Were it not for the bandit yelling as he began his attack, Jacoby would have been too distracted by the scene unfolding in front of him to realize the attack was coming and wouldn't have been able to turn a fatal attack into a small scratch. Nor would Jacoby have been able to catch the bandit's blade with his cross guard, immobilizing the weapon for a time. "You desire my attention?" Jacoby asked as his orb began to glow brighter again "Very well. Now you have it". With that said, Jacoby held his orb up to the bandit as a blinding white light burst from the orb and hit him full in the face.
