Her heart was beating pretty quickly in her chest because she was nervous about the upcoming raid. It was going to be the most exciting and most dangerous thing she had ever done after all. When Gabi returned home, she put the shovel away in the small shed that had been constructed from bits of wood scavenged from raided human caravans before she went to the small chicken coop and started to sprinkle some food on the ground for them. The greedy birds devoured it hungrily. As Gabi watched them eat, her eyes searched for the fattest one to prepare for dinner tonight.
