Speaking of duplicates, you could also have something like [i]Puppeteer[/i], where Ananda would create an illusionary clone of herself which she could control from a nearby hiding place. This could be coupled with the ability to trow her voice, a common stageshow sideact.

She could use this on occasions where she needed to be seen, but wouldn't necessarily want to be, such as when she was negotiating with a hostile business rival, or her lover's significant other. The spell would be broken as soon as anyone tried to physically interact with it, but that should provide Ananda either time to escape or the opportunity to leap out of the cupboard shouting "Surprise!" with a ferret in each hand.
