Name- Lothian Dimaethor Age- 47 Gender- Male Race- Elvkiin Personality- Despite everything Lothian can be surprisingly light-hearted at times, whether genuine or a front, though the revelation that he has almost nothing left does weigh heavily upon him. His lack of many connections with the remains of his people has brewed a strong wanderlust reinforced by a desire to leave everything behind that has always conflicted with the sense that he must do what he can to help his people. Backstory- Lothian was born during the end, as the Navorus plague was ravaging the northern forest. It was not a year before his parents left him with relatives as they could feel the plague take them, but that hadn't lasted much longer. In the course of a few years relatives became distant relatives to friends to trusted strangers and finally, when the forest had gone from home to graveyard, he was alone. He was later found barely surviving among the remains by a band of Elvkiin known among the survivors as "The Crows", for they are the only ones to brave the corpse of their old home and pick among the remains for anything left of what they once were that could be salvaged, he was taken on as one of them. He stayed with them since and eventually they began to take on more roles besides scavengers, they became scouts, hunters, even took it upon themselves to continue to protect the forest despite it's abandonment. The looters and bandits the were as undeterred by the dead atmosphere as they were came to call them "Revenants". It was during especially hard times that some of them would venture into the Empire's lands and trade with small settlements, elvish treasures for supplies, though they often tried to remain disguised this still had the side effects of spreading the, albeit true, rumor that the Elvkiin had not been wiped out. It was during one of these such journeys that Lothian heard of the Emperor's call for a party to face the Scorn in the west, and it was after brief arguments and sad farewells that he set off to join. Magical abilities- None Combat abilities- Marksmanship, Blademastery, Enhanced Agility Artifact of Dramoria- Motive- The Scorn threatens Lothian's people as well and he intends to protect what's left of them by helping to defeat it but he also feels that this grand act would be his leave, that once it is done he can leave and find a life for himself. House Thrace held a deep hatred for the empire having descended from the last King to ever fall to Dramoria the Golden, that grudge had been born through generations. The twins themselves did not hold it as intensely as the rest of their family, more content to live their lives with one another, though they would still help in their family's endeavors to right it. As their older brother was set to inherit the estate as head of the house the twins followed other pursuits than the studying and grooming of a court noble. Publicly the two were masters of the sword, warriors to make their house proud. They would enter tournaments held for nobles and among common warriors, they were called "The Twin Fangs" for both the simple fact that they were twins and their duel sword fighting style. Privately, however, the two were incredible mages. They, with the help of their family, kept their gift hidden and found rogue masters and exiled scholars to tutor them. No magic was forbidden to them and as such they would often delve even into magics considered taboo by the Imperial academy or the Templar order. The twins had been inseparable since birth and the amount of things they shared and the closeness they seemed to have sparked rumors about just how close the two actually were, the truth of which was only known to them. But even though the two thought that together, with their power, they could face anything they would know loss. As the Scorn was first spreading House Thrace began to see it's potential as a weapon to gain an edge over the Imperial line. Keenan and Katia were sent along with troops to join one of the early expeditions against the scorn, hiding their true motive behind support for their emperor. However, even the scorned threat had not been enough at the time to halt the political schemes of some. When it became obvious that their foe was to much to face retreat was called, and as the army fell back an attempt was made on their life by a rival house. The treacherous assassins faced the wrath of the Twin Fangs but still Katia would fall before it was all over. Keenan was nearly broken by grief, he cradled his sister's body in his arms and carried her all they way back to his home. The blame for her death was officially placed on the scorn, but as Keenan know otherwise he placed the blame on the enemy he and his family had for centuries: The Empire. His family had always intended to take rule for themselves, take back what should be theirs, but rage and anguish twisted Keenan's heart and he now wanted to see the empire razed to ash. Then one day the emperor's call came, and Keenan saw his opportunity. Magical abilities- Soul magic, Necromancy, Dark Magic Combat abilities- Swordmaster, Heightened reflexes Artifact of Dramoria- Berserker plate. This armor is simple in appearance, black plates formed to fit in a way to completely cover it's wearer's body. Aside from being incredibly resilient the armor is known to enhance it's wearer's abilities while dulling their sense of pain, allowing them to stand even against overwhelming odds or creatures whose abilities would normally far exceed their own. Though as with most of Dramoria's other artifacts it's full capabilities have been lost to history. Motive- The reason Keenan gives above any other is vengeance for his twin sister, most take it to mean vengeance against the Scorn.
