One by one, all the lights in the universe have been disappearing, blipping out of existence without a trace. Scientists have tried to find a solution, but with Earth long gone, their resources are limited, and they simply cannot find an answer to save the remaining scraps of humans that are left drifting in the universe, and the last star is about to disappear. All the remaining humans have gathered in one spot, a mere 2,000,000 people remain from a once thriving galactic civilization. Panic is widespread, and even the remaining military stations have descended into near chaos. Not only are we dying from lack of supplies, there is also an unknown plague ravaging the population. The human race is going to die, and there is nothing we can do about it. And that’s when they came. Lights began appearing around all the gathered ships, and upon closer inspection it became obvious that they weren’t just lights. They were creatures. Aliens. Billions upon billions of years of being alone in the universe, and now we discover new life- or rather, new life discovered us, and they've been watching us for a very long time. One of the creatures approached a ship, a military outpost, and explained who they were and where they were from. They are called the Zitari, and they're from another dimension. A dimension that they are willing to transport humanity to, for a price. Once every hundred Earth years, all the species of this strange dimension gather together for “games”. In these games, the endurance of the contestants from each species are tested. The games are designed to push you to your mental, physical, and emotional limits, and then push you a little more. Whatever species wins the games gains control of the government for the next hundred years. Victory is determined by who has the most contestants by the end of the games. The Zitari’s proposition is that if the humans send contestants that manage to last for a reasonably long time in the games, we will be granted a permanent place in their universe, thus proving we are deserving of such consideration. Unfortunately for humanity, their candidates are very limited, and their best bets are you lot, a group of ex military degenerates drifting on a prison ship, and me, your C.O. If the you succeed, you will be completely forgiven of any debt you owe to society, and heavily rewarded. If you fail, you will suffer the same consequences as every other human left in existence. Humanity’s fate is in your hands.

Your Role:
You're an ex military convict that is currently imprisoned for whatever act you did that got you a court martial. Because of your skill set, you and a few others have been chosen to represent humanity in the games, along with a single military commander who has been assigned to keep watch over you all. Yes, we all want a wonderful, unique, intriguing character. We all want to have a part in the plot, have the spotlight a bit, and that’s okay. However please remember that what makes rping so fun, is that it's a bunch of writers with their own unique perspectives coming together to form relationships between multiple characters, and have a group adventure. Having one character that is constantly causing problems, having problems, and just generally being dramatic makes it all about that one character, and that's no fun for the rest of us. If you have an idea for a plot twist, feel free to mention it in the OOC, and if everyone agrees we can do it! If we all work together, everyone can have their own moment in the spotlight and we can all have an equal share, and we can all have fun. 2#: Abide by the RPG rules. No NSFW on public forums, the whole shabang. 3#: Listen to the GM when I tell you not to do stuff. I’m pretty laid back, but I will delete your posts if you piss me off. 4#: Don’t power play. It’s irritating and needless. If you need someone else’s character to do something for an idea you have, discuss it with the person. 5#: Have fun!
