Or rather, he greeted Liselotte with a grand flourish and a mouthful of words, and then gave Cyan a simple greeting with a hand on his shoulder. Andriem made him feel a bit uncomfortable, there was something about him that felt subdued but hostile. Cyan wished he would get his hand of his shoulder already, even his touch caused discomfort. However, he assumed it was just his imagination and didn't say anything, not wishing to be rude. "Do you guys want to tackle this in a three groups of two? It’s best to make sure every room in each floor is clear. We can take out floors more efficiently if we move in groups of two, and meet up at each staircase when we had cleared out our sections," Cassius offered before apologizing and suggesting they could draw lots. It seemed not many cared much about the drawing lots part, Cyan included as he wished to partner up with Cassius, but everyone basically agreed that partnering up was a good idea. "Now please, don't all swarm me at once for partnership propositions!" announced Liselotte, standing a couple yards to Cyan's right. One might assume at first that she was joking, but being classmates Cyan knew she was actually like this, and rolled his eyes. Nobody would take up a partner proposition like tha- "I'll be your partner, Lady Valois-Saint-Remy!" Andriem exclaimed almost into Cyan's ear, holding the fist they had rested on his shoulder up in the air. Cyan couldn't help but take a step backwards and look at him with a glance of surprise and bewilderment. Replying like that would just encourage her pride, why on earth would anyone want that? They must have some other agenda. Maybe they were after her money? Feed her ego and strike when she least expected it? Cyan didn't particularly like the haughty girl and her antics, but he wouldn't want that to happen to anyone. He'd keep an eye on Andriem, but for now the missing students were more important. Cyan was about to ask if Cassius would be interested in teaming up with him when Samoth half-offered, half-ordered their partnership together, and proposed Cassius and Katherine to be the remaining team. Of course, he knew Samoth wasn't really ordering people around, it was just the factual manner in which he spoke that made it seem that way. Cyan had no problem teaming up with him. As Samoth turned and began moving into the apartment building, Cyan moved around Liselotte and whispered, "Be careful," as he passed, glancing in Andriem's direction. Hopefully she would understand and be wary. It was just speculation at this point, but he thought it best she at least know he could have something nefarious up his sleeve. After passing by Lise, he sped up into a jog, heading up towards the entrance through which Samoth had gone. As he stepped past Cassius, and Katherine who put her arm around him, he turned as he moved and gave a small wave. "See you afterwards, good luck!" he called back, before swiveling around back to facing where he was going, and he stepped in through the door. "So I know you have some magic-stopping type power, do you think that would work on the ghosts?" Cyan asked once they were alone inside the entry lobby of the apartment building. The whole room was filled with dust, with thick layers on the floor and the ruined tables and chairs, and a haze of the stuff in the air that caused Cyan to sneeze a couple times. Beams of light shone through the grungy, broken windows. The wallpaper was peeling and gray, with hints of pale color to them. Remnants of when there was an actual pattern. "If you can't, what do you think we could do against them? And I think there's supposed to be imps, too." Cyan bent over and picked up what once was a leg of a wooden chair. Wouldn't do much against ghosts, but imps better watch out. It's batters up!
