Goals: To learn more about the world. To discover his place and role in the world. To make a name for himself through his own deeds. To live up to the image of 'a true knight.' To return to his father as a proud man and pay off their debts.
Personality: Dedication is the greatest word to describe this youth. While horrified of the many horrors that could wipe his existence off the face of the planet, inside his small body contains a large heart. Some say it could be described as fool-hardy, while others note it as been endearing. A smile is usually plastered on his face, but the time of studying and learning makes him appear cold - clearly a focused individual. Biography: In the far east, to the north, a small hamlet rested in the green fields. There, Aiden was born - unfortunately, his mother died during childbirth, leaving him with only his father to take care of him. As the son of a blacksmith, he was fated to learn his father's trade and follow in his footsteps. For much of his youth, he played with the other young boys of his homestead, and assisted his father around the forge with his craft. Despite much of his helping-hand, he never cared to learn, and found himself unable to pick up the skills for it. It seemed that he would never grow up to become successful. As if this fate wasn't bad enough, their life was soon completely changed. Bandits, in their raiding frenzy, sacked his home. While both father and son were lucky enough to escape, his elder's wrist had been broken beyond normal function in defense of his son, even through medical care. Fleeing to a nearby city with the rest of the refugees, he attempted to establish another blacksmith shop. He found that his work was too difficult, even with Aiden's help, and the two quickly descended into poverty. Unable to pay taxes to keep his store running, it was soon shut down. Eventually, the landlord came for them. Instead of evicting the two, he decided to put the old man to work to pay off his debts - work that would not pay enough for his freedom. While his father became accepting of his downtrodden fate, Aiden resisted. Watching soldiers had given him an ambition. The life of an adventurer, a warrior, or explorer was a hidden desire, even to him. To boot, there was always the opportunity to gain vast amounts of treasure and work to take care of problems 'normal' folk could not. With a heartfelt goodbye, Aiden found himself setting off into the world, blessed by his father with a few scraps of armor and a sword that had been kept after the forge closed down. From there on, Aiden knew what he wanted...to become a knight. To prevent the horrors that befell his peaceful home. To become the best that Aiden could be. Other: He likes sleeping when he gets the chance.
