As such she has a tendency to act without thinking when under pressure in order to cover up her insecurities, sometimes gaining the initiative and turning the tide in her favour, while at others leading herself and her compatriots into tougher situations.[/indent]

[indent]Once a member of a search and rescue squad, Carmen's specialties were in protecting her allies and providing controlled demolition solutions when required. After beginning a sexual relationship with a married superior officer, Carmen found herself side-lined from main operations "for her own protection". When she confronted her lover about this, threatening to reveal their relationship unless she was given better assignments, the hot-headed woman was given an assignment that was extremely dangerous, which led to the loss of not only the people she was tasked with rescuing but her entire squad as well. During the following investigation, Carmen tried to reveal the truth of the circumstances behind the event, only to find herself unable to prove her allegations. With only her word against that of her superior officer Carmen was charged with dereliction of duty, conduct unbecoming an officer and various petty offenses which led to her dismissal from service.[/indent]

[indent]Pistol marksman and explosives expert. With Carmen there's no middle ground, either you get the little bang, or the big one. Experienced close combat fighter with some knife skills, but preferring to just shoot and run when cornered.[/indent]

[indent]Hot-headed, rash, mercurial. Lacks the fine control and upper body strength to operate heavy weaponry well, preferring to stick to small arms for most engagements, along with explosives when her pistols aren't doing the job. Has a tendency of switching to her 'backup weapons' a little too readily, often endangering her team with her free use of them without considering collateral damage or environmental dangers.[/indent]
