Thomas is constantly on the edge of society, exactly where he wants to be. He has few friends but is very close to them, and very loyal. He tries not to let life get him down and is always looking for the silver lining. He often has cynical streaks where it's hard to see the good in life, and is typically unmotivated in these periods. He likes to spend time with other people, but finds it difficult to make new friends. In most social occasions he is quiet and distant, unless accompanied by a good friend. Being an only child he values time alone, but almost always prefers to be with friends. While he tries not to let things get to him, Thomas has a fairly short fuse. He is more likely to give up in frustration than burst out angrily. Fairly shy in the presence of strangers, especially females.
Inner Personality: Thomas wishes very much to be loved, and forms pretty dependent relationships, often feeling lost when not with someone he considers a friend. Among his friends he is fairly outgoing, though he always seems to be keeping something back.

Biography:
Thomas was born and raised never knowing his father. This led him to be very close to his mother when he was young, but distance himself from even her later in life. Very few people ever really seem to know him, and he tries to keep it that way. He's always been a stellar student, earning high marks in every subject. Most people believe him to be a sheltered genius from a wealthy family, mostly because he never talks about the only family he has. His mother works night shifts at a diner and has for most of Thomas' life, and they see little of each other any more. Throughout high school, Thomas has become more social in some aspects and in other ways more introverted. A few people managed to get him out of his shell, but it was only those few he ever talked to. His current academic goal is simply to graduate, being sure of many academic scholarships to see him through college. Everything had been going fine, but since one of the people he actually felt close to died, Thomas has been less stable, mentally and emotionally.
