Cynthia
Interacting With: Gerald || Location: The Law Firm Cynthia smiled vividly at Gerald, her stomach groaning when he asked her about breakfast. Of course, she had already eaten earlier that morning, but stress brought on unwanted cravings. Strangely, she didn't allow herself time to think about the consequences of stress eating, accepting his proposal with a nod of her head. “That sounds perfect, will you bring me back a cheese danish and a london fog?” She asked, hoping he could find her two favorite cheat items. She knew the aromatic lavender in her tea would help calm her nerves, she had been using it as a relaxant for years. The sugary pastry would probably make her feel sluggish, but she figured she deserved it after everything that had happened. Gerald nodded, not bothering to put together that it was quite unlike Cynthia to order a cheese danish rather than a cup of fruit or green tea. “Of course, I'll be right back.” Gerald said, sliding the filing cabinet shut and going to exit the room. He hesitated a bit at the threshold of her office, glancing back at her to offer up a sheepish smile. Cynthia knew he was wary about leaving her alone, but she was no child. She gave him a wave, dismissing him and focusing back on her work. The door closed behind him, and she let out a weary sigh, wanting to hug herself. The only thing that kept her sane was knowing that Jason and Janelle were out there, experiencing similar phenomena. She wasn't truly alone, and if the others who were in her dream really existed, she actually had quite the group of friends. They had all shared in the horror last night had brought, and they were all working through it, bit-by-bit.
