The young woman couldn't help but wonder why he'd been sitting on the ground in the first place; there were plenty of benches around the area. Surely he could have used one of those rather than mess up his clothing? Nevertheless, she was glad to hear that he was alright, and when he held his hand out to her, she shook it firmly. "Lavi Kyle," she said confidently, her voice only slightly faltering and her brow furrowing when she realized that he'd inquired into her fascination in his owl; she hadn't spoken anything aloud regarding the creature. Anyhow, she decided to play it cool, peering down at the napping animal once more. "Yes, he's very beautiful. I wouldn't want to disturb him while he's trying to sleep, though, so maybe another time." As she spoke, Lavi took a quick look around at the other students who began to make their way towards the courtyard, excitement a nervousness etched on many of their faces. They were eager to hear the Headmaster speak, eager to enter through those tall, front doors and begin their new lives at the academy. Lavi's stomach churned as she glanced at the unopened front doors, but unlike a good amount of the other students, it was not due to nervousness, but anticipation instead. In fact, her attention had been so fixated on those front doors that she almost missed the last bit of what Barca said. She quickly snapped back her head to peer curiously at the fair-haired boy, her eyebrow slightly raising. Suddenly, it all pieced itself together in her head. He was a telepath. "Oh great, now even my thoughts aren't safe anymore," Lavi groaned, shifting her duffel bag from her right shoulder to her left. The girl made a mental note to watch what she said in her head whenever she was around Barca. She opened her mouth to say more, but stopped once she realized that the very door she'd been watching just a few minutes before had begun to open. She soon spotted a large, masculine figure standing in the doorway, and concluded that it was none other than the Headmaster, Bruce Wayne. Before Lavi had been shipped away to Wayne Academy, Selina Kyle had informed her youngest daughter a bit about the headmaster, only giving vague details about the time they spent together before she was born. Lavi had tried to work her charm and squeeze just a little more information out of her mother, but the woman simply refused. For now, all Lavi knew about Catwoman and Batman's past was that they occasionally bumped into each other and maybe even worked together back in the day. She was very interested to meet the man she'd heard so little about. "Look, I'll catch up with you later. Nice meeting you and your owl, Barca," Lavi said, and with that, she was off. She quickly scooped up her cat with her free hand, gently tucked him under her arm, and disappeared into the crowd of students.
