He instead acts a bit robotically, performing everything that is requested of him with politeness. Despite Guin's best efforts, his personality matrix hasn't evolved to use sarcasm properly. Instead, P.H.I.L. states the obvious and replies with absolute kindness to each and every person. He brushes off Guin's snark, having grown accustomed to it at this point. He pays attention to detail rather well, yet can sometimes be confused with human behavior. For example - why do humans insist on ingesting a liquid that is poisonous to them? And why must their food be at a certain temperature in order to be enjoyable? It's illogical and P.H.I.L. is purely logical.

History
Gen I: P.H.I.L. was created in late 2012 after the Battle of New York. Tony wanted to be able to keep a closer eye on his daughter while she was at boarding school. Of course, being a Stark, Guin never would have allowed Tony to send someone to keep an eye on her or to have one of his A.I.s on her 24/7. Instead, Tony decided that he would trick Guin into taking something that would allow him to monitor her. He told Guin that she was ready to build her first A.I. (she was only 12 years old) and suggested the name P.H.I.L., after the agent who gave his life during the Battle of New York. With some help from her father, Guin developed the personality matrix and coding for P.H.I.L. His capabilities were rather limited, originally envisioned as a personal assistant. And one night, when Guin was in bed, Tony installed P.H.I.L.'s two most important protocols: the Babysitter and Teen Angst protocols. These protocols were hidden deep in the software so that Guin would not be able to find them and disable them. Over the years, Guin increased P.H.I.L.'s capabilities, eventually loading him into a computerized watch. This watch was then smashed during the battle at the Hanson Power Plant in 2019 and subsequently stolen by Pietro Maximoff. Gen II: The second generation of P.H.I.L. was created using the saved coding for the first generation. Its capabilities and protocols were increased by Guin, as she became obsessed with the project shortly after the Brotherhood was defeated and humanity was spared. She would stay up all night working on P.H.I.L. due to the nightmares of the mental torture Scarlet Witch had put her through. Currently, P.H.I.L. is loaded onto Guin's computerized glasses and serves as her digital assistant.
