It must be something of an oddity to the music club how a pierced and tattooed metal-head could even infiltrate their ranks, since Tohru assumed everyone in here was either more into classical music...or pop, and really the only thing sorta close to pop Tohru ever listened to was Evanescence, but they still had enough of an edge of darkness to keep Tohru interested, and not to mention Amy Lee's voice of a Gothic Angel, breathtaking. Plus, the rocker had every much of a damn right to be here as much as the next musico virtuoso, and for that same reason was she here. She loved music, sure not all forms of music, metal being her most cherished, but still was she a music lover. Similar to drawing, it was an outlet for her emotions to run freely through and culminate with her creative mind, blissfully guiding her fingers either across the fretboard of a Gibson, or in this case, the keys of a grand piano. Finished with her first improvised composition, quietly she played another, having envisioned beforehand the sound of every note she would strike with every key she pressed down, another melancholic masterpiece. My was she the Debbie-Downer of this group, but some of the most notable piano compositions it had been her joy to hear were mostly dark, tragic, and full of the composer's tears, their sadness bleeding from their hands unto the keys, and it made for such a haunting and beautiful melody. Though she wasn't no Chopin, so of course every once in a while, she would accidentally strike the wrong chord and send her nerves in a frazzle, coercing her to pause with a muttered curse and a sharp sigh of irritance before she resumed. Meanwhile, she listened in on Mira-chan introducing their newest member to the club, Rika the movie star, or more specifically to Tohru, Rika, that girl that always got the most f*cked up death scenes in horror movies, like having her skull split in half in Cursed Temple of Blood. Damn, that one was brutal, but not as brutal as the others, plus you could tell they used a wax dummy instead of CGI, alot of good B-movie cliches too. Tohru could tell just by the inflections in Mira-chan's voice that her friend was rather flustered, and really who wouldn't be at their first day being president of music club, or any for that matter. She figured her pink haired room mate was wondering if she was doing a good job or not, and in Tohru's opinion, everything was running smoothly aside from a few hiccups....inflicted by her however with her brief argument with Suzumiya-san over there. She still found it humorous though, and good on her it didn't turn into a brawl like how most things end for the tough chick usually. When the other pink haired girl, the movie star, sat next to her, Tohru's eyes shifted to the little form Rika was filling out for Mira-chan. She remembered the first time she filled out the same form, and how everyone almost lost it when she put down metal as her favorite genre, along with classical of course, and if there was room for more, then she would've penned her other favorite genres too. Still she got in, so who cares? Observing the pen grace across the paper, the girl read the words Rika had written down in her mind, Preferred instrument: Singer and....guitar? Huh...does she even know how to play? Maybe Tohru could serve as a mentor to the teen idol. Yes....the master of a new metal disciple, armed with her axe, she would ride forth across the school like a plague unto the houses of the unholy, spreading the word of the greatest music in the world to all and ushering forth the new regime of metal-heads to take hold! Damn that sounded epic, almost like a Dio classic, but....all hopes and dreams of that ever happening got thrown out the third floor window when Rika penned down for genre....that most hated of words to Tohru. Ugh! Nevarmind! She glowered down at the paper, then to the back of Rika's head, almost thinking her eyes could burn a hole into the back of the movie star's skull and melt her brain...but hey, another death scene for the coffin fodder. "I should slap you for that...." She muttered to herself begrudgingly, unfortunately...it was a bit too out loud. Hastily the rocker darted to correct herself before the oblivious girl noticed, slipping on an awkward grin as usual when her words were guaranteed to probably get her ass in a bind. "Geh! I mean uh...so Rika...is it? How's music club for ya?" Smooth one, idiot. Real smooth......
