Age: 18 Grade: 2nd grade, Mephistos school of the wickedly inclined Biography: "How perfect life can be when you are blissfully unaware of all the danger and evil around you. Yet when that illusion finally crumbles, so will you." "My story up until a few years past were considered pretty normal. A normal upbringing, a normal amount of friends and average grades. I was one of the many, lost between the superpowers of this world. Those whom were my friends were part of the St.Laurel's school where my parents also happened to be working at the time as gardeners. They lacked any powers themselves but found work there. They were very important to me, as important to me like the love of my life, Charlotte or my best friend Geon. Who both were candidates for the tournaments which the school held. Charlotte herself were very special and had drawn the attention of individuals such as Alto. He was the trumph card, the top contender for the school. And it was partly because of him that everything I knew crumbled in on me." "One summer afternoon, as the sun was going down. I was standing outside the school grounds waiting for my friends and parents, I was not allowed to walk on the actual schoolgrounds themselves as I was not a student nor did I work there." "I was sixteen years back then. I had planned on asking Charlotte out, to finally tell her how I felt about her. She had surely many admirers within and outside the school. She was beautiful, smart, strong and awe inspiring. Everything I was not. But during the years I've got to knew her, she never spoke from a high and mighty place nor did she ever make a difference for me being the only one in the gathering lacking any real power." "As I stood there and was waiting, curious to see if she would reject me or not. I was greeted with the sight them all walking towards me. My best friend Geon waved to me before jogging over, followed by Billy and Carus. They were in their usual cheery mood, hoping to enjoy the rest of the day playing basketball. I could never really compete with them on it, even if they didn't use their powers. They were just better than me at it. Charlotte was more of a studious girl, she worked long and hard to get the results she wanted. I truly admired her for that." "We were going to get a ride home by my parents who were ending their shifts. Their van could fit enough people for the short ride. That's when it came. The darkness. From the corner of my eyes I could see his form and his voice, like a thousand needles going into my spine. A terrifying voice which sent chills to those whom heard it. I had never seen that cloaked and hooded person before in my life. Why had he come? He would tell us." "Ah... you must be Charlotte and Geon of the upcoming tournament are you not? The friends of that boy Alto?" "Uhm yes, can we help you?" "Charlotte had asked the hooded being which replied." "Yes, yes you can. Die." "I acted out of instinct, the terror and the fact I lacked any real power did not cross my mind. This person was threatening my friends." "I was flung like a ragdoll into a wooden bench and then rolled across the cement floor outside of the schoolgrounds. I heard how the bones in my body snapped. The pain stinging in my left arm and leg, and the taste of blood in my mouth. The vision blurred from the impact." "My friends attacked the hooded person and they stood no chance, he crushed them. He squeezed the life out of them one by one. Their powers did nothing to him. My vision cleared for a brief moment as I blinked and I saw Geon's blank face looking to me. His neck had been broken he was no more." "I tried to get up. But I couldn't. I tried to stand but my leg failed me, my arm could not support the weight of lifting my body. Then I saw him... he hovered over her and then he killed her." "In the end I was helpless to watch as all I cared for was being torn away from me. By an entity I did not even know could exist in this world. A demon awakened from some horrible dream. But the nightmare would not end there." "The unmistaken voice of my father as he and my mother came running. It took all my breath to yell for them." "Run away! Go now!" "But they did not run away. They came to help us but he killed them too. There were other people around. Their faces blurred, from my injuries and by the distance. They didn't do anything but watch before they scattered. "The monster which had done the deed turned it's head around to look at me as I was crawling forwards dragging my shattered body. He knew I stood no chance against him. He knew I was weak. He knew I was just human. Then he walked away not even bothering to finish me off. Leaving me to die." "I wanted to die. But it was not yet time." "The sight that came to me was a sick bed, my arm and leg had been bandaged. My chest was also covered in bandages. I was alive. I looked around but found no other person, just an open window and the dark summer night. I took hold of the thing which held the small watery bag, using it to lean against. I was dressed in a white garment, reaching down to my knees." "Where was she? Were was my friends? My parents? I couldn't be the only one alive..." "My slow painful walk down the corridor led me to an information desk where the person working there had briefly gone elsewhere. On the top of the desk was the newspaper." "Two adults and four students killed by St.Laurel's. Bystander deeply wounded." "They were dead. They were all dead. Why? Why had this happened? I needed air. I took steps outdoors from the clinic or hospital which held me. I could not tell which it was." "I walked along the sidewalk down an empty street. The monster had sought Alto. He was the intended target. He was the reason why my family and friends all died. This wasn't how it was supposed to end. I will never be able to see her again until I have taken revenge." "As I made my way along the street two individuals had walked up behind me. Both being young like myself." "Heh, going somewhere grandma? Oh what's this? You look like you've be close to dying. Want a push in the right direction eh?" "They were laughing. This world was truly cruel. I could feel the heat boiling up inside of me and something in my head switched on. I wanted revenge for the fallen. I was not going to die. Not yet. I could not face them again without doing something. As I closed my eyes I could see. How was this possible?" "I could see myself standing there with those two troublemakers from the eyes of someone else. I looked down and saw a ghostly shape. My own hands. It was me? Were I already dead? Would I be forced to watch my own death in a place like this?" "I lunged downwards and swung my fists in anger towards the two boys, instead of fists I saw large extendable white tentacle like things, originating from my back. I slammed the boys with them and sent them flying into a nearby dumpster." "What is this? I could hardly believe what I saw? Something had happened to me. Something within me had broken and now it was free. I could feel everything around me. Or through that form I took. I gazed at my own physical body and how still I was with closed eyes." "I picked my true self up with this form I was now within and I began to walk before being stopped again by a lone person." "He whistled and then made his offer." "You are something special I can tell. How about you join up with me and my guys? We could help you get stronger." "Stronger? He offered to take me to a place where I could get stronger. I wanted the power. I needed it. I nodded my head and followed. That is how I was led to the St. Lucifer's School for Peace and Wellbeing" "My true physical body was weak. It was beyond repairs. No matter how hard I would train I could never run with this leg, I could never use my both hands and my breathing was bad. I needed help with breathing. So they brought me what I needed in order to live." "In return I came to offer them a promise of my own. I would train myself. I would master my power and when I had mastered it I would use it and kill Alto of the St.Laurel's school." "He was one of the ones responsible for the death of my world. He and that monster. This was my second chance. My second chance to do something and not be forced to watch. Now it has been two years since I first arrived here. My physical body has aged, my skin is pale, my body is frail and thin, dark rings under my eyes and long unruly hair. When not in the form of my younger astral self, I am barely able to lift my arm, or open my eyes... or simply speak. I am thankful for them taking me in. But at the same time I do not feel anything for them. They are almost as bad as that monster. They want me for their own goals. If I have to become a monster to kill a monster. So be it." Powers: Core power: Astral Manifestation: "I am able to take the form of an astral variant of myself, a ghost, a spectre or spirit could also work to describe it. With it I am able to move about, with some differences to others ofcourse. I may take semi-solid form, allowing me to attack others but doing so leaving my astral self vulnerable to damage. Or I may assume incorporeal form and allow things to pass me through or pass things through. But I cannot attack in that shape or stay in it indefinitely. I can also manifest other people which I recall. Who play out scenarios they did as I remembered them. But not seize control of them or direct them. They are just memories. Very dear memories. Things I will never be able to forget, things I will never be able to forgive. No matter which form my astral self assumes I cannot be moved, heat and cold have no effects on me. Things which tries to affect regular people just won't work on my astral form. While my physical self is another matter. My astral body may have limbs removed from it, but I can manifest them back given enough time and effort. If the damage however is too great to my form it will dissolve. If destroyed I may manifest a new one by my physical body, providing I have the mental strength left to do it." 1st power: Ectoplasmic wings "The first of the powers that I came to use were the tentacle like ectoplasmic wings protruding through my astral form's back. With them I could slam and grapple people with reach. But also use them for other matters. Such as shielding my astral body from attacks by placing them before me. They like the rest of my form could be harmed but they are slightly tougher." 2nd power: Energy beams "I do not know any other word for them. Each tip of the tentacle like wings bear the ability to shoot these energy beams. I cannot use them with the same appendage I am grappling or slamming with though or when blocking. I may fire them all separately or all at the same time, even pull them all closely together to create a larger more destructive beam." 3rd power: Crave the grave. "My indomitable will. My memories cannot be altered. My mind cannot be led away from the task I've set myself upon. Any attempts to possess or toy with my head will not work." Relationships: Alto: "Even if we never met. You met my friends. And you are the reason why I am now without them. I could never forgive you. I will avenge my fallen friends and family by ending you. Charlotte looked up to you but in the end they all died because of you. I give my all until my flame is gone, even if I am meant to die!" Clara: "My love for the fallen is greater than your hate for the living. That's why Alto will be killed by my hand." Katherine: "You probably do not remember me as we only met a few times. I do remember Charlotte and Geon speaking very fondly of you though. I wish they would still be here." Brutus: "Geon always found your power to be remarkable and something amazing. I don't have any buisness with you though." Bak: "My friends was taken by a monster. You became a monster. Don't get in my way." Rurik: "He could have been a friend. But in this world friends will just leave painful scars. Something I have had enough of." Vernon: "You have not lost everything yet. So I guess you can still find happiness." Others: "There are many I have never met. I do not judge them before I have met them."
