Battle Of Dragonrage Pass

~[@Eisenhorn]~ Gnazgraz was caught off-guard from your manuever and dropped his weapons when you kicked him in the crotch, allowing you to move away and assume a more favorable position. The Varjan Warlord replied with an angry cry and a daring manuever. He grabbed hold of your blade with an iron-like grip and pulled you towards him. He then seized your neck and lifted you up with his free hand before completely holding you above his head. With another cry, Gnazgraz hurled you towards the Varjan group. There, you were surrounded and alone amongst bloodthirsty warriors. There was no escaping from their blades and axes short of a miracle. A miracle did indeed come for a dragon in the air breathed balls of fire upon the Varjans, giving a certain Askrian Prince an opportunity to come to your aid. "Hey! Are you alright?!" Alfonse called to you, fighting off any Varjan Warrior who tried to stop him. "Here." The royal handed you his Silver Sword. It appeared that you have lost your rapier whilst you went flying across the battlefield. "Get Gnazgraz. I'll clear a way for you." And with that, Alfonse began fighting the Varjans armed with only his shield. Though, he was doing a pretty good job at it. Gnazgraz was a bit of distance from you, fighting more stragglers from the encampment with his new weapon: A Steel Lance. Alfonse and the others have been distracting the Varjans to allow you a straight path at him.
~[@Polaris North] (FRN)~ Your presence in the sky caught the attention of many but that did little to dissuade anyone from fighting further. The fire you breathed further broke apart the Varjans. However, their leader lived still and so their line held and kept fighting off anyone who tried to pass through them. At the very least, you gave your allies below a space to breath and recollect themselves. However, your domination over the sky was soon challenged. Projectiles of all kinds were being hurled towards you. There were too many to evade and so you took some hits while you flew. While some were mere arrows that bounced off you harmlessly, others were of higher quality and managed to break off some of your scales. Some were plain magic and that bypassed your natural defenses. Staying in the air any further invited danger to your life but was the ground any safer?
~[@Sho Minazuki]~ Your group of misfits appeared to be split fighting two groups of enemies at once. On one side, Prince Jarde and some others were fighting a regiment of Archanean Soldiers led by a Paladin. On the other side, Prince Alfonse and his sister along with others fought the Varjan Warriors led by a gladiator-looking warrior who was keen on blocking anyone trying to leave the chaos. The Archanean Paladin was about to crush the pegasus-riding girl beneath his horse's hooves but it looked like others were coming to her rescue and deal with the horseman. Still, Archanean Paladins were not easy to defeat. They lead on the frontlines after all and that meant that they tended to be better fighters than those they lead. He was just knocked off his horse by a narrowly-avoided spear so he was more vulnerable now. Meanwhile, over at the Varjan side of the fight, things were more desperate. While Prince Alfonse and the others were doing pretty well for themselves, you could see that they were having difficulty in their fights. Unsurprising considering Varjan Warriors were clad in thick armor and wielded well-forged weapons as well as being Varjans, a people who knew war and violence since birth. You spot their leader in the middle of dealing with stragglers trying to escape, reveling in the bloodshed he was causing.
~[@Polaris North] (LNA)~ The spear you threw did not hit its mark. It was evaded, in fact, but the evasion cost the Paladin his height advantage by riding his horse. You see the Soldiers form a small line that stood between their Paladin superior and Emma and her white-clothed protector. You see Emma charge and fight the Soldiers in order to open up the Paladin to attack, the attacker clearly being the white-clothed woman. However, you know Paladins were no pushovers when it came to fighting and you have no idea about the woman's combat prowess. Also, Emma appeared to be a good fighter considering how she was able to hold off five Soldiers but they were still five Soldiers and Emma was but alone. No one appeared to be paying attention to you right now so you were free to assist either of the two.
~[@Zaphander]~
"We have to go. Can you run?"
"Yeah, yeah. I can." The girl replied. "The question is, can we?" The Paladin did not appreciate your timely rescue and was about to swing his Silver Sword when a spear thrown his way caught his attention. He barely evaded it with a sudden turn and that made him fall off his horse. His Soldiers were quick to put themselves between him and you, putting their lives on the line to protect their superior. "It's a long story but we're trying to take down the Paladin so we could escape. And this is our chance!" The pegasus girl told you, giving you a short gist of what she was trying to do. "I'll take on the Soldiers while you deal with the Paladin, okay? Let's go!" She said before charging ahead. Despite her petite figure, she did fight off the Soldiers protecting the Paladin and allowing the opportunity to strike the latter unimpeded. You spot the Paladin getting up using his sword. He saw you too and he and readied himself for a fight.
~[@Lugubrious]~ Your predicament with the two swordsmen was solved quite readily when one of them was attacked by a Prince Jarde. The royal wielded a Steel Lance and with the element of surprise, he managed to get your attackers away from you, relieving you from your dangerous position as well as giving you a moment to recompose yourself. However, the two swordsmen were not done but at least this time you had someone to fight with you. A royal of Elibe no less. "Nice to see a fellow lance user." Prince Jarde remarked as he stood beside you, his own lance at the ready. "Get one and I'll get the other. What do you say?"
