Despite the ample time he was given to sleep, he had spent all but two hours working on his mine. After all, he didn't want anything to go wrong on his first day. He glanced at the clock in his hotel room. Team Rainbow's base, which was now centered in America, was quite the drive away. He would be staying there from now on, so he supposed it made sense for it to be withdrawn from society-It's not like he was complaining-but it would be hard to stay awake. He hoped one of the other operators supposedly located in the hotel could drive one of the nondescript cars that Six had provided to the base. It could offer a good chance to make important relations with a couple of the members of his team, but he would probably end up studying tactics to avoid conversation. It's not that he didn't like the members of his team, he just assumed he would get nervous and...how did the Americans say it? Chicken out, that was it. He would probably chicken out. He sighed as he laid his head on a plush pillow. Hopefully someone else would be from France. He got out of the bed, stretching afterwards. He took a brief, but effective, shower and got dressed into a grey shirt, black pants, and a jacket with a GIGN patch positioned above the heart. He positioned his glasses on the bridge of his nose, packing up his clothing into the duffel bag. However, he was quickly shocked by a loud knock at the door. Jacque glanced at the pistol positioned haphazardly on the chair beside him. He picked it up and stepped toward the door. He looked through the peephole. The curious faces of the cleaning crew greeted him back. He glanced at his watch. Merde. He shoved his weapons and mines into his duffel bags, bursting out of the room. "The room is yours. I've moved my belongings." The cleaner began muttering something in English. He was technically fluent, but he didn't make an effort to translate now. Jacque shrugged. As he entered the lobby, he realized he was the first to be downstairs. He looked around, before awkwardly settling into a seat. He was in no condition to drive, in this sleepless state. He watched the stairs and the elevator for a while. He made sure no one was watching, before pulling out one of his mines. It was a nondescript item, really. It was about the size of a dinner plate, and fitted into a slot on the back of his body armor. It had a small pressure plate. The entire thing was designed to be inconspicuous and hidden. Perhaps if one of the other operators shared his common hobby, he could show them the intricacies. He began tweaking yet again, waiting for anyone else to arrive. His jacket's GIGN patch kept most people from bothering him. Hopefully now it could help his teammates recognize him.
