A slim tail came out of the covers and pressed the alarm clock's button. The room was dark, but the yellow eyes at the foot of the bed could see fine.  The blue covers lifted, revealing a young women, but lizard like in appearance. She swirled around, getting on her knees and stretching with a rattling sound. She slumped and scratched behind her frills. She got up and put some shorts and small shirt on. Then rapping a cowl around her head. She braced herself and opened the door letting a lot of light inside the dark room. She walked down the stairs with smell of fruit, bacon, eggs and strawberry pancakes heavy in the air. [color=8dc73f]"Hey Mom! Dad already out?"[/color] she said behind the shade of the cowl. Her Mom jumped at the squeak of her daughter. "Honey! You scared the hell out of me! I thought you'd be asleep a little longer, so I figured prepare breakfast. As to your father, yeah, he went to the lab and he took some of your scales as well." Jen sighed heavily. [color=8dc73f]"He always does that. Why can't he just stop and be happy with how I am..."[/color] she said putting on sunglasses and letting the cowl hang on her back. "Your father wants you to be happy without being treated like vermin. Even if he is going about it the wrong way." she said handing her daughter a plate of cut fruit, 2 boiled eggs, and a stack of 3 pancakes. Jen licked her lips with her snake-ish tongue. [color=8dc73f]"Thanks Mom...I guess he is a case of the wrong things for the right reasons."[/color] and she slurped the boiled eggs up with her tongue. Her mom laughed. "Table manners little lady!"
   After her breakfast, Jentoi put her cowl back on and grabbed her satchel. [color=8dc73f]"By Mom, I'm going to the tailor's, I'll be back around eight."[/color] "Okay! But avoid the new-to-town-ers! You can't be too careful!" and she went out the door. She waved to the people she's known for years on the way and entered the shop her friend owned. She opened the door and went to the back. [color=8dc73f]"Hey Liz!"[/color]
