Name: Halek Gender: Male Age: 31 Race: Human Appearance: Halek stands at a solid 5’11” in height and weighs 180 lbs. This weight comes from a athletic form that tells of years spent with a sword in hand. Halek has black hair, but there are a small amount of grays from the stress his body endures from magic. He has dark red eyes and is clean shaven. Scars litter his body, including one long one on his face going from his temple to the bottom of his jaw on the right side of his face. Runes are tattooed across his arms and torso allowing him to quickly perform spells he uses often. He has multiple golden rings and amulets, all with red gems. He typically wears a leather coat with rolled up sleeves, soft boots, and dark pants. He has metal plating on his shoulders and had different armour pieces scattered throughout his outfit, seemingly at random. All the armor pieces have strange webs of red running throughout them. He has his cloak tucked into his belt, at least the torn rag that used to be his cloak. Personality: Halek is calm and silent, often letting others do all the yelling and bluffing. His job is to be a menacing presence and he fulfills that job well. He typically thinks deeply before he acts, unless he is in combat. In combat he runs almost purely on instinct. He is loyal to his comrades, and repays his debts no matter what. History: Halek’s parents had given him up to the inquisition at birth. The inquisitors decided to raise him and train him along with some other children around his age. Growing up in the inquisition was in no way easy, every day was training, studies, or a new test. As they grew older the teachers began to teach the students magic. Halek had much difficulty learning most of the types of magic the teachers taught to the kids. Halek decided to focus on his sword skills to make up for his ineptitude with magic. He became one of the best in the group and was beginning to learn some of the more advanced techniques. His life continued like this until he reached 17 and some of the higher ranking inquisitors came to choose apprentices. The man who chose him was a powerful magic user who needed some brute strength to guard him on missions. He began to go with his master on various missions hunting all traces of the blight across the land. He learned the differences between training and theory, and real combat out in the field. His master taught him all the dirty tricks in combat, and every way to trick an opponent. He had been journeying with his master for a few years before he tried to teach him magic. Confused with why Halek had difficulty with most magics, the master began to test Halek’s aptitude in multiple magics not taught by the inquisition. He discovered that Halek was a natural at blood magic. While not dark magic it was much more closer to the dark arts than anything the inquisition dabbles in. He began studying blood magic and rituals intensely, spending most of his time with his face buried in books. Eventually his master was promoted to the council and Halek became a true inquisitor. Over the years Halek has had a sort of autonomy, since his old master has become a sort of patron for him.
