kurokami Temple to a draw. By age seventeen, the only fighter at the temple able to compete at her level was her own grandfather. While she spent her youth showered in the adoration of her peers and classmates, Makoto found life to be incredible dull; no one she knew could remotely challenge her (as he grandfather refused to participate in anything more than light sparring), and her power was so overwhelming that she knew no way to improve.

As a result, Makoto was a somewhat rebellious youth. She enjoyed gambling and other mild delinquent behavior, often skipped classes, and spent her weekends in nearby cities trying to pick fights with tough-looking passerby. Her rebellious spirit was inflamed by the then Assistant Master of the temple, a man known as Shadakou, who tried to teach her his philosophy of domination and righteousness through strength. Though Shadakou was eventually banished from the temple, some wonder if his teachings had an adverse impact on Makoto.

After graduating from high school, Makoto pretitioned her grandfather to train her as his successor as Grand Master of Kurokami Temple. He denied her, claiming that she lacked the temperament and discipline to lead the temple in his stead. Rejected and disheartened, Makoto left home to become a Nomad, claiming the title of "Goddess of Battle" so that her status as her grandfather's rightful successor could become widely known. Now she seeks to pit her might against ever stronger opponents around the world, and prove to her grandfather that she has what it takes to become Grand Master.

FIGHTING STYLE & ABILITIES

FIGHTING STYLE          
Makoto has been trained in the traditional style of her family's temple, the Kuroi Hoshi, which was devised as practical hand-to-hand combat method during the first Sino-Japanese War. However, she has adapted the style to better suit her own abilities, thus creating what she calls the Hoshi Goroshi style. In battle, Makoto exerts an overwhelming offense, combining her shocking speed and enormous power to blow away opponents before they get a chance to defend. All-out, unrelenting attack is her strategy, never allowing her opponent to rest or recover. Her ki techniques visibly extrude a black, destructive aura, though the spiritual quality of her ki is still pure and noble.

SPECIAL MOVES & TECHNIQUES          

■   Black Star Strike
Makoto launches forward with a straightforward punching attack. Her enormous strength is enough to blow away any normal human opponent with one strike, and can inflict significant damage to any Nomad that underestimates her.

■   Black Star Cluster
Makoto strikes out in multiple directions with unspeakable strength, fast enough that it seems like she's attacking in all directions at once. This technique is less focused than the Black Star Strike, and thus less powerful, but is meant to take on multiple combatants at once.

■   Black Hole
By focusing all of her strength into her grip, Makoto can create a localized distortion in gravity. Enemies that try to escape her are sucked back in toward her, and projectiles in midair can be slightly diverted.

■   Black Star Nova
Makoto's ki solidifies into a miniature star, a blazing-hot fireball that can be kicked at her foes, or they can be kicked into it.

■   Black Star Pulse
Makoto's equivalent of a ranged ki attack; however she pours so much power into the attack that rather than a beam or a projectile, it is instead an explosive and concussive burst of short-range power.

SUPER MOVES          

■   Black Meteor Crusher
Again, a straightforward punch, but infused with the pure, destructive force of Makoto's ki. According to rumor, if her grandfather hadn't diverted this attack the first time she used it, it would have split Mt Fuji down the middle.

■   Black Star Destroyer
Makoto's ultimate technique, wherein she summons every ounce of power she has, and simply fires it at her enemy in a single blast. Makoto claims that if misdirected, this technique could destroy the Earth. Is it true? Hopefully we'll never find out.

WEAKNESSES & LIMITS          
While Makoto is strong without a doubt, and a superb martial artist, she suffers greatly from her youth and inexperience. She is not what some would call a smart fighter, and her battle strategy begins and ends at destroying her opponent with brute force. Defense is a tertiary concern at best, and she'd sooner die than retreat. Though her endurance is impressive by human standards, exerting her enormous strength is extremely taxing, and she is hardly judicious in where she uses it, and as a result she tires very quickly in battle. Given that she has only rarely had a battle that lasts longer than a single strike, Makoto is completely oblivious to this weakness. An experienced fighter that can either avoid, deflect, or otherwise endure her sheer power can gain the upper hand on her by allow Makoto to overexert herself.

APPEARANCE          
Considerably large by Pixie Faye standards, Mori is 4'5" in height and important to note that she is not a Pygmy Pixie (meaning those really small Tinkerbell types), although still a feather-weight comparatively. Upon observation, Mori has pale, almost sickly skin, glowing yellow eyes, and bleached white hair. Her attire is usually basic in the form of an aged dress with nothing really covering her feet.

She has clearly undergone some advanced prosthetic work and for even the most basic of perceptive people will be able to roughly figure out why. Mori's left side has experienced tremendous damage at some point. Mori's left arm, from about the bottom of her bicep, is missing and has been replaced with a robotic limb. Her left wingset (both superior-primary and inferior-auxiliary) have been severely damaged to the point of being mostly replaced by synthetic parts. The right-side wingset maintains her natural, biological webbing but the spine has been fortified with a similar looking artificial material. At the base of her wings, on her back, is a central core that provides a generation of power, storage of Corrupted Dust, and auxiliary boosters for increased flight speed. Finally the right-side antennae has also been replaced by an artificial replacement.

The final note of Mori's appearance is that of a filter mask that covers half of her face. Worn nearly all the time, Mori will keep the mask on her for her own health. Her voice, naturally, is considerably raspy as if sick with a bad flu but with the mask, it sounds monotone and almost sinister.

BACKSTORY & MOTIVATION          
Shortly before Mori's birth, the raid on Mythics in Greece had caused all communities to consider their safety. Some communities decided to take their chances and remain isolated while others decided to go where they were safest. If it were not for the conservatism in Mori's community, there was a chance Mori might not be born as their parents had met that night of initial discussions. 

Moving on to Mori's post-birth, she lived in quiet isolation within a small population, under twenty individuals, of Mythics in Eastern Canada and shortly after her birth, there were continued talks of the community attempting to move to Sanctum to ensure their protection. The concern of the minority in an already small population of Mythics went ignored and the community lived in peace for a few more decades.

Not all things last and eventually the peace that Mori's community had experienced came to an abrupt end when a mysterious organization raided the community. This event was almost entirely isolated from any related event and identification and motive of the opposing party is still unclear. Whoever they were, almost all of the Mythics were causalities save for one, Mori.

Mori's survival came at a the cost of sustaining severe injuries and while it may have been possible for Mori to find restorative magics, she opted for a different route. With revenge still circling in her mind, she wanted power and offered an inside deal with pioneering foundation, the Horizon Frontier. The foundation would receive a specimen to study and Mori would hopefully be provided the improvements she needed to become a real threat. 

Of course it was certainly a dangerous thing to basically sign yourself over and experimentation on Mori's physiology and magical properties had resulted in a drastic change in her condition. One of the subjects of study concerning Mori was the research on the natural Pixie Dust, a product of Mythic Mana and through more accidental experimentation the scientists created the anti-thesis to Pixie Dust, Corrupted Dust. As Faye are more associated with Life than Death, this changed had noticeable adverse effects on Mori. Regardless, they pursued this research for a time, even crafted and provided Mori the specific artificial parts and upgrades to those parts with the Corrupted Dust in mind. Whether the Horizon Frontier gained a lot from their study of Mori or not, they did, in fact, release her on the condition that they she offer her abilities for testing. Without much choice in the matter, Mori was tested against Mercenary groups and Nomads for a time.

Eventually Mori's lust for revenge would drive her to break her ties and disobey any further directive from the Horizion Frontier, possibly creating an enemy out of them but she considered her revenge more important. She turned to Sanctum to offer her protection while she continued to search for the identity of her attackers. Thus Mori's life would turn to that of becoming a Nomad as she was added to the ranks of the few quasi-independent Mythics.

FIGHTING STYLE & ABILITIES

FIGHTING STYLE          
Mori's fighting style is set in stages, roughly, and regardless of stage, she will always try to maintain flight even if she is just hovering above the ground. With the first stage she usually resorts to uncoordinated, brute force with her robotic parts, namely her arm, being the forefront of her attacks with her Mythic strength being rather secondary. The first stage is mainly a skirmishing phase and while brutish, she is reserved enough to always consider a way out of an early engagement. After all, she needs to buy time to power-up her unique abilities.

The second stage of Mori's fighting style adds the addition of utilizing her unique mechanic, Corrupted Dust. As a Mythic Faye, she is capable of generating Pixie Dust at will but due to alterations to her Ki/Mythic being, she generates a sort of polarized opposite of Pixie Dust. Pixie Dust is a substance that is more for healing and buffs while Corrupted Dust is more poisonous and debuffs. 

Dust is naturally generated by the Mythic Faye with a semi-conscious effort on their end, like flipping a switch. The Dust is generated throughout her body by non-physiologic means, meaning the Dust isn't apart of her, more of a magical process of generation. The passive process consumes Mana over time and therefore is best switched on when the need arises, in Mori's case combat. This Corrupted Dust is then consumed by Mori in to perform a variety of unique abilities. Corrupted Dust can be used immediately for lesser effect or stored for greater effect. For example, Mori's arm and wings will store Corrupted Dust to provide the more powerful tools in her arsenal.

SPECIAL MOVES & TECHNIQUES          

■   [Phase Shield]
[More of a tech power, Phase Shield will use the technology in Mori's arm to generate a standard circular energy shield to protect her from attacks. Drawing from electrical energy, the Phase Shield will eventually drain its battery if damage or time exceeds the stored limit. Time must be then taken to recharge said battery.]

■   [Jet Sweep]
[Using some of the stored dust, Mori will supercharge her wings and auxiliary boosters to increase her flight speed. In an attack form, Mori found it best to charge towards a target and then use her Phase Shield as solid-point ram.]

■   [Acid Bomb]
[Using her right hand, Mori will clench her hand into a fist and allow Dust to collect and transform into an acidic ball. The ball will then be tossed at Mori's target of choosing and upon impact, acid will attempt to melt the substance it hits. The process of creating an Acid Bomb takes a few moments of storing Dust but the longer Mori contains the Bomb, the stronger and higher amount of the acid released will occur.]

■   [Toxic Slash]
[Using her right hand, poison is secreted from under her fingernails and then applied when she slashes a target inflicting them with type of neurotoxin. Targets may feel any of the following symptoms: problems with memory, coordination, reaction, sleep, and thinking with the possibility of feeling depressed, confused, and fatigued. This is an ability that consumes generated Dust immediately.]

■   [Flash]
[Using her wings and some stored Corrupted Dust, Mori will channel that Dust up her into her wings and then consume that Dust to form a phosphorescent flash, capable of momentarily blinding and stunning opponents who directly see the flash.]

■   [Awakening of the Deadwood]
[As Mori engages in combat, her Corrupted Dust accumulates on the battlefield. This Dust can then be utilized as "seeds" to suddenly grow dying plant material, dying trees, vines, barbed plants, etc. Magical in nature, Mori will have some form of control over the movement those summoned plants before they wither away after a few minutes.]

SUPER MOVES          

■   [Death and Decay]
[Upon Mori's conscious decision to use this ability, she will briefly be able to generate a massive amount of Corrupted Dust on the condition that is out of her control. The generated dust will always cause a withering effect upon contact with any ki entity, draining their ki at a moderate rate while they are in the field. Upon full drainage of ki, or if the user does not possess ki, a moderate rate of body destruction occurs. The Corrupted Dust bursts forth in a random but usually spherical area around Mori's position. This maneuver will greatly tax her Mana and therefore affect her Dust generation, slowing it until Mori has time to recover.]

■   [Dust Cannon]
[Stored Corrupted Dust is electrolyzed in Mori's robotic hand and then fired from the palm in a continuous beam, depleting all stored Dust within the arm. The diameter and power of the beam is dependent upon how much Dust is stored prior to firing.]

WEAKNESSES & LIMITS          
Allergic to her own Corrupted Dust, Mori will always feel slight skin irritation from any Dust she comes into contact with but it is imperative for her to keep her mask to protect from inhalation. Inhalation of minimal levels of dust will cause a coughing fit while prolonged exposure to her own dust will result in more serious health complications (If one were crafty and observant, they can use Mori's own Corrupted Dust against her). Furthermore, the limitation within her power is consumption of Dust to power the more creative and powerful moveset of Mori. She can only produce so much dust in any given moment and accumulation of that material is necessary for her attacks to have potency. Spacing out her special attacks is preferable to rushing them.

Emmanuel wears the typical crusader armor, with a tabard worn over a chain shirt, fit with metal gauntlets and a square helmet, with only narrow slits for eyes. However as a Nomad, he has a level of invulnerability that grants him some liberties in terms of how much he weighs himself down. He wears brown boots, and only cotton pants underneath his tabard. Emmanuel almost never removes his armor, no matter the circumstances, only removing it to bathe. Even in such circumstances, he never removes his helmet.
	According to Emmanuel's own account, he is quite ugly. He is skin is wrinkled and red, his nose is brunt up and round. His chin mishes into his neck, and his teeth are yellow and mishapen, with his hair being few brown tufts. Despite such, Emmanuel wears his helmet at all times not to hide his own insecurity, but because he feel he is better defined by what he has become than what he is as a man.

BACKSTORY & MOTIVATION          
Emmanuel was originally born in Germany, only mere decades before the first crusade. He was just the village idiot, too hideous for anyone to meet in person. The only hope he ever had of leaving his existence was when his lord volunteered him to join The Order of God's Hand, which was only because he himself was too cowardly to fulfill the debt he owed them.
	Yet, once he joined, Emmanuel's life greatly improved. He learned the way of the Hand of God rather well, a style used by crusaders fighting with nothing more than gauntlets in full armor, adopted after the order had been defeated several years ago by a traveler from the east with nothing more than a flimsy stick. At the age of only 28, Emmanuel had become one of the order's greatest warriors.
	Eventually, the Crusades came, and Emmanuel was sent along with the order to persecute the war for Jerusalem. After many battles against the enemy, Emmanuel encountered many enemies, who were skilled in ways just as much as he had been. Eventually, Emmanuel retired without ever returning home. He served as a member of the order, tasked with defending one of several kingdoms.
	Unfortunately, Emmanuel was captured by The Templars, along with the rest of his order. They were an organization dedicated to acquiring the treasures of god, including the Hand of God style and technique. To acquire the secrets, they threatened the lives of all members in exchange for knowledge, though Emmanuel remained strong. One by one, his brothers were massacred, yet Emmanuel's lips stayed shut. With no options left,
The Templars threw him into The Tomb of the Saint, a mystical container of which all time had no effect within.
After 200 years or so, with his mind broken by the sheer insanity and isolation, and he would gladly give up the secrets.
	But then, the Templars were excommunicated by the pope, with the entire order being scattered and forced to abandon several of their relics, including the Tomb of the Saint, turning Emmanuels sentence from 200 years to much longer.
	It was only in the modern day that Emmanunel was released, his sanity hanging by a loose thread. The world he walked through was one entirely different from the one he recognized. Everyone he knew was dead, or had descendants that very little in common with them. With no ties or relations to anything in the modern world, Emmanuel wanders the earth, alone.

FIGHTING STYLE & ABILITIES

FIGHTING STYLE          

Emmanuel’s fighting style is the Hand of God, named after the order of the same name. It focuses heavily on devastating hand to hand combat and the Maneuvers it would enable, and also relies on strong defense, such as a suit of armor. Another lesser requirement is strong willpower and faith in the cause of justice.
     The Style was developed after the Swords of God, an order of knights in Germany, encountered a traveler from the east, who then defeated the entire order with nothing more than a flimsy stick. Amazed by his power, The Order cast asside weapons, changing from The Swords of God to the Hand of God.
   Currently, Emmanuel is the only wielder of the Hand of God. Even if none of the order were slaughtered by Templars, the style would’ve died out to history.

SPECIAL MOVES & TECHNIQUES          

■ Valiance

By charging up his energy, Emmanuel gives himself a Valiance counter, which improves the quality of his next Special Move, increasing damage, effect, and slightly widens it's hitbox.

■ Divine Haymaker

Emmanuel punches so hard it pulls his entire body forward.

■ Radiant Crossguard

Normally, this functions as a normal block. But if Emmanuel has a Valiance counter, the block pulsates,
sending the opponent several meters backwards.

■ Crusader's Uppercut

Emmanuel punches upwards, launching the opponent into the air and backwards. If charged with a Valiance Counter, the opponent is sent back much farther.

■ Hammer Fist

Emmanuel swings his fist overhead onto his opponent. If charged with a Valiance Counter, it will hit with enough force to partially submerge them.

■ Headbutt

Emmanuel rams his helmet against the opponent, momentarily stunning them.

SUPER MOVES          

■ Hand of God

The single most powerful move of Emmanuel. He requires a full meter of Ki to use it, and only has a hitbox slightly larger than a regular punch attack. It also takes several seconds to charge, giving the opponent plenty of time to tell when it's being used. Yet if the attack it hits, it deals a flat 50% damage to the opponent and sends them flying.

■ Crusader Flurry

Emmanuel makes a flurry of 15 basic punches against the opponent.

WEAKNESSES & LIMITS          
Emmanuel’s weakness is his abysmal Range and Speed. None of his Specials hit very wide, even when his Valiance Counters are active. He’s also easy to Kite, as he can never move much faster than a jogging pace.
     Emmanuel also possesses a strong code of honor; If an opponent tries to surrender, given they aren’t horridly evil, he will spare them and let them go. He will also refuse to fight women or children given when his life isn’t on the line. Transversely, he will attempt to actively fight any opponents that are demonic or undead, regardless of actual morality or chance of survival.

OTHER

Occasionally, Emmanuel suffers nightmares.

Hatsu is a rather small lad, standing at 105 cm tall. He has a lean build, brown hair and eyes and a rather plain face. He is generally shirtless, (they tend to rip if he does wear them) with his lower half covered by black pants, sturdy boots and a (fake) tiger skin worn as a loincloth. On his arms he wears a pair of long gloves under a pair of magical gauntlets and a singular shoulder pad made in the image of an Oni’s face.

BACKSTORY & MOTIVATION          
Hatsu Shoji was born in a quite japanese town that was only notable for having a sizable population of humans with Oni ancestry. Oni were large, unpredictable and immensely powerful beings that long ago lived in the mountainous regions of Japan and china. Like many Mythics they once were wide spread and held considerable power, but the ascension of humanity brought conflict between the two races. The casualties suffered from a result of these conflicts meant that, even once the two species finally found peace, the Oni population was reduced to an unrecoverable state and the species slowly withered away leaving only human half bloods as their legacy. In the present day the Oni are long gone from the land, yet some still linger as spirits, generally in regions where their half blood descendants reside.

In Hatsu’s town there are 4 such Oni spirits that, through the use of specially made artifacts that allow them to interact with and give power to a chosen descendant, allowing them to act as guardians of the town. Those chosen are generally those with the most visible Oni ancestry, be it partially developed horns, sharper teeth, red eyes, a slight red/blue tint to the skin etc. Hatsu’s sister was a perfect example of this, while he himself was born utterly devoid of indications of his lineage.

There is a slight stigma against those like Hatsu in the Oni blooded community, not a great one, but enough that the boy ended up rather isolated and introverted, never really fitting in with either his bloodkin or the pure blooded humans of the town. It was to everyone's surprise then that the studious and quite Hatsu was chosen by his grandmother to be her replacement as guardian. So much of a surprise that everyone assumed that the old women had been delirious on her deathbed and had really meant Hatsu’s sister. It was also to everyone's surprise that the boy was outraged at their decision to reinterpret the dying woman's words to fit their prejudices. Unknown to anyone he had been training obsessively with the hope that he could compensate for his lack of Oni characteristics by becoming strong like their revered ancestors, while also studying myths, stories and histories involving the mythics. He had just received the ultimate validation that his hard work had paid off, and here they were tearing it away from him.

With his elders unwilling to listen to words Hatsu took matters into his own hands, stealing the gauntlets and shoulder pads that had belong to his grandmother, that allowed her to commune with the Oni Spirit Akuran. Upon donning the items he heard a voice. The voice of  Akuran.

”Hah Ha. I knew you were the right choice boy!”

After talking the two decided that if he was going to be able to keep his position, he would need to prove himself and so, guided by his Oni ancestor, Hatsu set out into the world as a Nomad with everything to prove. Akuran meanwhile got a well deserved vacation from the rather dull town.

FIGHTING STYLE & ABILITIES

FIGHTING STYLE          
Hatsu has very little formal training in martial arts and most of his skill has come from hard won experience. Most of his limited combat training has come from the spirit of Akuran that resides in his gauntlets and Oni aren't known for their love of finesse. Despite this Hatsu has made an effort to add more skill to his fighting prowess than just knowing where, when and how to punch someone in the face really hard . As for how he fights specifically, that depends which of his two methods of fighting he is using:

SPECIAL MOVES & TECHNIQUES          

■   [Ancestral Mantle]
[Hatsu is armed with a pair of gauntlets which can be used to channel the spirit of his ancestor, giving them a partial physical presence (as modeled here by his sister). This manifestation takes the form of a semi translucent mask floating in front of his head that acts like a face guard and a pair of massive floating fists that are mostly linked to the actions of the gauntlets. This is the mode that Hatsu uses when he needs both range and the ability to think strategically, the floating fists can punch or grab things that are out of reach, and his body and remind remain quick and nimble in this state. However Hatsu’s young body and weak Ki barrier leave his actual physical form variable in this state, as a result he likes to keep his foes at arm's length, using his floating fists to both strike from a safer distance and to block incoming attacks. The mask offers limited physical protection, but can easily be circumvented by skilled opponents]

■   [Embrace Ancestry]
[Hatsu can, for a short amount of time, take the power of his gauntlets within himself, transforming into a 2 meter tall lesser Oni. Within this form his body is physically far stronger than his normal body, being able to both dish out and take more damage than his human form can. However he takes a hit to his self control (feeling permanently tipsy) and range capabilities as a result, resulting in a far more aggressive and in your face style of fighting. While in this mode their agility is decreased, however Hatsu’s Oni form has much better straight line mobility than he normally has, able to perform great leaps that carry him a considerable distance. Hatsu gets progressively more drunk (on power) the longer he is in this form and becomes considerably more reckless with every second he spends in it. Changing into this shape takes a few seconds of concentration and Ki channeling. It also leaves Hatsu with a hangover after he dispels it.]

■   [Phantom Fist Flurry]
[Turns one punch into a barrage of punches that are individually weaker, but cumulatively much more destructive]

■   [Rocket Fist]
[after a big windup Hatsu fires one of their fists at high speeds over a considerably longer distance than usual]

■   [Flame Breath]
[The mask opens its jaws and shoots a gout of fire towards a target.]

■   [Flame Strike]
[the floating fists become wreathed in blue and red flames that discharge in a burst when they strike a target]

■   [Thunderclap]
[Brings the two palms crashing together to create a directed shock-wave]

■   [Hot Shot]
[Surrounds an object in flame before hurling it like an improvised fireball.]

■   [Flame Aura]
[Surrounds Hatsu in a localized hotspot that goes from blisteringly hot to actual fire hazard.]

■   [Hot Headed Hit]
[Fire erupts from a part of their body, dragging that body part forwards. Useful for adding extra punch to a punch or performing a flaming dive-kick.]

SUPER MOVES          

■   [Oni-Ni-Kanabō]
[While he mostly fights with his fists Hatsu can and will make use of blunt instruments if they are available. Oni have an affinity for club like weapons, empowering the blows of the weapons when they use them. However, Hatsu does not have access to a dedicated weapon capable of withstanding this power and as a result he has to improvise them. While traffic lights, signposts, metal chairs and other random metal junk make poor substitute for the Oni’s iconic kanabō they can be devastating effective while they last.]

■   [True Blue]
[ A supercharged version of Embrace Ancestry, this turns Hatsu into a three meter tall Greater Oni. Bigger, stronger and even more furious than his normal shape shift, Hatsu has describe the experience as “what I imagine severe alcohol poisoning feels like”. As a result it is an incredibly exhausting move that can only be sustained for a couple of seconds at a time.]

■   [Meteor Strike]
[ A full body Hot Headed Hit, in which Hatsu leaps up and then does a rocket propelled cannonball back down towards the earth, causing a fiery explosion at the impact site.]

WEAKNESSES & LIMITS          
while using the gauntlets Hatsu’s physical body is incredibly weak compared to most fighters, meaning that anyone who gets in past his punching range can wreck the young boy. In his Oni forms he suffers from increasing degrees of intoxication that, while it does not reduce his raw power, it does result in him getting increasingly foolhardy the longer he uses them. The slight dealing in switching too his oni form means he can't hot swap to it when his defenses are breached, and the deliberating after effects mean he can't just dump oni form to get his smarts back straight away.

I know Savo has commented on the hyperbole in the CS already, so I wont beat that drum again, though I do wish for that to be toned down.

The other main issue I  have with Makoto is her move set and her weakness. Her fighting style imply more of a rushdown character but her actual move set implies a shotoclone. You should rethink what you want to focus on. The other problem is the weaknesses which is tied to the hyperbole a bit. You make it sound like she almost Exhausts herself out after a single punch, which makes me question how much of that hyperbole is real or not. When you are toning down her extremeness, you will need to redo her weaknesses, especially if you are going to refocus on the shotoclone aspect or the rushdown aspect of her character.
