Liz was surprised by Bastian's question. She hesitated not sure that she wanted to answer. "I can't say that I understand your actions. You accepted everything the woman in the cave told you even though it made no sense to me. I guess that she played by some sort of rules I don't understand." She told him honestly. They were playing a game she had no experience in. She wasn't the best person to be advising him. "From the little I understood with your conversation with the other beastkind, you didn't trust what he said because he didn't play by the rules like the woman did." Liz shrugged. She didn't think it was fair but he knew more about these people than she did. "I think that the other beastkind could have been more help than the woman was. But what is done is done. It is too late to know if he had any information you can use." She would have allowed him to stay atleast until they knew if he had information that they could use. But that wasn't her decision and it was too late to worry about it. If the other beastkind had information they would never know it. It was a missed opportunity. All she could do was hope that they didn't regret it. Liz reached into the barrel that Bastian indicated held the food. She preferred that her meat be hot but supposed that didn't matter to someone who was part animal. She pulled out a chop and handed him one.
