[b][u]March 24th[/u][/b]
The [b]Workers Party of Samgola[/b] announces March 24th as their [i]creation day[/i]. Not a political party, they are a political organization made up of mostly Socialists, Poor and Trade Unionists who wish to use their collective presence within the [i]Workers Party[/i] to lobby the government to pass socialist legislation. Since it's beginning, the Liberty Coalition had been a mixed bag of deregulation and spending programs, but the passage of the [b]Aviation Safety Act[/b], as cited by Workers Party President Francis Emuneweke, was the last straw. Continuing to deregulate the market was taking the power of the people. The [i]Workers Party[/i] had a small base out of Nambé with just 78 founding members.

[b]Overview[/b]: The freedom of choice act will provide the citizens the freedom and opportunity to decide what they put into their bodies and allow for the loosening of arbitrary restrictions placed on health industries

[u]Article 1[/u]: The government will not actively place regulation on private healthcare industries, instead they will only recommend health and safety legislation to these privately created clinics providing them the opportunity to set their own standards. (Competition)
[u]Article 2[/u]: The process known as “gender reassignment surgery” will no longer be made illegal in the health industries, instead the government will take no stance on the surgery and whether a private clinic wishes to perform it. Public clinics will perform the surgery with the recommendation of a health professional. (Liberty)
[u]Article 3[/u]: The process known as “In-virtro fertilization” will be made legal. Public health clinics will require that a couple present legal documentation proving their marriage, however such restrictions will not apply to private clinics. (Liberty)

[b]Parliamentary Military Oversight Bill[/b]
Preamble: Due to the actions taken in Ziwa, with armed forces and now airstrikes, we feel it necessary that the National Assembly should have a say in what actions the military take on foreign or natural soil.
[u]Article 1[/u]. Whenever a military action is taken by the president, he has 20 days to inform the assembly of all actions being taken where and why. The Assembly will then vote for approval, without approval the actions must cease.If the president doesn’t inform the assembly within the allotted time nor cease all actions taken when voted upon, an impeachment process shall begin[Political]

[b]The Governmental Oversight Bill[/b]
[u]Preamble[/u]: The aim of this bill is to ensure democratic process and government transparency within the First Republic of Samgola through the provision of a number of legal articles designed to enshrine the rights of democracy, assure proper conduct and hold to good account the government in it's administration of the nation. 

[u]Article 1[/u]: There shall be a Shadow Cabinet composed of a group of politicians who hold a political post with their party, but whose party are not in government and are in opposition. This Shadow Cabinet will form an alternative cabinet to that of the government whose responsibility is to scrutinize their corresponding Government ministers, develop alternative policies and hold the Government to account for its actions and responses. The Shadow Cabinet will be led by the Leader of the Opposition, a role which will usually be held by a member of the largest opposition party within the National Assembly. [Political]

[u]Article 2[/u]: There shall be the role of Speaker created within the National Assembly. The Speaker shall preside over the debates of the National Assembly, assuring proper conduct and order is maintained during debate. It is within the power of the Speaker to punish MNAs who break these rules of conduct during debate through temporary banishment from the chamber of the National Assembly. This position shall be held by an MNA elected from among their own ranks and whom will hold this position until the next elections after which the position of Speaker will again be voted on by the National Assembly. To assure the neutrality of the Speaker, the position of Speaker shall remain strictly non-partisan, and is required to renounce all affiliation with his or her former political party when taking office as well as when leaving the office, nor may they take part in debates or votes unless required to break a tie. [b]An Act to Amend the Cabinet of Samgola to Appoint a Minister of the Lawful Protection Bureau[/b]
[u]Overview[/u]: Whereas Article 7 - Subsection 2 of the Constitution of the Samgolan Republic requires that the Cabinet of Samgola be ratified by the agreement of more than one half of the National Assembly, and whereas executive action over the Lawful Protection Bureau is currently held by the President in lieu of an appointed minister (subject to the agreement of the National Assembly as according to Article 7 - Subsection 4 of the Constitution of the Samgolan Republic), the following provision shall be resolved.
