They ran from the town of Moonstone into the hills. Looking back, Larek could still see Lixia fighting to hold off the exploding lights, but many were getting past her anyway. Shrugging off the worries, they made it into the cave, finding a weird glowing diamond set into a holster. The diamond's color changed every few seconds, and the colors matched the lights that were threatening the town. 

"Alright, seems pretty clear" Larek, drawing his sword. He swung it at the diamond, only for the gem to shock him with whatever energies powered it as soon as the sword connected. The dracon screamed in pain and fell to the ground, dropping his sword, still very much alive, but stunned.
