Admittedly, he was pleased. Sure, it would have been nice not to have to do the work, but there was nothing quite like milking sympathy points in the hospital wing. As he packed his belongings back into his bag, he figured he needed to think a bit about his next step. He hadn't gone to see Kalder yet, so he wasn't sure if he was better yet. If he looked bad, it'd be easier to get closer to her, but even if he was mad at Kalder, hoping his best friend was ill was still kind of messed up. And then if he died then Noel would probably get haunted. Probably. Their trek to the hospital wing was quiet. Noel had nothing to say, and presumably, neither did Demi. He didn't question it, and as they reached the wing, he was surprised to see Madam Appleton wasn't around. She presumably had something else to do at the moment, but that was good news as it meant Kalder was stable enough to be left alone. As he approached the curtain, he pulled it back quietly, and was surprised to find Blake there. She was seated, her eyes pouring over notes--notes in his handwriting. She was reviewing them, although the several scratch marks meant she was also correcting them. Great. The girl didn't bother looking up, instead scribbling something in the empty space on the bottom of the parchment. Only after she would organize everything and gently place it on Kalder's bedside did she bother looking at him. Her eyes darted to Demi for a moment, though her expression was neutral. "This is Demetria Graves. We're partners for Potions, and she's letting me see Kal before we finish our homework," Noel grinned as he introduced the two. "And this is Blake Cornell." "A pleasure. I sincerely hope Miss Graves is the one heading your projects in Potions, as your notes indicate you'll end up with a bed next to Kal's with how you take notes," Her tongue was pretty sharp, although she would stand up. "I've gone and made the corrections. I'll tell Benjamin to let me handle them going forward." Noel couldn't help but scowl at her. She knew how bad he was, why did she have to bring it up now in front of Demi? Instead of dwelling, however, he looked at Kalder. He didn't look too much different from when he had passed out, although he wasn't sure if that was a bad thing. "Think he'll get up soon?" "I don't know. But his sisters have found out, and they're not happy," She stated. "You just missed them. Rosalyn in particular wants to know who's responsible." "And here I thought Marilyn was the dramatic one," Noel rolled his eyes as Blake gathered her belongings. "It's only because Kalder could have died," Blake pointed out. "Madam Appleton said he was lucky you were there, otherwise...anyway, whatever Rosalyn wants to do is her business, if you'll excuse me I'm heading to bed." She excused herself, nodding to Demi as she would leave the pair alone with Kalder. So it really was that bad. Scratching the back of his head, Noel wasn't sure how to handle that news. "Bloody hell...guess Kal was right about Balthazar trying to kill him..." He muttered.
