EST - 0 Days Since Hel Returned

In an effort to move things along, we're going to be moving some of you over to "case" style posting. If you've been in one of Lady A's RPs, you are doubtless familiar with this. Counters are reset for each group on a case at the time of the GM's update. You are given information and an end goal. You work in a group on a collab (or individually, if it's a solo case), PMing the GM for rolls as you need them. Not everyone will be assigned to a case this round - cases are listed below... If you're on a case, make sure to send me a PM with the collabs. I am not starting the collabs - that's on you guys. Case Name: When In Doubt, Go to the Library! Members: Folly, Fairfax, Seraphina, Thalia, Lilith Length: 7 Days (Roll requests stop on day 6) Recruiting: Why the hell not? Goal: Find whatever information is to be had in the library and come up with a plan
"I say, the collection is almost identical to what we have," Fairfax mused. He was pulling various books off the shelf before flipping to the front cover. Some of them still had the small book sleeves there and odds were, he was searching for his own name - evidence of his own life and existence. So far, the only proof that his life had amounted to anything was the slight deranged girl walking up and down the rows, trying to find books that would be of use. Most of the Norse myths here at the library were geared for young children - simple tales of Thor and Loki, of Baldur and Ragnarok - nothing on Hel, however. "Something isn't quite right..." Folly then said, her eyes darting towards Fairfax. "What do you mean, Amiyra?" Folly shook her head, her hair sweeping slightly from side to side. "It's not important." Seraphina was having the best luck as the search went. In fact, she found just about the only book worth finding in the library - the Hollander translation of the Poetic Edda. Now, this book is a collection of anonymous Norse poems, all detailing the major and even minor myths. If there's anything that would have mentions of Hel and potential ways to defeat her, this would be it. It's the closest thing to a primary source that you'll be able to find.
Case Name: Angel With a Shotgun Members: Jessica Length: 7 Days (Roll requests stop on day 6) Recruiting: Probably best if you don't...O.O Goal: Get the hell out of dodge
Sayuki snorted on the other end of the line. "Yeah, like I said, you're old," she repeated. She was still a teenager and anyone over the age of twenty was automatically classified as old, already in the middle of their life and just a few years out from a coffin. Not to mention, they tended to be rather boring, obsessing over taxes and elections rather than anything actually important. She then paused on the other end of the line. "Yeah, whatever. Maybe I will - but what's in it for me, huh?" Sayuki then asked. In the midst of the conversation, Jessica's car's engine began to sputter out. Try what she will, there's nothing wrong with it. In fact, from her rearview mirror, she can see a pack of angels coming from her six. They're dressed in corporate attire, eyes glowing white. Battle time!

Fergus

Location: O.M.E.N. Panic Room - O.M.E.N Headquarters - Washington D.C. Interacting With: Bronwyn Calliban [@FantasyChic], Alec Fletcher [@Peridot]

The O.M.E.N. agents stared at Alec for a moment, their plane still somewhere in the air over Wisconsin. They were expressionless and from their earlier actions, it didn't seem like their intentions were friendly. But then, the female agent cracked a smile and chuckled, the others following suit. "We learned a lot of things at Ghost School," the agent replied. "What did they teach you at the academy, though? Arts and crafts?" "You know, I did hear that the FBI mandates the use of safety scissors..." one of the other agents chimed in. The mood had lightened considerably until the video conference connection initiated. Everyone at the O.M.E.N. facility in the meeting at Washington D.C. could see and hear Alec. He could see and hear them as well. The video call began just in time for Alec to hear Bronwyn share her information about Hel - but what did this have to do with Agent Murphy? Back in D.C., Irwin nodded after Bronwyn said her piece. Yet rather than everyone else in the room accepting what she had said, Agent Shasta Zacharia of MI13 rose to her feet. "Miss Calliban, what do you propose we do?" Agent Zacharia asked. There was no malice, snark, or disrespect in her voice. It was one thing to be told information about a foe, but they needed more than that - they needed a strategy. "Aren't you lot just going to fire a nuke at her and call it a day?" Fergus groaned. He was getting a bit bored with all of the formality. He preferred to get his hands dirty and his information to be given as fast as possible. All of the bureaucratic etiquette was cramping his style. He then gave a cheerful wave to Alec through one of the monitors, as if they had been life long friends. "Charming as ever, Fergus," Agent Zacharia said lightly. "I think ridiculous is the more appropriate choice of words." On one of the many monitors in the room - and for Alec, on the bottom corner of his screen - was MI13 Agent Jade Cornish. She was bloodied and bruised, standing outside what appeared to be a train station. It wasn't normal for O.M.E.N. to request help from outside agencies - let alone the Brits. Whatever was going on, they were scared shitless. She honestly wasn't the type to betray or defect - her stunt earlier that day had been a surprise to most, herself included. But it was true - Hel had killed needlessly. Yet she was a needed poison to get rid of a far greater threat, one that slaughtered without any remorse or consideration on a far larger scale. If this was the price to save the world, then her morals could be compromised slightly. "Agreed," Aloise said simply. "And I think I know how to kill her...Her sword. She never lets it out of her sight. Always has it on her. Might be like an angel blade - their main weapon and the only thing that can kill them," Aloise suggested. "So we just need to steal the sword of a Norse goddess...Great," Robin replied. The mission set out in front of them seemed to be a series of impossible tasks - but they'd be worth it in the end. However, she wasn't certain that three people could accomplish this on their own. There were a lot of variables, a lot of dangerous acts. It was very likely they wouldn't all make it out. If she had to let Aloise die so that way Mariana could live, Robin already decided she'd make that call without hesitation. "She's expecting us in the morning," Aloise then added. "She said she had business in D.C. tonight...Told me to go recruit for the cause."
