“Haaate to watch ya leave but love to watch ya goooo~” Xenos giggled to himself as he stood shakily, stumbling off towards the rooms. He turned around on his way out to pay for the bath as well and continued humming happily as he stumbled down the hall and knocked open the door. He tripped at the foot of the bed and laughed loudly as he struggled to open the equipment menu. His eyes slowly slid shut as he managed to unequip most of his gear. He passed out where he sat. An explosion sounds from the TV in the living room. All the siblings squish together on their ratty couch. Mami and Papi dance in the kitchen, radio turned up loud. Another explosion sounds on the screen and the children cheer. Shadows play in the background. The tallest girl hums absently along with the music drifting out of the kitchen before leaning down and muttering something to a pair of identical twins before they giggle to each other and pass it on to the youngest girl who shrieks and whispers in her older brother's ear. He lets out a groan as he rolls his eyes but the fond smiles gives him away. It was sibling movie night. Popcorn littered the ground, left overs from a food fight that broke out while choosing the movie. Empty cups littered the floor. A pizza box lay propped open on an arm rest. The others trailed off to bed after the movie ended, leaving the twins whispering to each other. An identical pair of mischievous grins and a glint in their eyes sent them both diving behind the couch. The shadows opened up and Matias stood alone in the woods, rifle in hand and heart in his throat. He gasped for breath as another him appeared and approached, mischievous grin turned malicious. Mateo stalked towards him and Matias couldn't move, couldn't pull the trigger. Everything in him screamed, louder and louder, nerves on fire and shaking. Mateo's jaw elongated, fur sprouted from his skin, and he dropped smoothly to all fours. A wolf, teeth dripping with blood, grinned at him and lunged. A wine glass hit the tile.
Xenos launched himself up from the ground, rifle snapping up just as quickly, and his jaw clenched as he shook with a white knuckled grip on the gun. He stood, limbs locked and breathing heavily through clenched teeth. 'It was only a nightmare. It wasn't real. I am in town. Nothing is wrong.' He repeated to himself for ten minutes before his muscles relaxed, one by one, and his grip loosened. His breathing evened out and the fog from the nightmare lifted, groaning quietly as the alcohol from last night pounded behind his eyes. What a shitty way to start the day. He sighed and rubbed at his head, looking around his room. Desk, chair, bed, person... He did a double take and slapped a hand over his mouth as everything swayed around him. Bad idea, bad idea, bad idea! He squinted at the figure laying in bed and rolled his eyes. Just River. At least he knew nothing happened. Although if he was being honest, he didn't really remember much after the fourth round of shots. Everything was a little blurry. He just remembered being pleased with himself. Maybe he managed to impress Chari? He shrugged. Future Xenos could figure that out. Right now, present Xenos felt gross and wanted a bath. So he trudged slowly out of the room and relaxed for a long while in the bath, enjoying the warm water and managing to keep everything down. A win-win really. Xenos equip his gear again after drying off and slowly made his way back into the inn's little dining area and dropped off at the bar again, laying his head down with a groan on the bar. The pounding hadn't really faded. That's what he gets for not drinking water. Hydrate or diedrate. That's the rule and damn was he paying. “The greasiest, most fattening thing on your menu would be fantastic right now and like five glasses of water. Because I'm dying pleaaaaase.” He whined without looking up. He was just hoping someone was there. If he moved much more, there wouldn't be anything left in him. He opened one of his eyes and looked at what he could see and spotted the person Chari pointed out as the guild leader sitting with a woman. They seemed pleasantly at ease. “Carajo, que bellos están esos dos...” He muttered to himself. He'd talk to the guild leader later since he was obviously too hammered to get around to it last night. Food first. People second.
Damn they are way too beautiful for their own good...
