I disagree with this on several different factors. For one, he actually has his parents and grandparent, two, his father works for shield and they actually know Miles' identity as Spider-Man, as does his best friend. He originally didn't even want his spider powers and was afraid of them, but Mary Jane and Aunt May's support were what made him pick up the mantle. He works currently as a mainstay of the Champions as a member of the team, opposed to Peter typically wanting to work alone. 

The only thing about Peter and Miles that are virtually the same, is that they were both high school students that had spider powers.
