That path being breaking and entering, smuggling, pickpocketing, you get the idea. After a year aboard Captain Varossa's ship though, while it can be exciting he still prefers less direct ways of getting what he wants. Still, If there's a ship that needs boarding then he's on it. That's his official job, if you need something done that honest, hardworking folk won't touch then he's your man. While killing isn't a problem for him, He'd rather have it be quick and over with. Not one for torture so you can look elsewhere for someone to fill that role. Otherwise, James can get you anything you want that isn't exactly yours or for sale.

[b][u]Personality:[/u][/b]
James is a flawed character, harboring disdain for those born to or possessing of wealth but always looking to get rich himself. He has a tendency to place little trust in others but demands they place their trust in him, often betraying their trust for his own benefit. While he may at first resemble a common thief, James is the closest thing to a professional criminal you will find. His ability to act and deceive has left him with surprisingly no reputation as the only accounts of his exploits are his few failures. Many see him as nothing but another petty criminal and that's how he likes it. To be ignored gives him all the opportunity he needs to make away with a heavy bag of coin. While he is no doubt manipulative, there are few opportunities where James may allow someone to enter his inner circle, to be trusted as a friend. For that select few, they become like family, able to rely on him for anything at anytime. It is for these few individuals that there is honor among thieves. James transforms from the secretive and sarcastic thief everyone knows him to be into a genuine friend that is reliable and honest. 

[b][u]History[/u][/b]
Born to a working class family on the outskirts of Laxen, James cared very little for honest work. His mind was always busy conjuring up stories of adventure where he was the hero who'd find riches and slay horrible monsters. At some point the boy became disillusioned with the world and saw now only people fighting over scraps that the rich and powerful threw away. It was then that James decided he was going to put himself on the top, and bring down everyone else who once stood there. His life of crime did not begin with him running from home, instead he remained at home, using his bedroom as a planning room for his future jobs. At the age of seventeen he spent the next four years honing his skills as a thief, hitting bigger and bigger marks each time he succeeded the last. 

When he was twenty he joined up with a pirate crew under the command of Captain Varossa, building up a sizeable amount of coin while waiting for the right time to make off with the captain's stash. Unfortunately for him, he was caught red handed by a few crewmen and before he could be executed for his betrayal his luck changed again. The storm the ship had been navigating through, got the best of the crew, tossing the vessel upon the waves. In the chaos, James was thrown overboard, clinging to cargo that had come loose. For two days he drifted along the coast before washing up on the shores of Laxen. 

With another chance at life, you'd think James would try to pursue a more honest lifestyle. In fact it was quite the opposite, with his failure he saw the opportunity to prove to himself he was still a skilled thief. From that day he'd work toward building himself back up, taking up harder and harder jobs till he was satisfied with himself and his skills.

As for the present day, James has determined himself to be one step away from reclaiming his former title. One good score is all he needs and perhaps that score involves the GREAT AQUARIUS.

[*][b]Muffled Steps[/b]- by performing a specific hand sign, James can mufflehis own as well as other's footsteps to near silence. This spell requires the caster to hold the sign for the duration of the spell.
[*][b]Throw Voice[/b]- placing a hand over his mouth, James can speak any phrase or make any sound without it becing heard. That phrase or sound is captured within the hand and upon throwing it, the sound is released upon hitting the first object it comes in contact with.
